It takes a lot to impress me, so I don't pen many reviews like this. Nevertheless, when I witness someone going the extra mile, I make it a habit of letting as many people know as practical . Sometimes in life, we are fortunate to meet truly inspiring people; people that genuinely care and want to make a positive difference. Moreover, these inspirational people faithfully live by the Golden Rule; “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” These difference makers live with purpose, passion, and by design, to faithfully influence people’s lives. I suggest that John Greco and his incredible team are some of these rare individuals. I could make this a long review detailing the many things that John and his employees did for my family (buried my mother and father) to impress me, but I will make this a relatively short kudos dispatch by saying that I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with John Greco's pricing and remarkable service. There is a reason this company has been in business for over 100 years (all owned by the same family). They are unquestionable the best in what they do. John and his caring team epitomize what Napoleon Hill said many years ago, “When you truly believe that the habit of going the extra mile is the only acceptable way to conduct yourself in your dealings with others when you are driven by a burning desire to serve your fellow man, you will be rewarded both financially and professionally.” I put forth that people like John and is staff are not the best because they work hard. They work hard because they are the best. Thank you John and team for a job well down.

I recently had to use their services. I called 8 different funeral homes. Greco-Hertnick was by far the best value for the money. They were caring, compassionate and went well over and above what was expected. John was also extremely knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics related to my father's passing. He was able to make helpful suggestions I hadn't thought of and helped me find a free burial plot since my father had been in the military. He even called me after the memorial service to ask how things went. I would give 10 stars if possible.

In lieu of flowers, we wanted to display my husband's paintings at his visitation. We wanted people to know what made him tick - it was art. Greco's welcomed the paintings, even removing some of their paintings and hanging his paintings. The reaction by mourners was overwhelmingly in favor of the paintings. It was a tribute to my husband. After all, we were there to celebrate his life.

I'm not sure how many other funeral homes would have embraced my request.

The staff at Greco's, especially Anthony, went over and above to make a sad situation a celebration of life. I could not have asked for more kindness from any funeral home.
