Hunt's Oyster Bar and Seafood

What a fun place with excellent food! This restaurant was recommended by a local and she gave great advice. Food, service and everything was great! We will be back!

This is by far the best place one could eat seafood! Great atmosphere, great crew and great food. You will not find better tasting oysters anywhere else. Crab claws are also great! Plenty parking even at busy lunch hours. This is my go-to place each time I visit pcb. Always crowded but they will seat you quickly. You must get oysters and other seafood at Hunt’s or you are missing.

This loud wanna crazy restaurant is amazing. Small simple and delicious. Seafood is outstanding and fresh. The gumbo, red snapper and flouder had no complaints. The oysters and crab cakes were some of the best I've had in the south. It was delicious and well worth the long wait. A must try!

Place is small and has limited parking but it’s one of the best to eat fresh seafood. The grouper and the flounder were delicious as well as the oysters. I will definitely go back.

We brought in our cleaned, catch straight from the charter boat. They cooked our catch 3 ways, and we paid for them to serve it with 2 sides of our choice. Amazing!! People around us stared at our platter with envy.

Hunt’s Oyster Bar and Seafood was a fantastic recommendation by my driver. I was in town for work and asked about popular seafood restaurants, so glad I went here. The building is being remodeled on the outside during my visit, but the line gave away the good food inside. The oysters premium are some of the best I’ve had and they shuck them right in front of you. The grouper I got blackened and was fresh and delicious. This is a must if you love seafood.

Our first visit to Hunts even though we’ve been living here for 2 years now. Oh my god, why did we not make it here sooner. The very best grouper tacos we’ve ever had in our lives. Fantastic oysters. Amazing service! Our server was Laurie. Owen was constantly cleaning and such a nice gentleman. Great experience all the way around.

We've eaten A LOT of oysters, and these are BY FAR the best oysters we've ever had. Hands down the best. No comparison. There's about a 2 hour wait, but worth every minute. They are going to open an upstairs in about two months so that should help with the wait time. Don't pass this place up. Go. Indulge.

Oysters were delicious. Ordered the 3 cheese, cajun and Rockefeller flavors. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This visit was our first to Hunt's and hopefully it won't be our last! The food was delicious, and the service was great. The place was VERY busy and I wonder if they might be expanding upstairs, there is a LOT of construction going on around the building. I hope it doesn't change if they do expand because this was such a wonderful experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

One of our favorite places to eat while visiting PCB!! The atmosphere, and food is the best!! Good down home restaurant. The staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal!!!!

Hunts Oyster Bar and Seafood offers an authentic and satisfying seafood experience that’s well worth a visit. The variety of clams, from the tender and flavorful steamed to the exquisitely textured baked, showcases the kitchen's skill in bringing out the best in fresh shellfish. The snow crabs are equally impressive, with sweet, flaky meat that pairs perfectly with warm, drawn butter. The service is attentive and professional, a refreshing surprise in such a bustling establishment. While the atmosphere is loud and the wait can be lengthy, these are small prices to pay for the quality and care that Hunts puts into its food.

Receptionist from the Rent-A-Car agency at the airport recommended this restaurant, she suspected it may be closed by the time I arrived, but I attempted anyway. it was difficult to find initially because of the construction on the exterior, but there was an employee near the front door who greeted me with a smile and welcomed me in to the restaurant. He mentioned they had modeled the kitchen and were working on a few other things.
Once inside, it appeared to be closing, but the staff made no mention of it. Bar staff and cleaning team recommended some great dinner options. I ordered the Poboy sandwich and Rockefeller oysters.
Food was great. Service was amazing.

I should preface this review with the fact that I have never had any oysters of any kind, ever.

I was able to enjoy the cheese covered oysters first. These are cooked and there was nothing terribly fishy or weird about the texture to these. For someone who again has never seen an oyster I have to comment and say, I had no idea they were as big as they are! But that's the unique part of here. Hunt's oyster bar has generously sized oysters and seafood which makes this restaurant an excellent place to come and eat. Wait times can be upwards of an hour or more unless you're there first thing, but it is very much worth the wait.

The fried shrimp was very tasty. The fries are seasoned well and the baby potatoes were another great choice to choose as a side.

I finished off with key lime pie and was very satisfied with the entirety of my meal!

The two hush puppies I had were the only things that could have been seasoned better.

Overall 5 stars! Would love to come back if I'm ever in the area!

Absolutely excellent. A very quaint bar with good character. I had a dozen of the oysters which were so good and then I had grouper cheeks fried with sweet potato fries and okra. Everything was so good. It was a great atmosphere. It was fun to sit at the bar and see all of the activity. I would highly recommend it.

Fabulous food! The Cajun oysters were delicious, great atmosphere and the evening shuckers are a bit of entertainment.

Live music and a bar outside while you wait and a small play area for the kids. We ate here multiple times, if your there earlier in the day you are seated quicker. Dinner time and weekends there will be a lengthy wait.

The fish was perfect! Really all the food was. The gator bites dish won’t fill you up but it is so good! They do not have margaritas, but their other drink choices are not half bad!

Delicious! Super packed and tight inside but well worth it. Employees shucking oysters at the bar and singing to the music was super cute! Our server was good and service was quick considering how busy they were. We arrived around 5 so were lucky to get in with very little wait. We ordered the gator bites, steamed shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, and a cup of the gumbo. All were delicious! Definitely recommend!

Energizing and refreshing. This place was fun. The staff played music that got the crowd involved and cutting loose. The food was good but a little pricey. Our hotel had suggested it and we were so glad they did.

My wife and I had heard many great things about Hunt's Oyster Bar from our family, and it was one of the spots that we were determined to visit upon our visit to PCB/St. Andrews. We were NOT disappointed! Their oysters were amazing, my wife is not usually a fan of raw oysters, but she thoroughly enjoyed them at Hunt's. The food and atmosphere were amazing, even while construction to the second floor was being done. Can not wait to visit whenever the upstairs section is done! We were seated at the bar, our service was very fast and very helpful. We highly recommend Hunt's to anyone that enjoys seafood and great atmosphere.
