City of Troy

Troy is a great place to live if you want to get away from bigger cities like Waco and Temple, yet be close enough to shop and work in those places if you choose. The folks are nice, and the businesses in Troy are mainly run by locals. The city is trying to update its infrastructure on a low level tax base due to only having 3000 people; if you want the big city life and/or the advantages, Troy isn't for you.

Don't move to this city. City is and going to be cheap neighborhood with low grade town homes, cheap developments, RV parks. Roads are in worse shape ever, said no money for roads, but enough money to upgrade police cars each year and give huge money for police training and etc-. No parks, no safe side walks, no drainage of the streets-to say even more they add new developments with no drainage and water will flood the existing streets which never had any repair except of pot hole asphalt dumps.
Absolutely horrible! February 2021 -3 days and 3 nights power was disconnected. Well, not for all. saw the street with shiny street lights and elementary school with lights and power and people were freezing in their houses!!! Nobody created any shelter or anything, nobody said that we were set to give power for others. SHAME!!!
Update. February 2021-same story. 3 days no power. Nobody cares.
