Toad Hall Books and Records

Toad Hall is a must stop store for any vinyl collector. They had a great vinyl collection... Probably the largest one I've seen. They also have books, CDs, and comic books but the vinyls are the most impressive part of the store. They also had some used stereo equipment which I think is worth checking out if you're looking to replace equipment or add to your collection.

One of my favorite places to get vinyl records!! They have new and used vinyl. They have quality vintage stereo equipment for sale. They even sell vintage pinball games! It is always a fun place to stop and look around!!

Checked out Toad Hall during the Bookstore Crawl and was greatly impressed by the vinyl and cassette stock! We came home with a few and some comics/books as well. I learned they even offer CD/Vinyl cleaning services and will be back!

This store is a true hidden gem in Rockford. Anything and everything you can imagine from vinyl LP’s, cassettes, 45 RPM can be found here! The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a MUST VISIT STORE!

Give yourself time if you plan to dig through the many treasures here. Stopped by looking for back issue comics and there was so much to dig through. Stock is generally organized alphabetically, but patient digging can turn up unexpected (and non-alphabetical) surprises!

My friend brought me here and we got a bunch of records to decorate our rooms with. It looks kind of small from the outside but it's actually HUGE when you go in. There are 3 floors and a lot to look through. The records are somewhat cheap, there are some cheap bins as well and I got a couple for $2. I was going to get a book but it ended up being pretty expensive, but I still got amazing records.
I will definitely be back to buy some more records and look through more things!

The perfect mix of old and new. You can get the new vinyl you want, the classics you're digging for, and spend hours fishing through old books upstairs or forgotten records in the basement. My favorite is the long rows of classical records in the basement and the vintage SF/F book connection, and that's not even their specialty. Best place in town.

Stopped here while in town for a long weekend. Pretty solid collection of vinyl, used and new, was obvious the flow of stock is good. Basement got overwhelming as shelves are packed so tight one can barely read spine.

Several vintage audio components that were serviced with tickets explaining what was fixed which I appreciate! Had some good vintage speakers for sale, and of course new and old turntables aplenty.

Nothing was exactly a 'bargain' here so don't go expecting to fill your album collection with garage sale finds, this is a small business after all. Staff was super friendly/welcoming and didn't seem annoyed my friend and I spent over an hour browsing through everything...

First time visiting this shop. It was their 50th anniversary. Great shop with an extensive inventory to shop. Great new and used titles to choose from. Bought a shop branded t-shirt as a momento.

Great selection of new and used vinyl, different genres, they can even still find and/or order records you’re looking for at prices better than the big box stores. If you miss thumbing through the record stores in the 80’s, this is the place!

Sent my records via mail to be flattened. Great deal, $10 for three records, not including shipping. Records that were warped are now flat thanks to their record flattening machine. Items were shipped well, also impressed with the custom printed toad hall logo on the packaging. Thanks!
