Lemon Fair

I wanted to update my entry after visiting again:The Lemon Fair is cute and in general just gorgeous! I was very impressed with this little store and the items they were selling. The store is filled with fun items to spruce up your possibly dreary day! My friends and family adore getting gifts from there, they always make them smile (and on occasion laugh). If your curious they have a great instagram.

This shop was really cool, they carried a lot of cool local things and they had a good selection of toys for children. Typically these kind of shops tend to be really pricey. Not this place, their prices were really good.

Great store! Super cute and well priced with a large variety of goods. I love my earrings!

This is a very pleasant local shop that sales a variety of items from sunglasses, earrings, soaps to chocolates...

Interesting collection of local art with of course a lot of angel themed products.

Unique gifts

This is an institution of Sewanee's downtown. I grew up spending my allowance here on trinkets, as an adult coming here for any last minute gifts, and always shopped with the knowledge I can leave with a gift that reminds me of home. When I saw it had been sold and remodeled I had high hopes.
After my visit today I left disappointed. It's as if the soul of the store has been whitewashed away. Gone are the tapestries, eclectic jewelry, and (most) of the local wares. In it's place is a sparse store filled with items that can be found in any gift shop in any college town or tourist destination. I hope dearly that with time the inventory will take some inspiration from the Old Lemon Fair.
