Stone Mountain Lodge

Our wedding day was nothing short of magic. Ashley and her team host a ton of weddings and it shows. They were dialed-in and there was no stress or bustling about. The venue, on first glance, seems humble, but when everything was pulled together it was such a stunning setting. I was worried about the noise from the road when I first saw the space, but I can assure you it wasn’t noticed at all on wedding day. The rooms are simple but serve the purpose of having your guests stay onsite and the cabins were really sweet and fun for the wedding party. The best part was getting to ride up the mountain side in an ATV and take pictures at the top of the mountain. It was STUNNING. Everything from the ceremony site, the cocktail hour and the reception area just worked perfectly. We loved the flow of it. We loved the pond and getting married right by the mountain side. Ashley was really sweet to work with and just a nice human being overall. Stone Mountain is the right place for a couple who doesn’t care about the flashiness of some other more expensive venues, but knows that they can create a stunning wedding using the beauty of the surroundings. If you’re a Colorado bride at heart, then this venue is going to be a great fit — outdoors, a little funky, with so much heart. Perfect for us.

The newly remodeled rooms are quite pleasant. Smart TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and even a push button toilet! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay, close to town. Highly recommended!

The rooms are fully furnished with dishes, utensils, and even dishwashing soap. I love this place. I’m here for work, but, I want to come back for vacation. It’s very peaceful. The WI-FI is perfect for my service. I have Spectrum. I’m doing this review on the WI-FI and listening to Pandora. This is a gorgeous and homey atmosphere.

Ashley and the team at Stone Mountain Lodge were fantastic to work with for our wedding. We had an October wedding and the venue was beautiful in the fall colors. And we loved being able to have some of the guests stay at the venue (we also provided a shuttle back to Boulder for the remainder of our guests).

The communication was fantastic so we knew exactly what to expect and how to prepare for the wedding. Would highly recommend going to check out the Stone Mountain Lodge and working with Ashley for your wedding or event.

We had our wedding here and loved the venue! Ashley was great to work with and it was convenient having our wedding party stay in the cabins/rooms on site after the wedding. The entire wedding space is gorgeous - from the ceremony space, to the gardens, to the tent - and the duck pond was a huge hit with the kids. Highly recommend them as a venue!

We stayed in a lodge room which was very much a motel-style accommodation. If you go in with that mindset, you’ll find that the space is actually quite nicely appointed, just with no frills. The bed and bedding were quite comfortable, the room was updated, and the shower had good pressure. Definitely a great value (especially versus the more expensive hotels in the area)!

We had our wedding here earlier this month and this venue was just perfect for us! All of our guests loved how it was set up and how beautiful it was! Ashley was very helpful and this truly is a wonderful place to get married!

We had our wedding here in July of 2021, and it was a beautiful day. Ashley worked with us through the pandemic and helped us shift all of our original plans at no extra cost. The venue's scenery is breathtaking, from the adorable duck pond to the colorful garden to the stunnung red cliffs above the ceremony site. We had a nature-filled, joyful day that was exactly the mountain experience we wanted without our guests having to drive too far away from the Denver area.

Our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge was truly perfect. The venue coordinator, Ashley was such a pleasure to work with. She was flexible and very communicative throughout the process. When we met to decide on the layout and linen colors she saw my vision perfectly. The day of set up was very smooth. The tables and linens looked perfect, and Ashley was very calm and helpful. Overall the venue was just gorgeous. We were concerned about road noise but from the tent/reception area with the band playing we couldn't hear a thing. I also loved the bridal tent. So nice to have fresh air and natural light while getting ready. Almost all of our guests stayed at the Lodge and everyone really enjoyed it. Yes, it is more of a rustic accommodation but I was perfectly happy with that. My husband and I are big outdoors people and our ceremony was in RMNP so it really fit the whole vibe perfectly. All of the rooms were clean and I think my out of state family enjoyed a little taste of the mountains. To me the venue was perfect. Thank you Stone Mountain Team for a perfect wedding day!

