Great place to camp and get away for the weekend. It's mainly for equestrian use so the sites are bigger than usual, and they do charge $17.00 a night, but I've been out with just a tent or my teardrop camper and had a great time. I've not been there during peak season so I cannot comment on how busy it is during that time, but mid-to-late fall there's always quite a few sites open. And with over 70 to choose from, you are sure to find a spot that's nice and secluded, with plenty of "buffer" between you and the closest occupied site.

Spent 4 nights here and will definitely be back! The vault toilets were the least buggies I've ever seen and the water pumps work! Great spot in mid-western Michigan.

We have camped here for years, it's rustic , lots of marked out trails to ride, and a good family place to camp. Outhouses only and you pump water, my kids grew up camping here and think it's the only way to camp

Love the rustic nature and trails. Great for horseback riding since the drives aren't paved they're safer and the trails are well worn through beautiful country. The human foot trail is beautiful and not too long. Good sturdy hitching posts at the horseman's sites. Day parking is fairly spacious and right by the main trailhead.

Lots of trails. Can be very busy with people just driving through. I horseback ride the trails and camp here.

I’m a local trail rider 25 min from home, super close, always well maintained horse trails, love the views and all the trails! Favorite spot to camp and trail ride multiple times a year! Trails are sandy, some spots can ride side by side but mostly single riding, some hills but nothing difficult at all, I’m a Gaited rider and we love the long stretches of two tracks to gait! Hitting the creek is a must after every ride and get that photo in the creek. Definitely a spot to go to if your a trail rider!

Very nice peaceful rustic campground. Campsites are nicely spaced out to add to the peace and quiet. Very excellent for a tent camping experience. We go camping there quite often

Love it there. Lots of horses, an ppl. Lots ate bigger, an very clean lots. The bathroom could of been taken care of a little better, but all good.
Lovecthe horses, sn glad they are around, bit the bad thing is that some just clean up after there horses, an you really don't want to walk in it or slip. But will ho back. Enjoyed it very much.

Wow, this place was AMAZING! Conveniently placed bathrooms throughout the camp. The ranger and maintenance were very nice and did a terrific job keeping the place clean. When the people came with 11 huskies to camp, they were loud for quite awhile before they were refunded the $17 and asked to leave. Thank you for a great 4 nights!

Beautiful park set up specifically for horseback riding. Many trails. Quiet. Great for overnight or day trips. Camp sites are large to accommodate campers and horses.
Price was good.
Vault toilets were kept clean and had plenty of tissue paper.

Coming here every October has become a birthday weekend treat. I've camped in several sites now and I've been pleased with them all. I have a smaller rig, just a simple truck and bumper pull trailer and I can easily maneuver into all the sites. I love the hi tie posts and my horse and I love the variety of trails we have access to.

This campground is a good place to camp. We don't have horses and this is set up for both equestrian and regular campers. Really enjoyed see all the horses riding through. Was very nice and quiet there.

Rustic campground. Great for a quick getaway. It is an equestrian campground, but regular campers are welcome. There is a creek that runs through the park. The water is shallow but it is ( take your breath away) cold all year round! Not to far from Hamilton, so groceries and supplies are a short drive away. Though the park makes you feel like your hundreds of miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I love camping and riding at this park. There are so many trails and the camp sites were neat and clean. The vault toilets were clean and there were zero spiders in there to creep me out at night!
