Immanuel Baptist Church

Our Baldwin Baptist Association Alabama Chainsaw Team was blessed to be able to stay at Immanuel Baptist while we were helping the wonderful people of Panama City recover from Hurricane Michael December 10-15, 2018.

Great Sunday morning Worship. The church is looking for a new Pastor; two men spoke this past Sunday. We were twice blessed. Hymns were a mix of newer, and traditional. It was a very nice blend. Good pianist.
Since Hurricane Michael the church has cordially and graciously hosted and housed Florida Baptist Disaster Relief teams. Last night about 70 individuals slept dormitory style, some in one of the many individual Sunday School classrooms. Most slept in larger rooms.
The friendly custodian checked each day to make sure we had everything we needed.
Inside, the building is clean, without any evidence of mold, or mildew. Very allergy safe location.
God is at work in this great church!

OMG I didn’t even know they were there but a friend came down right after Hurricane Michael hot from Minnesota and this church put them up. Not only put these ladies from Minnesota up but their parking lot was FULL of worker vehicles, electric, ac, plumbing. Hundreds, awesome job I’m praying for you.

Fine people

This is my family church and it pains me to say so but it has declined quite a bit in the past several years. The lack of any youth programs have caused the membership to be generally older in age and that membership is slowly declining as they pass away. The church has grown slightly since hurricane Michael due to brother and sister churches rejoining due to damage to their locations.