⚠ HIDDEN GEM ALERT ⚠ Cabin #18 is Dog Friendly with a little fenced in private yard. It's PERFECT for FurBabies!! You get the entire cabin with a Shower/Tub, Full Fridge, Super Soft Queen Bed (maybe bigger), full stove, little coffee maker. It's adorable! The views are good, you can see mountains all around you. The pool is clean for it being in the forest! This is a great Wedding Venue! You're close to the city AND the mountains. The road to get here from town is easily accessible. If you go west you're RIGHT in the mountains. The Staff that was present were friendly and helpful! We really felt like we got a private romantic trip for our Anniversary here. The rates are AMAZING! We spent $166 for the night when most hotels in the area are almost $200. There is a $35 per pet fee that isn't explained to you on AirBnB so please be prepared ♡

Love this place. If you want a great room, go to the Ritz. If you want to be close to a quaint little town with a very cool venue then stay here.

When looking for our perfect venue for our wedding, we wanted something that really spoke to both my husband and I. I was looking for romantic, natural, and something that gave that Colorado mountain feel. My husband wanted a rustic mountain man feel. Stone Mountain lodge fits all of that perfectly! Ashley was amazing at keeping the day calm and making sure that she really hit everything perfectly to make our day exactly how we had envisioned it. The communication leading up to the day was great and any questions or issues we had were answered immediately. I recommend everyone checks them out! You won’t be disappointed!

We recently rented out all of the units and cabins at Stone Mtn. Lodge for the week of our wedding that was held down the road at Planet Bluegrass. The stone mtn. staff were more than accommodating and helped us pass out our welcome bags for our wedding guests. Everyone enjoyed the rooms and the cabins accommodated us perfectly. It is clear that a lot of attention has been put back into this rustic mountain lodge and we would say it has paid off and become a great little spot to stay up in the mountains while maintaining being close to Lyons, Estes Park, Boulder, and Longmont. Thank you to the Stone Mtn. team for making this such a special week with family and friends.

Jennifer from housekeeping was amazing. She always made sure to ask if we needed anything for our room and went out of her way to accommodate our needs.
Grounds were kept well and clean.
We loved that the lodge is pet friendly. There was a doggie area with poop bags available for guests. We loved taking short walks with the dogs on the grounds.
Very friendly staff overall. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

I got married here in early October 2019. The ceremony and reception areas are beautiful. The coordinator, Ashley, was on top of her game and very thoughtful. She did a wonderful job anticipating our needs and making suggestions for things that I wouldn't have thought of myself but made the day run so smoothly (such as going straight to the bridal tent after the ceremony to have a private moment and sign the certificate before getting swamped by well-wishers). The staff were friendly and super efficient, and the lawn games were an awesome touch! My husband and I, as well as many of our family and friends, stayed overnight. You can tell that the buildings are older and most of the cabin bathrooms are teeny-tiny, but they are nicely maintained and the owners have been steadily working on renovating rooms. I definitely recommend SML.

I photographed a wedding here back in October 2021. The staff was friendly and helpful and took me up to the most beautiful spot for portraits. I loved the ducks wandering around. Super cool place.

A few years ago we speant the night here after our wedding in Lyons, CO. We had stayed in the hotel section and had a wonderful time. There were no issues with our late check in and the room was wonderful and very clean. We were very excited when a cabin became available this year and are staying here for some time with our children. The staff is amazing - so much so that my children are excited when they have to opportunity to say hello to any of the staff. Yet once again, my husband and I feel privileged to stay here. The cabin is gorgeous and even in the winter time the grounds are beautiful. Thank You Stone Mountain Lodge for making us feel at home and like family.

Our wedding day turned out absolutely incredible and Stone Mountain Lodge was the perfect choice for our laid-back style. The details and different spaces at the venue have so much character and gave our guests some options on how they wanted to spend their time (playing games by the bar, dancing in the tent, feeding ducks at the pond, hanging out at tables outside the tent under tree cover and lights, etc.)

Working with the Stone Mountain team was easy and they were all very helpful. I appreciated how they embraced our not-so traditional ideas for the wedding and helped us put them into action. The preferred vendors we went with were incredible - particularly Kathryn Kim Photography and The Butcher and The Blonde food truck.

The accommodations are fairly modest, but some of the cabins are just adorable. Many of our friends chose to stay at the venue and enjoyed it.

I think this is a perfect spot for laid back couples.

I loved our cabin! Great use of space and lots of character. Our cabin was clean, stocked, comfortable. Chris was helpful and the instructions were clear. We hiked on the property too.
