Gulf Coast Animal Hospital

I recently brought my 4 month old kitten to Gulf Coast. The office looked well maintained and they actually let their office cat roam free (she's super social and sweet). I could tell that they handled the pets frequently, which I liked. I was able to get him neutered and microchipped for a total of $220. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Edit: as of 5/27/22 The nurses and Dr. deserve 10 stars because they do such an excellent job with my babies. Over the last few years, they've helped my cat who suffers from blockages frequently, which unfortunately happens before holiday weekends it seems. No matter the case, they still go above and beyond to take care of my pets and do it all while providing excellent customer service. They're just great people and I am grateful to all of them for everything. I highly highly recommend them to anyone in the area. If you're out of town or on the beach, they're worth the drive.

I am new to PC and didn’t have a vet set up. My sweet dog was having an emergency and needed to be seen. Hours of calling many vets and no one could get him in, but the wonderful staff at Gulf Coast got him in no questions asked and walked me through every single process and did an amazing thorough job. Unfortunately he was very sick, and I had to put him down. Dr. Atwell and staff walked me through everything and were so sweet, supportive and courteous of the difficult time me and my sweet Dexter had to endure. They are just some of the sweetest, kind , humans ever. I will be recommending them to everyone I know that has fur-babies.

The first thing that I noticed when I walked in this office was that it smelled clean! It wasn't crowded and there wasn't a long line of people waiting. This is probably because you have to make an appointment in order to be seen. I was able to complete the necessary paperwork online prior to my appointment which was very convenient. The exam room was clean and smelled good as well. Dr. Caitlyn Franklin was very informative and professional. I highly recommend this veterinary office. 🐶😊

This place is beyond words amazing! During the whole hurricane Michael time, when we were displaced and our regular vet was closed from damage, Gulf Coast Animal Hospital allowed us to bring in our sick doggies without any hesitation! They checked them out, did tests, found the issues, and treated them and made them better! I am beyond thankful for all they did for us and I can't tell them enough how much they mean to my family! They treated us like we were family! They took extra special care of our babies and they even gave us dog food and medicine to help lower our costs! They are amazing and so kind! I definitely recommend them for your precious pets! I commend them for their kindness and care and I hope they know how much they blessed us!

Our vet was closed because of Hurricane Michael and one of my dogs was out of her heart medicine, so I called and explained the situation and the lady was kind and said it wouldn't be a problem, so I took her medicine bottles to them and they filled them while I waited and as a bonus the medicine was cheaper than I normally pay! Everyone there was very nice and professional. I think this is going to be our new vet! Thanks everyone for you kindness and compassion during such a hard time.

The care we received at Gulf Coast Animal Hospital by Dr. Jim Smith and his team for our cat Lucy was incomparable. We were always given great advice, affordable solutions, and utmost care for our girl. They provided excellent care all the way up to her last day of life and even on such a hard day for us as a family, the went above and beyond to make it bearable. They truly treated her like a member of their own family and for that we will forever be grateful. I would highly recommend this Vet Practice, especially Dr. Jim, Victoria, and their sweet receptionist Dana.

My dog has been coming to GGAH since she was a puppy. She's. Ow 15 years old. I had an emergency with her and took her in at 8:00 in the morning. There's a whole new staff there and they barely knew her. They were slammed with patients but took her in and thoroughly checked her out for me. Gave her x rays and spent almost an hour with her, accurately assessed her problem and gave her medicine that helped her immediately. I've had her home for 3 days now and everything is great with her. So happy to have them as my dogs doctor!

Took my cat in for urination problems and Dr. Kristen was great. She is very knowledgeable and can any questions you have about your pets health and care. The staff is very nice and friendly from the moment you walk in the door. You can tell that they really do love animals! I would definitely recommend Gulf Coast Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a great place to take your furry friends!!

This is by far the BEST vet clinic my 4-legged babies have ever been to! The staff are always super friendly, very knowledgeable in what they do, and treat your pets as their own! The ease of scheduling appointments is great and the office is always super clean too! Keep up the great work!!

Wonderful clinic, was sorry that Dr. Scott retired. Bella felt comfortable with him. Have not had the opportunity to meet the new doctor, actually that is good, meaning my Bella is healthy. Well, worth the drive to know she is in good hands & happy.

Dr. Kristen and staff are the best around. They combine friendly, personalized care with knowledgeable and professional service- and their rates are always very reasonable. They also offer comfortable and convenient boarding services for those times when you just can't bring your pet to where you're going. We wouldn't trust our pets with anybody else, period.

Dr Kristen and her staff far surpassed my expectation of the care they gave my cat. Where another vet downplayed Ellie's condition Dr Kristen was concerned. She worked Ellie in for surgery the very next day. I don't think she was even out of the operating room before they called to tell me the surgery went well. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with her explanation of everything and answered all my questions. Can't recommend her highly enough!!!!!!

A friend recommended them for care and boarding. Dr Kristen and the staff were very caring and professional! I know I'm leaving my dog in great hands when I have to travel. Great folks and friendly service. I changed to this clinic a couple of years ago after hanging on to a lost hope that my old vet clinic would improve. I have been satisfied and happy with my decision. The folks here are friendly and do a good job at caring for my dog. They will do something that seems to be a lost art these days; listen.

We have been beyond grateful for the expert care given to many of the dogs from our rescue. We have used the clinic for some very routine tasks, and also for serious issues, broken leg, parvo puppies and bloating xrays. The care they provide is done with professional skills and personal feelings! We always feel confident in their services. Even on the one sad occasion that the problem was not one that could be solved, their efforts were 100% and their handling of our pup was compassionate. We highly recommend this clinic!
