T.J. Maxx

This store is currently supporting a charity for diabetes. I got into an interesting, and rather unpleasant discussion with one of the employees about the differences between the two major types of diabetes: Type 1 diabetes (formerly referred to as childhood diabetes - this term is medically outdated) and Type 2 diabetes. Primarily differentiating the two is the cause; T1D is an autoimmune disorder where your body attacks the native pancreatic beta cells that produce insulin. The body uses insulin to uptake glucose from the bloodstream and store it in your cells! Individuals with T1D DO NOT have the ability to intrinsically produce insulin, therefore people with T1D WILL be insulin dependent. Type 2 diabetes is caused by the overuse or inefficiency of the pancreas resulting in insufficient production of insulin from the beta cells (also known as islet of langerhans). These individuals MAY need insulin, though T2D can be managed with oral medications. I care very much about this cause and hope this can help someone learn more about diabetes!

Typical TJ Maxx store, which is great. However, I find some can be in need of some tidying up. That was not the case here. Employees were restocking shelves, items were neat & organized. As I walked through the store, employees said hello/good morning (not typical!).
Overall, a great place to shop.

This is my local TJ Maxx. I go here for cheaper products from the brands I already love. I mostly shop the skincare and haircare and body care aisle. Some larger retailers I see brands from here would be Sephora or Ulta. The specific skincare brands I frequent here are: first aid beauty, cosrx, belif, Elizabeth Arden, the Inkey list. Some makeup brands here are Mac, nars, milk makeup, morphe, stila cosmetics. It's also a great place to stock up on nicer quality basics. I've seen a ton of Calvin Klein and Nautica underwear for example. The food aisle might be a little strange, but I have found great stuff like the Torani coffee syrups.

I always and I do mean always find clothing in my size. I am a very petite and a little on the chunky side young woman, so it's hard for me to find clothes that fit my hips as well as my waist that's cute and affordable. The lines are always long but for the most part you can be through there in about 5 to 10 mins depending on how many cashier's are working in the front. Do not be afraid to dig through the piles of stuff because sometimes I find little gems hidden within them. The dressing rooms are open so if you need to try anything on head to the back.

This store has come a long way over the past few years. It is consistently clean, well stocked and organized.

I shop at this location fairly frequently. I went a few weeks ago and the cashier who was working was so great, I believe her name was Prosperity. I know working in retail during the holidays is extremely stressful, and I wish everyone I worked with was as nice and helpful as she was. I had some storage containers that didn't have a tag and she went above and beyond to find a fair price for me. I was worried I would be annoying and didn't want to be inconvenient but she was so friendly and helpful the whole time. I really appreciated her!

Pretty well stocked but not much to choose from for mature women. My 86 year old aunt didn't care for the length of the dresses.

My favorite shopping place, come here once a week.

Every time I visit this location on 15-501 I have a wonderful experience. Great attentive people at the entrance greetings customers and providing information. I also have found wonderful presents, unique designs, and items that I don't find at other stores. Cahiers are sympathetic and fast! Great Job. Please don't drop the ball. I truly enjoy this store.

The service, prices and selection in this store are impressive and the customer assistance is fantastic. Team member Cynthia has helped my family members many times, especially a sister who is visually impaired and reliant on employee assistance. We found some fun holiday accessories today at exceptional values. Highly recommend.

I usually go to the TJ Maxx in Brier Creek seeing as I live about 10 minutes away, but today I decided to check out the one in Durham. I read the reviews and was expecting the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised ! They have a great selection of handbags, better than the selection at BC. Also, their shoe selection was FABULOUS ! They had tons to choose from in the boot section, along with multiple sizes to choose from. The clothing selection was well organized. They had clothes in smaller groups based off of brand which was nice. The employees that I dealt with were pleasant and polite ! Will def be going back !

I love this store! I so love there jewelry selection! The clothes are so affordable and of good quality! Nothing like shopping at Walmart where you think you’re getting your monies worth but really not! I love going to TJMAXX

I have been shopping at T.J.Maxx since the late 1980's. They have the best designer clothing, colognes and top brand accessories at tremendous savings. I love to shop there!!!

Great store to find business casual tops and work dresses. I've had good luck finding some nice blouses here for an affordable price. Highly recommend if you're on a budget and need work clothes.

Truly one of the better TJ Maxx stores in the area. Generally a great selection and wide variety of finds from budget to runway. As always, bring your patience for it is truly a treasure hunt but totally worth it when you discover that amazing steal.

It has been years since I have been in TJ Maxx. It used to be more cluttered. I was able to walk around comfortably. I was mainly looking for an inexpensive soft shoulder bag that was not too big and not too casual but not too dressy either. I found one that was soft but I wanted a longer shoulder strap. Then I found one that I really liked the strap length but it was not soft enough. Both were marked down. I went with the soft one marked down from $100 to $65.
