Wonderland Cafe & Lodge

Great cafe style restaurant just outside Yellowstone. The service was friendly, quick, and respectful. Every item we ordered was perfectly prepared. Such a great find while traveling. We are here twice while in town which is rare for our family while traveling.

We stayed in Gardiner for 3 days and this was easily the best food we had the entire trip. The burger I had was DELICIOUS, and the other two people in my party that got different entrees were both very happy with their food. It definitely gets busy when they open for dinner, but it’s honestly worth the wait. I don’t know if there’s any better food in Gardiner for lunch/dinner. AND it’s very reasonably priced! This was the cheapest and best tasting meal we had while in town! I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Gardiner and will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in the area!

We’ve eaten here twice on our trip. Delicious each time. I love the Caldera burger. My husband had the ravioli and the chicken wings. Yummy cheese curds and deep fried pickles.

Great place! Went for dinner time, we waited about 45min for a table which was totally worth it. This place is perfect; music isn’t too loud, service is great Mandy was our server, the food was amazing (don’t miss out on the jalapeño cornbread). Even though it seems to be constantly busy it is definitely a place to go while in Gardiner.

Great tasting food. The elk chili is amazing, decent sized wings with huckleberry sauce and salad was fresh. Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Very, very busy. If you can get a reservation do it, otherwise may be in for a long wait. Great art on the walls for sale. Decent selection of beers on tap.

We had dinner and it was awesome. From the manager to Jessica our server. Everything was excellent. We had the reminder garlic chicken, bison ravioli, and the fried pickles. Perfect! You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I stayed in Gardiner during our trip to Yellowstone! We ate at the Wonderland Cafe, and highly recommend trying the cheese curds! It was my first time, and I understand the hype! Also, the service was great, and everyone worked well as a team!

Came for dinner! I'm not surprised that we found people waiting outside before it opened at 4:30 for dinner- everything was phenomenal. My husband had the chili and cornbread (delicious), my daughter loved her ravioli, and my Mac and cheese fan was super pleased with his meal. I had the lake trout and polenta and found it to be delicious!

In a town full of burgers, my family really enjoyed this special dinner! Service was excellent.

Ate at Wonderland Cafe. Had the caldera burger and mountain man burger with side of elk chili and well as the Mac and cheese. It was delicious. Would definitely eat here again. Gardiner doesn't have very many options and this was worth it. Portion sixes were great and the burgers were a true medium, almost medium rare (which is perfection)! Service was friendly and quick! P.s they do have a kids menu and the kids thought the chicken tenders and burgers were delicious!

We went here for dinner 4 nights in a row because the food is the best in town! Really nice local but also Mediterranean/vegetarian food options. Coffee is very good as well. Staff is great, and food and drinks are well priced. It is always packed so be prepared to sit at the bar or reserve ahead.

We were in gardiner for 3 full days and we came to this place at least once every day of our stay. The food is delicious, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Wait time to be seated can vary because it gets busy and with very good reason. We had burgers, scones, coffee, chili, and the trout during our experiences here and the food was exceptional. Definitely recommended!!

Gardiner redeemed. Awesome burger, tasty chili and perfect flatbread. Good service, I know this place gets busy but we were seated pretty quick.
No desert menu if there’s anything against them but I didn’t mind.

I stayed in town for a couple of days for a conference in Yellowstone. This was one of the few places open for lunch/dinner. I ate there twice and had great meals both times. The atmosphere is nice, relaxed and comfortable. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable and portions were substantial. I didn’t stay in the hotel but I wish I had.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal after a long day touring Yellowstone. The Elk Chili Mac was excellent, as was my wife’s hamburger and both of our green salads. Jess was a great server!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Yellowstone. Thought the prices, quality of food, and service were great. Clean bathrooms too!

Stopped in to try the bakery, coffee and beer. Delicious scones - Huckleberry and Double Chocolate, nice and moist! I had a very good caramel macchiato. Mike tried a flight of beer - the Knotty Lotty stout was a winner - he brought a growler home!! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, right downtown Gardiner. Worth a stop!

Visited after a very long day in Yellowstone National Park. Got water and a beer. Server was very nice and I enjoyed a cold beer 🍺 before hitting the road again!

This review is for the Cafe. We came in right before they were closing and the staff was kind enough to serve us. The elk chili mac & cheese is fantastic. Definitely the best meal I had in Gardiner! Highly recommend stopping by.

Outdoor seating accommodated our large group. Service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. I have celiac so I appreciate that the server was very knowledgeable and I had many options to choose from. The jalapeño cornbread was amazing!!

My husband & I stopped tonight at this restaurant after spending the day at Yellowstone Park.
My husband is celiac and we hadn't eaten since 6:00 am and we were starved. What a welcome sight to see gluten-free choices on the menu when we walked in. Our meals were delicious. Thank you for giving us the fuel needed to drive home four hours.
