Bull City Solera and Taproom

We stopped in at lunch time and it was a good experience. It was not super busy. There were two other groups there. You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. The beer we got was great and the food was too. It was a quick place to eat that was unique and yummy. We got the mini burritos and they were plenty big for lunch. They also had specialty cocktails and frozen drinks that at we didn’t try.

The “that’s bull shot” burrito and chips and queso were 🤌🤌🤌. The homemade chips are filling and you get a lot for 1 person but perfect for 2-3. Burrito melted in my mouth and it’s actually not too spicy, so I bet you can ask them to handle that if that’s your thing. Got the English style IPA and it’s very drinkable for 6.1% (I think that’s what the % is). Have to come back!

I don’t often give out 5 stars, but this spot deserves it. I had a Mexican pizza and my husband had a burrito. The Mexican Pizza (don’t you dare call them nachos) was crunchy to the last chip and each chip had toppings on it. The cocktails were also fantastic and well balanced. I recommend this place if you are looking for a new spot to become you next favorite.

Funky place with good food and Bull City brews. Used to be a drive thru chick FIL a and they embraced that in turning it into their own place. Good burritos and the drinks are pretty good. Very basic cocktail menu and not a ton on tap but I expect that to get better as time goes on. Big outdoor sitting area too.

Love Bull City Solera! My fave is the roasted broccoli burrito - so flavorful & love all the textures! Their flour tortilla chips are AMAZING!! Pinball machines & fire pit are great too!

Great time. The porkole Mexican pizza (don’t call them nachos) ;) were awesome. The beers were English style, refreshing and delicious. But the cocktail Good Ol’ Bull stole the show! Johnny the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. Will be back!

I love this place for so many reasons. My kids enjoy it for the play and for the food. When I’m there with adults, I think the beer selection is excellent and so is the atmosphere. One of my top three places in Durham for great drinks and casual eats. Staff is exceptionally kind and accommodating.

The staff is always so friendly here. The food is consistently good, and the margaritas are excellent! I love that they are generous with the napkins.😀.
Parking is so easy compared to downtown Durham!

If you like the Bull City Brewery and Burgers in downtown, this is the same folks doing the same great beers and offering a variety of burritos, appetizers and such. Their Chimichurri Chicken burrito was worth a visit by itself.

Simple and open space with some retro pinball and foosball. Super nice and helpful staff.

i had a great time during lunch on my birthday yesterday & was pleased to not find an overabundance of ipa on tap!

instead i discovered your amazing reserve beers (solera was a fave) i was also shown your solera barrel system behind the bar which may be the only beer aging system like it in the world. i wonder why this brewery is not on the cover of magazines & a must stop for international foodies & beer enthusiasts?

i want to visit your brewery location sometime but for now i praise your decision for not making so many ipa's. i was impressed that your brewery has 2 cicerones (including 2nd level) & 1 more in the oven, ha

not only is this the best beer i've had in the area since weeping radish, the food is amazing. the chef was outstandingly personable & explained that the reason the burrito beef melted in my mouth was that it was cooked in beer 16 hours, wow! the soft drinks were all fantastic natural flavours - it has been many years since i've had Birch Beer & possibly never on tap, but i also want to enjoy the ginger ale, orange vanilla & cream soda. the ice cream was made onsite & sourced from a local creamery. the lettuce comes from a small 2 acre farm.

the only downside was the overwhelming music that intruded on conversation instead of being in the background where it belongs

i plan to return soon, who can say no to free pinball on tuesdays?

OMG, can there be anything better than a burger from Bull City Solera??? Seth and his crew do an amazing job of bringing superior beef and beer to the public. His employees are stellar and the service is, too. This is my go-to place when I crave a great burger!!!

Full bar, signature Bull City Brewery beer, and an awesome projection TV. Loved the pinball, Foosball, and you can pick your music! Delicious food, best bartender in town and a great place for two or a group! You have to check this local gem out!

Great food and staff. Super friendly cashier right when you walk in that was happy to answer all of my questions. The food is amazing and I’m so glad we have a locally owned spot making homemade food in the middle of busy shopping centers that makes it easy to stop for a quick bite. Pro tip: get the curly cheese fries!!

One of the best restaurants in Durham! The attention to the quality of all of the ingredients is remarkable. Awesome cocktails and mocktails. Creative and delicious. Great atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend.

Great burritos- good vegetarian and meat options. They make their own chips (and queso dip, pictured) and looks like they make/mix their own soda flavors too. Good sun sail-covered and umbrella picnic table outdoor seating options.

This is the fruit of someone’s passion for a great burrito! The facility is very clean and inviting, the customer service was ON POINT, and the food was VERY GOOD! I underestimated the size of the burrito! If there was a such thing is a craft burrito this would make a great definition.

I discovered the Solera when I was searching for one of the few remaining Demolition Man pinball machines still operating on Earth. Before I could even blow my first quarter I was knocked out by an intoxicating aroma that turned out to be the Lipstick on a Pig burrito. It's one of the best bites in the city of Durham, which I have now made my home solely because it has a Demolition Man pinball machine. On each subsequent visit to the Solera, I have been sidetracked from my Demolition Man pinball mission by a bevy of delectable foodstuffs - the Devils on Horseback, the best chips and queso in town, and some of the tastiest grass-fed beef burgers this side of San Angeles. I was determined to blast those Demolition Man bumpers the last time I was there but dang, my fingers were so sticky from the fantastically frosty House-Made Soft Serve Ice Cream, I just couldn't bring myself to defile those pristine flippers with my unclean hands. I hung my head and moved on. Some day, Mr. Stallone, I will heed your call. Oh, and the beers are fantastic - the Hibiscus Saison is my personal fav, but any one will do.

Food is SOOO good, and a huge hit with both kids and adults in our family. A favorite for an easy night out with kids. They love the pinball and foosball and we all eat well. Plus they have amazing softserve!!

Wow...burritos and quesadillas are soooo good. Pinball to play! I'm definitely coming back!
