Candlewood Suites Durham-Rtp, an IHG Hotel

I really liked the room and location. I had a quiet room that overlooked the greenbelt. The staff were attentive and very helpful.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The director of sales Mr Jarred Haggerty went above and beyond to accommodate us while we were there. The room was clean and spacious and the rates very affordable. We will definitely be back to stay here when in the area.

One of the best places you'll ever stay. The staff is very understanding and caring especially the general manager and assistant general manager. They are very professional and also compassionate with all guest I've seen them encounter..and the housekeepers are super helpful everyday Housekeeper Mrs.CeCe has helped me with so many things I've forgotten in my room and she's never showed signs of irritation. Just genuinely helpful .. definitely love it here.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very friendly. Most employees, especially housekeeping, were friendly, courteous, professional and wanting to assist at all times. There is a woman manager that needs training on how to speak to and better interact with customers and the employees. There is also a young lady, with a long ponytail, at the front desk who is not as courteous as the other employees and treat you as if you are a bother at times. I avoided interacting with her when I could. There is always a bad apple in the bunch. Do not let that deter you from staying here.

I would definitely stay again and recommend.

With friendly staff and newly renovated rooms my stay at the Candlewood Suites was uneventful. Furniture was well-appointed, bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioner worked beautifully. There was plenty of hot water and the shower had great water pressure, couldn't ask for a better experience.

Even though I have arthritis in both knees, candlewood suites hotel in Durham was great to accommodate me. It's a pet friendly hotel and very clean. The cleaning staff CeeCee has such a positive attitude and was very helpful. My room and the ones that were open as the staff was cleaning was perfectly set up and clean. Everything worked well and even the night front desk person had a fun attitude despite him "being there"!
The food commissary could have more and better choices. I will make recommendations before I leave.
The manager was on site several times during the day and evening. And. Had a pleasant attitude.
Happy with this choice for our three day stay.
I recommend it.

Seriously a great deal, $90 for a clean, big room with a full size kitchen.

Had a living room, with a separate bedroom, a nice kitchen, and a clean bathroom. AC unit was in the living room, so the bedroom was pretty hot while the rest of the place was freezing. Bathroom was new and clean. Best place we’ve stayed in a while.

Side doors and parking lot could use a few lights for safety purposes. The stairwells do reek of cigarette smoke which makes the hallways reek as well.

However, we requested a first floor room because we have sports equipment to carry, and it couldn’t go up to the second floor. We were unable to get a first floor room, because the hotel only cares to accommodate their long term residents. Maids were banging on our door HOURS before check out. Hotel staff needs to work on their priorities and customer service.

Great little place close to research triangle and Duke university. Price is great and the place is clean and quiet! The little kitchenette makes meals a breeze and food lion is only a block away for easy shopping. I had to ask for a can opener, but they had one to loan me. Full size refrigerator and freezer with ice maker is nice too. Bed is super comfy with a set of both firm and soft pillows. The recliner is very comfortable and so is the desk chair. There could be more plugs, but it is not as bad as some places. The closet is good sized so luggage is all out of the way. Forgot to mention that the staff is super friendly! You won't mind staying here.

The staff is beyond friendly. They all were very nice and willing to help in any way. I just moved here from CA and when I told them, they gave me a thorough rundown of the area, told me good places to live, eat and what attractions were around. They were happy for me to be moving here and were excited, even though it had nothing to do with them personally. Maybe it is just the Southern attitude, but they are great. The rooms are very nice as well. They are clean, comfortable and if you need anything, they'll accommodate you. I have never had a better experience at a hotel in my life and I have traveled all around the world. Thank you Candlewood staff.

Fantastic Hotel-
The staff is friendly and professional. The lobby and public spaces are very well kept and clean. They have a great fitness center and free guest laundry room. My room was clean and nice. The property is not brand new, but they keep it up amazingly and the staff and management is fabulous! Thank you for another wonderful and restful stay...I will definitely be back!

A awesome hotel for an amazing price! The staff is so sweet and understanding! We arrived super late in the night after evacuating from hurricane Dorian. They were super generous by upgrading our room for free due to the style I booked being sold out. The room was super clean and very nice! There is even free laundry and dryers there to wash your clothes! I still cannot give enough thanks to the amazing front desk staff who let me stay an extra night at the same rate due to our power not being on the day we were supposed to check out. We will be staying here again if we need to evacuate or find ourselves needing a place to stay in the Durham/Raleigh area.

I needed an extended stay hotel for a friend's post surgery care, and this hotel was ideal. It was really clean, like not fake bleach clean, well-kept by the staff clean. The ENTIRE staff is super friendly and everyone seemed to be in a good mood working there. I have only one complaint and that is that the stovetop in room takes forever to get hot and make a meal on, so just remember to stage your cooking a little differently and you'll be fine. That said, I had a great stay here. Oh, the bed is hella comfy, too!

Great hotel to stay in, Freshly renovated rooms are beautiful and very clean. From the people that work at the front desk to the ones that clean the rooms, everyone is very helpful and nice. I am staying here while I work out of town and I will not stay anywhere else. I came back to the hotel this evening and the management had pizza and sodas for the guest,how great is that. I will be putting in my reservations early for next week to make sure I get a room here.

We are staying here on an extended stay and have enjoyed our experience. Clean and nice room. We are in an apartment type room. It's updated with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with a door. Free laundry which is clean. Fairly well lit parking area. No problems so far. We work contract work and are from out of town and we like the place. Worth paying a little more for a decent, nice place to stay.

Clean, inviting doing excellent upgrades looks like it should be done in month or less. But you would never know there was updating going on because I haven't heard a peep just seen the workers. It's not bothersome whatsoever like most places when they upgrade. I've never stayed in this brand of hotel before. I'm very impressed and will stay in these whenever I can. The WHOLE staff has been great and friendly. The extra free amenities are also great. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a room within a 20 miles of here.

Very customer service friendly, I love great service! Super clean rooms, and the beds are so comfortable. If you are a coffee drinker like me they have great coffee that's always fresh and ready! Oh yeah the hotel is undergoing renovations until April, but I didn't hear any nosie my entire stay. I Love Candlewood I will be returning.

Impressed with my stay! The room was very spacious and clean and the bed is ridiculously comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful, I was seriously impressed with my entire stay as well as the price! My boyfriend and I definitely have a designated hotel every time we visit :).

This is our first candlewood suites experience and we definitely love the hotel. We originally booked 2 nights for 2 rooms, but due to the Florence hurricane, our schedule had to be changed. We extended the stay for 3 times, and finally we stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. My wife and I love the friendly staff, room cleanness, and hotel facilities. Especially during the heavy rain, we could cook in the room. Kids love the hotel too. They even missed the hotel after left. So in short, this hotel is great choice for family with kids.

First time staying here although not the first time staying in this area. I found the hotel to be nice and clean and the rooms are very good. Others have mentioned about the housekeeping but I didn't find any issues at all with that. The price is very good when put against other hotels in the region. Overall very pleased with my stay and the hotel. Will definitely be staying here again next time I'm down here on business.

I have been here once before. It was very pleasant and perfectly located near the main highways. About 15 minutes from everything. Rooms feel updated and very clean! If we needed anything the staff were happy to help. Loved that they had complimentary washer amd dryer.
