Amy is amazing! My dental hygiene has improved dramatically since I have started routine cleaning appointments with her. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Amy and Dr. Shepherd compliment each other well and their collaboration makes for a great visit every time! I feel confident that my teeth have the best of care and a healthy smile to show off!

It’s always a pleasant experience when I go to Modern Dental! All of the staff are kind, courteous, and friendly.

A big shout out to Yaz and Nicole, whom are always greeting me with friendly smiles, reminders, and laughter each time I enter for an appointment and when I leave!

Dr Sheppard is excellent! Both knowledgeable and quite skilled, his compassion and his genuine care is what creates a positive experience each time I go.

THE BEST OF THE BEST!! I’m a long time patient who chose to stay on even after Dr Cunningham sold her practice to Dr Brad a year ago. She personally chose him to ensure her patients would be in excellent hands! Amy is thee best RDH I have ever come across who is top notch like Dr Brad and the rest of the awesome office staff!

I noticed a couple negative reviews and after looking into the complainers previous other reviews… just a typical “Karen” with a complaint about every business she rated! Don’t let petty and I inaccurate reviews harbor your own personal experiences! I highly recommend MD of D!

I love all the staff that works here! So much positive energy all the time. I love love love Amy! She has been my dentist since I started going a few years ago! I love her energy so much! She always has a smile on her face and is so positive when I see her! I love listening to her stories when she does my teeth. I just started Invisalign not too long ago and loving it so far! Highly recommend

I love this Dental office. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. My hygienist, Amy is an Angel. Not only does she take care of my teeth but she gives me great advice about my health.

This is the most wonderful place! Never like going to the Dentist-but that has changed now, with Dr. Shepherd’s Modern Dental. Everyone knows what they are doing. Yaz, is without a doubt the best at meeting your needs for appointments and running this office. Lauren is Dr. Shepherd’s assistant and is an expert at what she does. I have been amazed at how smooth everything runs in this office. They are kind, efficient and experts at what they do. Thank you Modern Dental, you have made coming to the dentist almost enjoyable

10/10 would recommend!! After a not so great experience at another dentist in the area, comparing the two is like night & day. Modern dental wins hands down! Yaz was so great from the start and it didn't stop there with the amazing people who work there- I interacted with every team member during my visit and they were all so friendly & wonderful. My hygienist, Nicole, was so great, explaining everything beforehand and was just super kind. The dentist was very helpful & knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. I will be doing invisalign and will be in the office frequently in the coming months and I couldn't have picked a better practice to go with!!

Can't give this place enough stars! Amazing team, from the front desk staff to the Dental Hygienist AND the Dentist! Everyone is so welcoming and nice. The atmosphere is calming and nice. Moving from NY to NC and being new here I was afraid to just go to any Dentist since I care ALOT about my teeth and have since I was a child. This place exceeded my expectations! My Dental Hygienist Nicole is amazing and the Yaz (could be spelling wrong) at the front desk was amazing, nice and helpful! Super glad I heard about this place.

I just left Dr. John Shepherd @ Modern Dental. They have an awesome team, but the "AWESOME-EST" is my hygienist, Amy H., who always impresses. She's incredibly knowledgeable and extremely personable. She teaches while performing her duties & has a wonderful demeanor. She's a big part of why I visit twice per year.

Every visit with Team Awesome is simply amazing. They’re always so sweet and they explain every piece of what’s going on in your appointment. Shoutout to Nicole, your joy for your job shows!

Great team! Advanced tech, highly skilled, friendly & personable. Best level of care I've had anywhere. Even after I moved to another part of town, my teeth are worth the travel back!

Dr. Shepard and his team are the best! They tell you exactly what to expect before starting your dental procedure and keep you updated along the way. Also they check in with you during your dental procedure to make sure your still doing okay.

I have been a part of Dr. Shepherd’s practice since he took over (and approx 35 yrs prior!).
Dr. Shepherd and his staff are definitely “team awesome!” Amy has been my hygienist for a few years and I cannot say enough good things about her! She is clinically so thorough and explains the entire process so well! I am a nurse and really appreciate her expertise! And she is also just a fun and genuine person to be around!
I recently completed the Invisalign process and Dr. Shepherd and Lauren were great through that experience! Yaz runs the front desk and she is always so helpful and pleasant. Overall very happy to be a patient at this practice! Highly recommend!

I love Amy. I was afraid to get my teeth cleaned, but Amy is excellent at her job and is very reassuring and kind. Yaz is also super friendly and kind. I got Invisalign with Lauryn and Dr. Shepherd, and I am amazed by the results so far. I almost cried the first few weeks when I saw all the changes.

They got to see me right away, they did some deep cleaning on my left upper teeth, and did a filling on my chip tooth beaucse there was a cancleation. The people are very nice and professional as well as the enviroment, it was very clean and well kept. My Dentist did great job and he was very well imformed and honest!

Yaz and Ammy are so sweet. Such nice people and make you feel like family. Always look forward to going to the dentist :).
