avid hotel Madison - Huntsville West, an IHG Hotel

This is a very up-to-date, modern hotel that offers beautiful rooms with spacious bathrooms and outstanding service! The staff was super friendly and helpful as well! I will not be staying anywhere else other than Avid in Madison, AL! LaShana Henderson was very helpful and the gentleman that i spoke with at the front counter when i checked out (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, but anyone who meets him will know exactly who I'm speaking about) was extremely courteous and a ray of sunshine before dawn.

After looking around and checking reviews I booked 3 rooms for a trip to New Orleans. Staff was friendly at check in and check out. Rooms were clean and no bugs. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

The rooms are newer with modern amenities, however they are smaller than some other hotels. Free breakfast with some hot options, there is a laundry machine that isn't mentioned on their website. Service is great, they are quick to respond and very courteous. The location is next to a gas station which seems to have a certain group of customers that like to come and rev their cars in the evening, it has happened 8 out of the 10 nights I have been here. Also there are train tracks nearby, which cross over a street, and every night there has been a train crossing and you hear the horn. Still nice new hotel, just wish the car club wasn't mustering at the gas station every night, and a break from the train horn in the evening would be good.

A little far from restaurants but a very nice and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. Fully stocked with soap and shampoo. The windows have shades to keep the light completely out at night. Very quiet area. Convenient store and coffee place in walking distance. Great price! I will stay here again.

First time at this hotel. I normally stay elsewhere when I am in the Huntsville area. The room I stayed in was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was remarkably comfortable as were the pillows. The TV was large, clear, and bright with plenty of channels to choose from. The towels were soft but, can't say that about the toilet paper. The shower was hot when I took it however, the water pressure was lacking a little bit. The staff I interacted with was great.
One of the biggest issues I had was with noise from the trains and gas station next door.

Y’all!! Stay here!! We stayed in a kind bedroom and it was really nice. Customer service was amazing and nice. Our smoke detector went off because I was steaming a dress and they were very nice about it and we fixed the issue. The hotel is very modern which I liked a lot. The coolest part was that I was able to connect my phone to the tv and listen to music or watch anything from my phone on the tv. Definitely would stay here again! Also, the blinds block all the light so we slept very well.

An excellent hotel for a specific type of traveler. This hotel is perfect for a business traveler in town for a day or two. The room was on the smaller side, but designed to maximize the space efficiently. The shower was nice -- plenty of water pressure. Everything used current technology -- there was TV or you could cast your own content and there were PLENTY of USB outlets for charging all your devices.

There were basic food and beverages in the lobby, which was clean and bright. And if they did not have something, you are right next door to a convenience market with great coffee and LOTS of options.

Would not recommend for a family or a traveler that will be staying for long periods of time, due to the size of the room.

Very nice hotel from walking in the place. Got some stuff I wanna buy tomorrow. Looking forward to a very good breakfast. Love how I got welcomed here best ever by a 60inch TV!! Too bad I am only here for a day. Said there was a restaurant and bar here but didn't see it you should take that off that is false advertising. The shower was huge and like The big shower heads as well. Lady at front desk was nice.

Family reunion trip! 3rd or 4th year staying there! Anthony at the front was great and so was the manager Tasha! Our room was great and they were always very pleasant. Will be back!

The management and staff were so friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet and the bed....oh my goodness it was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. This hotel is great!

We had a great stay !! The rooms where clean the staff was wonderful and omg!!!! The bed was so awesome I wanted to bring it home with me ... I will definitely be staying again !!! Mini breakfast and coffee

Overall good stay. Nit picking: 1 ice machine located in lobby ( no towel runs to machine), microwave in lobby (no eating leftovers in middle of night), mini-mini fridge, the divided room door does lock, BUT BUT you can see clearly under the door and see the carpet, shoes, hair-tie, etc. thats on the neighbors floor. (Creepy)

Nice and new hotel. Great staff, they were very nice and accommodating. Free on the go breakfast from 6am-9:30am. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and sparkling/ water available 24/7. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family members

Great stay!
We only stayed for the weekend of the 4th of July; we had a wonderful time. I would say this is perfect for short stays (1-3 days) for single person or childless couples. Though there is a pool, I would not suggest planning your family's (or your) vacation around the stay at this hotel. This is geared more toward the traveler market who need a clean place to stay with the basic amenities at a reasonable price. Be aware that this hotel aims to save water and energy, so unless you SPECIFICALLY REQUEST your room to be cleaned via the door hanger, it will not be. This was great for us as we didn't need our room cleaned, but we did notice another guest complain about this while checking-in.
There is free coffee, hot water (for tea, etc.), and a free carbonated water machine. Breakfast is free as well and includes a good spread. You will not be getting hot eggs and sausage, etc., BUT you will have a nice selection of cereal, microwaveable sandwiches, bagels, and granola bars.

Our specific stay was great. All the staff were friendly and the hotel as a whole was clean. I do have two negative points which I will state at the end. I will say that our stay was made 200% more enjoyable by Kevin (manager?). He is crazy knowledgeable about the area and gave some great advice on things to see and do and eat in our short time there.
Be advised that Huntsville is fairly spread-out. The major tourist stuff (Rocket Center, Toyota Field, and Madison proper, ) is an easy drive, but the east-side of Huntsville (Monte Sano, Mount Green, Burritt Overlook) is a small drive.

Two Knocks:
Our toilet seat was askew. Not loose, but it was like-put on askew so that one had to sit crooked.
The hotel has two sides, the side facing the gas-station can be a bit noisy depending on the sensitivity of your ears. My girlfriend had no issues, but I had some moments where the sound bothered me.

Staff and rooms were great, our only complaint was the guests with children above us on floor 4. Running around late late night & early morning. We got no sleep, no we didn't call front desk, but should have

Staff super friendly, rooms clean. Tiled floors in rooms so no smelly carpet. Bed linen is white so it's obvious if there are stains. They were brilliant white! Definitely recommend.

I truly appreciate the 5 star treatment my family experienced staying at this Hotel. Victoria went above and beyond for me and my family.. She provided us a comfortable stay by allowing us to park our 18 wheeler truck on the property. She provided conceige services by giving us great dinning recommendations and tours. We truly experienced Southern
Hospitality.

My brother and I stayed at Avid hotel in Madison Alabama when my great grandson passed away. Check in was a breeze. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Thank Avid in Madison for providing a pleasant place for us to stay.

Great hotel. They have sparkling water on tap in the lobby!
Breakfast is enough for a small snack.
