Chimney Rock Goldrush

Very large selection of gems, jewelry, and a few other items. The staff were friendly, and I found a few nice things to take back home. Even if you just want to take a look around, it's beautiful in there, so you might as well.

This is a sister gemstone gift shop to the one located above the gemstone mining experience at 397 Main St. It has a larger collection of stones than the other gift shop, as well as, karma stones, and some Native American paraphernalia. Aisles are tight and there are many fragile items so it can be tough to look through this one with small children who like to touch. The other one is better for families. The selection at each is varied so they're both with looking at if you can.

Fantastic selection, good prices and wonderful service. The staff was helpful, polite and answered mine and everyone else's questions expertly!

This is a must every time we visit Chimney Rock and Lake Lure! Wonderful, knowledgeable staff with beautiful stones and more!

Store is part of the gem mining across the street. This is location #2. Staff was not very welcoming. Staff at opening was when we asked for directions, but about an hour or so later when back into the shop to do some shopping and the staff were 2 ladies that seemed to be strung out on life and their brains had checked out long ago. They were so aloof and spacey. Think they were teenagers doing a summer job. Had to engage them first in conversation. They were too busy talking to each other loving how they always get to work together when it rains. Then while browsing around, one kept following us around which was very off putting. Many of the pricing on the items was different as compared to across the street. I should have did my shopping across the street. We ended up only getting one small trinket due to how the vibe was in the store. If they were more customer service oriented in there and the store had a better setup, then it would do a lot better. It should just be changed over to something like a drug store for things you can't get in other parts of town.

While the selection was pretty good the staff was a bit rude. I tried to take a picture of something and was immediately reprimanded because they don't allow pictures. If there was a sign I'd understand, but there was no mention of this rule. Also many stones were labeled genuine stone leaving me to believe they were over charging without knowing what they were selling. They also changed their name. I believe the door reads as Seven Chakras at this point. If the staff wasn't rude overall, the price points and other issues could have been over looked. I wouldn't really recommend this store in good faith.
