Twin Lakes Park

Playground for children and tables chairs and shelter for Birthday parties etc. That's all we did but I'm sure there are other things too. Beware of the entrance, dirt bumpy road that needs to be paved with concrete! The bathrooms are NOT clean and have a very funky smell!

It's a nice spacious park. Getting there takes you thru a neighborhood. There's two lakes, each on one side (hence the name Twin Lakes). As you continue back, there's a small park, and if you keep going a field (a soccer field, I believe).

Great public playground for kids! It is also safe because there are always some families with the little ones.

Great place to sit and enjoy some fishing or just hang out by the lake a lot of shaded areas. Great shelters for parties or picnics and bathroom are by the shelters.

Excellent park for a variety of activities. Watched a soccer game on the turf field and played some basketball on the courts behind the field. Both are in excellent shape. Not a lot of shade so it can get very hot really quick.

Great for a short walk and nice park for the kids...shelters with grill so a great place for a family cookout! Bath ooms available too.

Always a great place to play soccer or even take a job with a field surrounded by a paved walk/run path as well as a nice little park for the kids. Good scenary and peaceful environment.

My 2 year old granddaughter birthday party was held there and it was enjoyable. We had everything included in our reservation at the park. Huge picnic shelter, awesome playground for the kids and nearby restrooms. We are extremely satisfied with the park's accommodations. I still need a house for events like this. Lol. It's worth the money, for a large shelter is $105 if you are a city resident. Happy happy happy. 😊

My family really enjoys it here. Nice play area, nice soccer field. Big picnic area. Great for a birthday party. Nice & relaxing to walk around. Lots of geese. My kids enjoy feeding them. just watch your step for poop. We go often.

This is one of my favorite parks in Durham. It has everything in a small area. It has both big and little kid play areas, 2 bucket swings, 4 regular swings, and 3 bouncey toys. It’s pretty shaded and has a wall around it that can be used as seating. It also has a shelter and restrooms within walking distance. There are lakes nearby and a trail. There’s also a soccer field and basketball courts. It is a gravel road though so don’t go if you don’t want your car getting a little dusty.

I had my 6 year old son's birthday party at the twin lakes park and it was awesome, everyone has a great time! The soccer field was perfect, the bathroom were clean and they have a big playground and a walking trail around the lake. 👍

Small playground is great for young ones. The lakes are nice to fish or boat in. Sometimes there are ducks and geese to feed....
If there is a big soccer game, then it gets Really crowded.

I rated this park five because all in all it is a really good park with a playground, nature trails, lakes with ducks and a soccer field, but the only problem is, sometimes the people...like sometimes you will catch grown ups their doing grown things that they shouldnt be doing when their is kids their... the last couple of times i was their, i guess someone was having a birthday party and they were carrying bottles of liquor and i could smell a strong heavy smell of marijuana smoke. They were loud and ghetto, cursing. It was several other kids out here playing that left because of it. Im only 12 & its bad i know the smell of marijuana only because everytime i go to this park i smell it, and my mom had to tell us to leave because she said they were smoking drugs. There needs to be more rangers or someone moneriting this place atleast twice a day...even if its just riding through the park and walk around for a secound. I have even came one time and there were condoms on the ground. So this is being used as a grown up park more then anything. I really wish it wasnt cause i love to go feed the ducks and play on the playground.

Great place for family reunions and get -togethers. Nice area for children to play. Great place to go fishing.

Nice park for a walk. I fished for a couple hours no bites, didn't see so much as a minnow.

Nice park, has 2 lakes for fishing, grills and you can feed the ducks..

Twin Lakes Park is full of fun of all ages from young to old i love this place and i will for sure come here again

It's quiet and Serene. Great spot to take your queen, the kids or the whole family.

I love the Idea that the road is gravel. It is really fun to drive your rc car on

Good place for fishing. Caught some nice bullheads bottom fishing with worms.
