My husband and I visited this church today. The building is large, new and modern within. Congregation was about 150-200. Not a mega church despite the building size. The people were friendly, warm, relaxed and welcoming. No cliches noted. The environment was casual the pastor wore jeans. They had the standard 3 worship songs with a band and a lead singer - couldn't hear the other vocalists but the sound was good. The sermon was long and boring about a basic Christian principle that Jesus is the way...taught line by line from John 5. Pastor Joe could use to adapt a more engaging teaching style. The only application statement was choose Christ. It makes me wonder if this church is a newly planted church where their members need the basics about the Bible. They did have communion but we didn't have the elements as we weren't instructed as to where get them upon arrival. Later found them in baskets around the church exterior. Notably there was no gluten free option found. The announcement portion was not understandable to a visitor. They discussed something we had no idea about. There was no welcome statement to visitors - that could be improved on. A few tweaks would be helpful to grow this church and be more visitor friendly. Their hearts seem to be in the right place.

It's like a big family; lots of love, lots of help, lots of learning. The preacher and his wife and many others on the staff really know and love those who attend. Mark teaches using heartfelt sermons woven around God's word. He doesn't pretend he's got it all together himself; he sometimes lets us learn from what he sees as his weaknesses. My husband and I wish our children hadn't been grown when we found this church family, because the Sunday School, Bible Bowl, and Wednesday night programs are excellent for kids from birth through college age.

The strength you need in your next season is in the thing God wants to speak to you now at Dayspring Christian Church where The word of God is taught literally. Not only through sermons but by the actions of its leadership team and those within the body of Christ! This church doesn’t preach or teach that “prosperity gospel” garbage that places an unbiblical obligation on God to meet your lustful desire to get rich quick by planting a seed of money in the offering plate. Instead it declares the good news with great joy so that you can experience “on earth as it is in heaven” what it’s like to really be a child of the ONLY living God and learn how to develop a servant attitude!

PS... If you SIN checkout Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights @ 6:30 and learn how to stop practicing those habits, getting hurt and give up your hang ups!

Very law orientated . Cliquey and judgement. Need to look at own sins rather than pointing fingers at others. Felt like i was an outsider rather than being included in their

I ended up homeless due to landlord selling and I had a friend who went her, she gathered up a LOVE offering and I received 283.00 a week later , as I was paying daily for rooms, When my truck cost me almost 1400.00 and was my only shelter, ( I was working ) they told me, that although my physical needs were not being met, I need to know Jesus. I ended up walking away , because I was told I was an outsider, now I see others have had the same experience. I also have called and left messages that went unanswered. I started attending this church and the body of believers are dead, the do not worship, they listen and follow the pastors and Not Jesus Christ. I was told I sounded scripted. Well as the story unfolded I was approved for housing , and finally after a long 7 year battle to get surgery, I had my surgery, on 10.24.2022. They tried to set up a meal train, Well, Today , is the 9th of November. I have had 4 different meals, and all of them were a disaster, Lack of communication, UNCOOKED food. Then I am basically told to be grateful for what they did. Excuse me, Jesus was led to the mountain top, and refused this world and all it had to offer. The meals were late, that is okay things happen, Yesterday, I had to drive to SS office and Human resources and I was so looking forward to a cooked meal. I pulled in and this women had my door open, looking inside, with animals inside, she had the door open for awhile, I yelled from the street close that door, She did, It was a hamburger potatoes and cheese pan. Looked amazing, she said I would need to heat it up, I went to scoop it and the meat was raw, in strips, like uncooked, the tots were cooked, and the pan weighed allot I was alone, there was nothing I could do with this meal, I threw it away because the beef was on all the cooked food, causing contamination, as the story goes on, My son mentioned this to a pastor and he said , well everyone is busy and you should be grateful for what they did do. LOL... They did not take a burden off of me, but created more pain, and hurt. I am not inside, they cater to the inside, They meet 4 times or more a week and feed there bellies, when people are dying to be loved , feed and housed, This church is a wealthy country club, they cook meals for groups all the time, and they do nothing to serve the man or women they just passed on the street. I am broken and hurt that not once but many times this church did not respond in the gospel. I am perplexed, Not one person, called me, not one person asked if I needed anything, and not one person, prepared a home cooked meal , like you would think after surgery, I also had a raw pizza delivered, No warning to start oven, I was hungry every time and the stress this caused including waste of resources, poor stewardship for sure bottom line not sharing the love of Christ, they do not know hardship, and if they do they have others to help, I have no one, and I denied, I drove there on empty, with a dog in 100 degree weather and was told to get rid of my service dog. That alone tells me they do not get it. For those of you who need , this is not the place for help, They will Judge you, not believe you and then basically just care less about what you have to saw, They also are very political and rude to one side with comments that cause pain. They are a bunch of great people who are conformed to the world. I will pass. I have never been apologized to and well , be careful, its not about the now, its about eternity, they too shall answer
