This Loveland Restaurant has stood up to the charging time's. All the growth and it still is a treasure!
It's a well known Loveland Restaurant. Been here a Long Time.
Excellent steaks, (no need for A1). Baked potato was cooked to perfection.
The chef's know how to prepare food to perfection and presentation.
Our waitress, Naomi was super delightful and attentive!

Nice atmosphere in this place! The food was good! The specialty peppered steak was good but a little tough for a $26 piece of steak. Not sure what cut it is, I’m thinking a tri-tip or very close to tri-tip cut. Bake potato was not a steak house size, small but it works! Would definitely go back but try something different. The tuna and fish’n chips were good.

Just had a wonderful birthday dinner at The Black Steer! My bacon-wrapped filet mignon was cooked perfectly and my son really enjoyed his spaghetti. Sides were also very good and we really liked the Italian Lemon Cake we ordered for my bday dessert. Great atmosphere! It feels very cozy, but still upscale. Definitely recommend!

What a great find! This old school steakhouse has been around forever! The menu has so many options. Everything we had was just delicious! Bartender wasn’t the friendliest but she got the job done.

Love this place! My Dad even remembers going as a kid! We were able to get a table right away while other places downtown had an hour wait with empty tables!?
The citrus salmon is splendid! Great menu choices & service every time!

The Best Steakhouse in Loveland. We loved our family visit to The Black Steer. Very friendly welcome. Lovely setting and the menu choice was wide and varied. The Pepper Steak was a signature dish and I enjoyed it immensely. Our server Naomi was exceptional. Very efficient and very friendly indeed. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was absolutely beautiful and I’m quite sure we will be back again. Highly recommended indeed. Five Stars even!

We went there for our 30th anniversary. It was awesome! Steaks were perfect! The salads were fresh, and we got a piece of complimentary pie. It was homemade and very tasty 😋. The service was great also, and our server was very nice and friendly.

It was perfect for our group gathering, western decor and steak that was good.

Someone’s order wasn’t quite to their liking in our party and the wait staff did an amazing job with different choices to make sure it became a win win. They treated us well and the redone steak was perfect for our friend.

Had the pepper steak for lunch and it was delicious. Wonderful Ambience with eclectic art and cozy setting. The service and food was overall wonderful. I can tell why this place has such a legendary reputation.

Great ribeye. French onion soup one of the best I have ever had. Not to salty and the broth is so delicious.

Upon first entering, you are encountered with two chairs with signs on the seat that read “for display only”. In my opinion, having a display only sign on a seat ruins the display value of the seat.
The place for being so immensely large few people were there. If this place were even at half capacity, the very limited staff may suffer from stroke. From what I’ve seen there is only one waiter waiting on all four tables. It felt as if I was existing in the location of a Ghostbusters outtake. The three working fans were somehow at drastically different speeds. Not to mention the fact the light bulbs are one what mismatched. The fireplace, practically begging for a large fire was merely supplied with a small flame. From a dark corner bar, constantly emerged that if some jazzy music. After a while the music stopped and we had to sit in uncomfortable silence.
For the six of us, there were only 3 quite used menus. The people who own the place had to deface their own menus in pen with new prices for some of the items. 4 dollars for a Coke, even in this economy is ridicules. Ordering food was quite the ordeal. The person who waited on us may of had hearing issues. She almost mistook a rum and coke for a “lemon coke”. The bathroom is reminiscent of a subway station mixed with what I’d imagine would be some sort of strange disco. The facet is atrocious. I’m not a salad person, but a bite of the stuff with their signature garlic dressing is delicious. One of my acquaintances got a “death stare” for asking and having held onto the garlic dressing after the salad. I had heard they had bread but was very disappointed when I heard they didn’t. A place like this should certainly have bread. After an hour our entrees arrived. One good thing with the service was the very kindly gave me my requested fries after learning they had gave me the baked potato by mistake. The others who ate with me had steaks, burger, or chicken stripes. The chicken was fine, the burger (from the kids meal) was surprisingly huge. I got the barbecue ribs and they were immaculate. The meat fell right off the bone and the sauce was so good. If you like garlic get the fries and keep the garlic dressing. It makes a great dip. Overall while I did poke fun a little it is good place for the food. Atmosphere is still iffy.

It was excellent! Food was great! Service was awesome! I love the atmosphere, it's stepping back in time. People complain about the rice chex, they have been doing that for year's, its fun and gluten free for the folks that can't eat bread. The burgers are huge.

Small restaurant with amazing food, quality service, very friendly staff, and they actually pay attention to their tables/visitors.

We're from Minnesota and had a huge party of 20+ celebrating a wedding. The staff were wonderful to say the least and the food was amazing

Stopped in for lunch and it was great. My son had the steak kabobs and I had the steak sandwich. Bother were excellent. I loved the inside of the restaurant. The one fella working was super friendly and answered all the questions we asked. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

I enjoy coming here for dinner and other meals. So I reached out to the staff if I could rent a table to honer are fallen soldiers they were honored to help me out and set up the table. My hubs took me there tonight for the first time for our 12 year anniversary and I was extremely pleased and impressed with our waiters and hostesses. definatley will be back! It was delicious!🤗
