Beautiful park with trails around the lake and through the woods. Picnic shelters, kids' playgrounds, and playing fields. Entrance gives impression of small park, but it's not.

Great playground and lots of shade from surrounding trees. Woodchips but some cool instruments to play with for the kids. Restrooms are right nearby.

AN AMAZING PLAYGROUND! I was actually headed over to the awesome Kelly Road Park in Apex, when I passed by this park entrance. I turned around to see what was here and was pleasantly surprised by the playgrounds here! My three-year-old LOVED playing here! The two super slides they have and all the fun creative musical instruments to play on. This playground is GREAT for kids!

Such a great park! Love the trails, bathrooms are always cleaned and stocked. Never have an issue parking, and the views are lovely.

I have been visiting this park for 20 years. Our favorite part has always been the trail around the pond. You can see turtles, ducks, tad poles, frogs, lots of birds and squirrels. Trail is either boardwalk or paved. You can call the office about donating your Christmas tree as fish habitats. The front parking lot is for the larger playground. There is a public restroom next to this playground. The back parking lot is next to the field that has a volleyball court and baseball diamond plus just plenty of space to run around. There is a small playground as well. Another rsteoom is located here as well. There are shelters with picnic tables that you can ren near front and back parking lot. Check their website also for their children's programs. Stuff for all ages

Always a great place to take kids to play; especially with the new playground upgrades. Walking trail is great. Park staff do a great job of keeping facilities clean and safe. Be sure to try and find the huge snapping turtle that hangs around the wooden bridge! Looks like a dinosaur!

Nice place to let the kids play. There are several easy trails to hike and a pond also. It wasn't to crowded and the park was clean and well kept.

This is a great little park. Has fun outdoor activities on the playground, a turtle pond, and they do seasonal activity books. There are shelters to hold parties and clean bathrooms.

Crowder is one of our favorite parks in wake county. They have a big playground and two smaller playgrounds. The big playground is lots of fun! You can take a break from the big playground and walk the loop around the lake. The loop is shaded nicely. On the loop you can see the turtles, and explore the two smaller playgrounds. They also have multiple picnic shelters around the loop so pack a lunch 😊. There is a woodsy trail as well which is fun but not stroller friendly ( everything else is stroller friendly).

Just to know : The big playground can be hard to navigate if you need to get to your kid quickly. There are also some blind spots. There are restrooms at the big playground and half way around the loop ( the loop restrooms close for winter).

Wife, our dog, and myself drove to the park to walk the paved trails around their small lake. Enjoyable walk. Few people on the trails. They have a playground for kids with some modern equipment, like a slide made with rollers instead of a metal or plastic slide. Trails through woods and some prairie plantings.

What a hidden gem bordering Cary & Apex towns. Visited on a Sunday, less crowded, nice walking trails surrounding the lake. Turtle & Bird watch pavilions are nice addition.

Always a nice spot to walk. Easy paved trail used frequently by neighbors for jogging or strolling, and the unpaved Cooper’s Hawk Trail is great for bird watching and getting up close with nature. There are also several play areas for kids and shelters for picnics too.

A very nice park for kids. There is a pond where you can view turtle s and some fish. Feeding wildlife is not allowed though nor is fishing. It's a pet friendly place with a small trail

Looks like a good place to walk for exercise. I’m planning to come back when it’s not raining to check it out. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Super-fun play structure and lots of interest throughout the park. The pond has a ton of turtles that are great to watch swim and bask.

My little calls this turtle park. Head here on a sunny day, and you will see them abundance. We park past the playground and walk the trails first, which includes two little pieces of equipment in two different spots. Right now, one of which is closed for repairs. Then after the trails, we end back at the big playground. It is nice because it has musical pieces as well as separate structures, one for older, one geared towards younger. Sometimes it's just us, sometimes we bring the dogs, sometimes we bring friends. A very busy park, but still well kept, clean, and perfect for any day.

Didn't plan the visit but decided to swing by after after the Mill. Beautiful walk around the lake, lots of wild life. Kids had a blast.

A favorite for my family. Music toys and the main playground are a big hit. Different path options are great. Paved paths are nice for strollers and little ones. Dog friendly. We love the little playgrounds, docks, and swing along the path. It helps break up the length, and little kids are able to walk around the pond with ease. Can't forget the turtles either! Bathrooms scattered around as well. Events and programs... It's just set up perfectly and an easy park to navigate with kids!!
