Distinguished Flyers

I highly recommend Distinguished Flyers. I had tried multiple schools in Jax and was bounced from new instructor to new instructor, each time almost having to start at square one. I began to get the feeling these schools were more interested in my $$$ than helping me accomplish my goal to become a private pilot.

Working with Grant was a great experience!! He is patient, knowledgeable and a damn good pilot. With his expertise and the individual attention I received working on the specific skills I needed help with, I was able to pass my check ride on my first attempt!!!

Distinguished Flyers keeps an excellent level of maintenance on their aircraft and only bills you for the true time spent instructing. Whether you starting from day one or need "a finish up" like I did, I highly recommend you call them for a first Flight. I will continue to use Distinguished Flyers for more advance training as my skills as a pilot progress.

Great place to fly or to learn how to fly! I was able to finally finish my PPL with them after 20 years on and off. I owe my license to Distinguished Flyers with all the work, time, and knowlege I gained I was able to pass my PPL first try. Best rates around for aircraft rental and the planes are above average for a flight school.

I received tailwheel instruction and my endorsement with Distinguished Flyers while in town visiting family. I only had a window of 10 days and Grant made sure to schedule adequate time to get it in. His instruction style is clear and concise and he keeps things lighthearted and fun. His passion for aviation shows and I always felt safe during ground and air operations. If you are looking for a flight school this is the one. Grant is beyond professional and his knowledge is second to none. Not only does he train you in what you need to know to pass your FAA exams, but he teaches you real world flying techniques and scenarios.

This real world training is based on his experience as a pilot. His staff is great and you get a way more intimate setting than some big flight school which only cares about cashing your checks.

I would recommend this school to anyone looking to start, restart, or continue their piloting journey.

Distinguished Flyers offers excellent instruction and well maintained aircraft. I had taken a three year break from flying and Grant made me so comfortable during my first flight and he was very knowledgable. It is so fun to fly out of and the community at the airport itself is something truly special.
