These folks are amazing!! I’ve been with them for 8 years. Have a vehicle financed, a seasonal loan & have RE-financed multiple times to make ends meet. As far as paying ahead; I do that all the time & my account indicates that I do not owe for the next month or two!! I’m addition, after Hurricane Michael they ALL, including the Pensacola folks, went above & beyond to defer ALL my payments for 3 whole months since I lost my job!! By far the BEST Credit Union EVER!! Thank you everyone!!

They are always there for me when I need them! Janet, Candi, Debbie, Lakiktha, Meagan are all super helpful and understanding! I moved here and this was my only option for shared branching! They helped me straighten out issues, and also helped me research past issues I was having! I wasn't even a member! They went over and beyond! I am so grateful....I quickly became a member!
Recently Jailyn has joined the team and greets me by name! I love my Credit Union!

This credit union ROCKS!!! Went in for a car loan and got approved on the spot. My other bank of 3 years gave me the run around for a loan. Going to close my accounts with that other bank and just do business here.

Central has always worked with me. My previous bank would not help me with loans or credit. Central worked with me and now I can get any loan I need.

I like this Credit Union almost as much as Tyndall Federal Credit Union and the Panama City employees I have been in contact with have been polite and kind and professional and I am thankful for the high credit card limit I have been given to use if a real necessity comes and I do not have the funds available especially. They claim to be a second chance Credit Union that's not the case .The say they are but when it comes to banking and other related items such as secured loans they are not even for a secured card they are not what they say they are so beware

They don't deserve 1 star! RUN FAR AWAY from this place! They literally make up rules as they go and they will TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT at their leisure. The branch manager Lakethia is RUDE and BEYOND terrible and will make your life difficult just because she feels like it. Just like one of the previous reviewers we too had a NIGHTMARE experience from this terrible place.
They refused to accept the power of attorney for our mother whom had suffered a MASSIVE stroke and was in a nursing facility. It wasn't like we could just load our Mom up and drive her down there as she was PARALYZED and was in a facility over an hour away. My mom was single at the time of her stroke so I was responsible for paying her bills including for her medical care. With my Mothers permission and her log in credentials I paid her bills via BILL PAY. The bill for nursing facility that she was in took up almost the entire amount of her measly social security check so there weren't many other transactions going through her account. It wasn't a secret and I wasn't trying to hide anything. I told the branch manager Lakethia that I was paying my mothers bills which she could EASILY see the few transactions by looking at her account. They didn't have an issue with it until I was no longer able to pay my mothers credit card payment because her savings ran out.
I let them know the situation and that I was waiting on a reimbursement and I would catch up her credit card payment. They could've cared less and instead of being decent human beings, they decided to begin withdrawing her social security immediately when it was deposited. Which left us UNABLE to pay the bill at my mothers nursing facility. I called the credit union once again and explained that I would be getting some extra money soon and BEGGED them to PLEASE stop taking my Moms social security money because the nursing facility would refuse her care and would discharge her.
We had been LOYAL members of this place for MANY, MANY years (since they were Telco). We've had many loans and credit cards with them which were always paid off and NEVER once missed a single payment. So it's not like we were just random strangers from the streets who decided not to pay our bills!! We were TRUST WORTHY members.
Instead of being a DECENT HUMAN BEING, the branch manager Lakethia decided to lock my Mothers account so that I could no longer pay her bills. I'm certain she did this because I finally had to start transferring my Moms social security check into my account so that I could fully pay my moms nursing facility bill instead of allowing them to STEAL money out of her account. Again the branch manager Lakethia could EASILY see that after I transferred the money into my account I was using bill pay to pay the entire amount of her social security to the nursing facility. She knew the situation yet decided to be EVIL instead. They had no choice but to unlock the account after I put my Mom on the phone however, that wasn't before commenting to me " Well I thought your Mother was incapacitated?" HOW EVIL???!!!
My mother was PARALYZED and was in patient at a facility that was over an hour away so unfortunately picking her up and taking her to the credit union or even to another institution to open an account wasn't an option for us.
I had just suffered the trauma of finding my completely healthy mother unresponsive on the floor of her home after suffering a major stroke. My sweet, precious, healthy Mother was now PARALYZED and dealing with serious medical issues. We just had our precious Mom and Mimi suddenly ripped away from us and was now literally fighting for her life. Our world was SHATTERED and this is how the people at this AWFUL place treated us!!!!!!! I could go on about the other DISGUSTING things that they did to us but I'm going to leave it right here. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS INSTITUTION or you will be SORRY. They should be BEYOND ashamed of themselves! God don't like ugly, Lakethia. Oh and Panhandle Educators Credit Union is a WONDERFUL institution.

I need to share this experience. My mother used this bank and was dying of cancer. I needed a power of attorney to pay her bills. The bank manager and her higher ups forced my dying mother to provide 6 different power of attorneys declining one after the other. Never did they offer to help my mother with the process. My mother died a couple months after this fiasco. A bank should help people in this situation not cause unwanted stress. In hindsight the bank did this on purpose I'm guessing to protect themselves. Horrible experience. My mother also had another bank that accepted the first power of attorney no problem. I think this situation speaks for itself

Rudest people in Panama City. Almost everytime I go.thru drivethru to make an RV payment the lady starts talking to me then wont opennthe drawer then helps customer in next lane. Calling corporate and complaining does no good. Even when they make mistakes on your account like not accepting a payment then saying we didnt make one they never admit their mistakes or apologize. Corporate office doesnt care. They dont return phone calls. No wonder they have to have a police in lobby because they treat customers so poorly.

I like paying my auto loan in advance according to my statement at the end of Feb the due date was July 13, 2016.I made two more payments in May. The credit union set my due date back to July 13 2016 . I was penalized for making extra payments. I was told I have to make a payment every month regardless if I pay in advance this is part of the contract. I questioned why I was sent a statement in Feb that my due date was in July.My due date is still in July after making two more payments in May I would not recommend them .

Thus place is absolutely ridiculous!! I have to mail, drop off or go in the bank to make my car payment now because they now charge 10$ to make the payment over the phone and do not offer online bill pay. I was immediately told to put on a mask, which should be my choice, everyone there is caged in plastic cubical already, but I complied picked up a mask walked to plastic covered window and said I need to make my car payment, to a teller who by the way is NOT masked behind her shield. She asked for my member # as I was looking it up, my mask was not covering my mouth so I could speak, I was told to put my mask completely on. Are you kidding me, your not wearing a mask and I'm trying to speak. I immediately walked out. You should definitely make it possible to pay online as it is 2021 and you are obviously concerned about this pandemic, but I am not ok with being told to wear a mask as I am trying to speak by an employee who is not wearing one. SMH, do better!!
