Went on a night hike tonight. Beautiful trail through the national park. Several trails that it runs into for you to make your hike be as long as you would like.

Pine Lane to Boston Store is a nice challenging 4 mile out and back hike. You can start your hike in either direction. The trailhead is easier to find starting at Pine Lane Trail Head. The trail has narrow roads and wider lanes. Two big hills gets your heart pumping. It can be very rocky with plenty of tree roots at times. This trail is not a loop, but you can get onto the Towpath as you come out of the forest by the Boston Store. Make sure you stop at the Boston Store and pick up some maps or souvenirs.

A beautiful trail for a winter hike. We went out on the Buckeye and came back via the Valley Bridle trail. The trail is quite muddy and the bridge crossing Boston Run on the Valley trail is damaged, but there are places to cross when the water isn't high.

Probably one of the more secluded trailheads in the park. Very nice. Good water crossings. Bathrooms are available.

Well visited trailhead with the gateway to one of the best loop hikes in Northeast Ohio. Take the Buckeye Trail north to the Towpath then back through Peninsula, with a return up the hill. The terrain, features, and history will give you a taste of everything the Cuyahoga Valley National Park has to offer.

Love this place. "Pine Tunnels" Water crossings. Good amount of elevation change. Can get a bit muddy after rain falls.

Great place to hike! Beautiful trail, although it can be strenuous. Includes a couple of river crossings, and it can be muddy, in the spring. Hike from here, 5.1 miles to Boston Store. I highly recommend a stop at the Trail Mix store, for Mitchell's Ice Cream, before heading back to Pine Lane, or continuing on 1.5 miles to Blue Hen Falls, another strenuous hike, but well worth it!

This is one of my favorite birding spots. The ravine releases the birds a bit after sunrise, and out they come, popping up in the bushes and trees around the parking lot. It is a very small parking lot, and the large hiking groups fill it up quickly.

Good place to park for hiking. You can put together a nice loop hike by combining sections of the Valley and Buckeye trails.

Nice trail, go to 80 and then turn back, that's the best part.
