Tiger Rock Martial Arts Madison

Mr. Knighten and his team are the best Martial Arts instructors we have had. The schedule is very flexible especially if you have other kids/sports activities you can choose which days/times to attend. We have been going since 2022 and my son loves it. Mr. Knighten and his team focus on building the core skills with Tiger Rock Martial Arts in spending one week focusing on FORMs, one week focusing on BOARDS, one week focusing on KICKS and so on. The instructors are great, fun and knowledgeable about their craft and will take the time to show your kids how to do something. They are always encouraging and willing to stop what they are doing to give a pep talk to you kids (and parents) when you're having a moment before a competition. Mr. Knighten and his team are like family, and they always make you feel welcome and accepted.

This place is amazing! I have been going for eight years and it has been awesome for all of them. The instructor team is great and the classes are a great workout and very engaging for all ages and skill levels. They have taken me from white to black belt and even further!

You will not find a better more caring program than Tiger Rock Madison. The instructors are knowledgeable and want their students to succeed in all areas of life. My boys have gained so much confidence after enrolling in their organization. The instructors love what they do and it shows by how well their program is ran and how well their students perform.

Absolutely love this place and love the staff! They do a phenomenal job connecting with kids, teaching taekwondo, and helping students progress through belt levels while bettering their skills. I have a son (11yrs old) and two daughters (4yrs and 8yrs old), and they all love it.
After 4 months of training with Tiger Rock, my 4yr took a break from taekwondo to try dance and we instantly began getting compliments on how focused she was during dance and how she listened to the instructor better than any of the other students. We credit that to Tiger Rock and the discipline and focus they helped build in her.
I can't say enough about this location and the instructors. They are fantastic, and I encourage anyone who is thinking about it or give them a try.

The atmosphere is wonderful for the whole family. The instructors are great with the kids. The schedules are super flexible for a busy lifestyle. I'm glad to have joined the Tiger Rock family.

We love Tiger Rock Martial Arts and their instructors. Our family was returning from South Korea where our 7 year old son studied Tae Kwon Do. We had a hard time finding a program for him that supported his growth and needs. After touring Tiger Rock and meeting Chris we decided to give their free promotion a try. We loved the interaction between the instructors and our son. Our son loved the mixed martial arts style. After being in a structured Tae Kwon Do discipline it was just what he needed to further his growth. Chris, the Petra's, and other instructors take their time to teach multiple disciplines that are great for building confidence, discipline and strength. They go out of their way to get to know the kids one on one and show great patience. Their system is progressive and gives the kids time to develop their skills at their own pace. They also have a military and multi family discount which makes the program affordable. Our family loves Tiger Rock!

The crew at Tiger Rock in Madison are exceptional. We were trying to find some activity for our son to keep him active. He was not drawn to soccer, baseball, etc....So, we tried here. He LOVES going here and has become more coordinated in the process. The instructors here are wonderful. They are patient and kind, yet firm with the kids and teach them life skills such as respect, manners and self-confidence. Even the younger instructors are incredible (shout out to Tyler). I highly recommend TR!.

TRMA of Madison is filled with amazing instructors. They are incrediby patient and supportive, always providing the right amount of constructive feedback and encouragement. My kids throughtly enjoy being apart of the Tiger Rock community

The instructors are great with the kids. Best part about it you can go almost any day of the week so really caters to busy schedules and kids who have multiple sports.

Very patient, caring, and understanding staff. My nephew and grandchildren adore everyone that works here, and enjoy their fellow peers. I highly recommend this facility because they invest their time in helping your child grow and develop, not only martial arts skills, but some life skills as well.

My kids love it, it's done a lot for my oldest sons confidence, the instructors are awesome and it's time away from videogames!

Update: the kids are now 15 and 10 and Mom has joined. A great workout with other parents and a supportive environment. Our 7 year old daughter loves Tiger Rock in Madison. We initally started Tiger Rock in Hoover, AL. and they were great. When we moved to Madison we were not sure we would continue with Tiger Rock. We did shop around but we felt the continuity of what we had started and the value of what we get for our money could not be beat. She has learned life skills and has confidence and coordination and we look forward to many more years of learning at Tiger Rock. Mr. Knighten and his team are fantastic :-)

Tiger Rock Martial Arts Madison is an exceptional martial arts academy! We have been with them for almost 3 years, and my son loves it! It is a great workout, teaches excellent self-defense, teaches leadership, and boosts self-confidence. All the instructors are top notch and great teachers. The entire Tiger Rock Martial Arts program has been awesome! Highly recommend!

The staff members here are amazing…always encouraging while pushing students to do their best. My boys have learned so much and had fun doing it.

Our family has enjoyed attending TRMA in Madison for several years. We were initially attracted to Tiger Rock for several reasons - no long term contracts, belt ranks can be transferred to any other Tiger Rock location in the US, convenient location, reasonable pricing, and talented instructor team. The instructor team balances martial arts discipline with compassion and age appropriate growth mindset principles. The staff keeps the studio clean and stocked with up to date training equipment. You won’t find duct taped punching bags or a smelly studio here. The instructor to student ratio is very good and the instructor team is well versed in teaching children with ADHD. We’ve recommended Tiger Rock Madison to several of our friends and neighbors who are also now part of the program.

We have been with this Tiger Rock for over three years now, and have three kids enrolled. You will not find a more professional, caring group, and the facility is nicely located as well. Not only have my children learned karate skills, better agility, and have gotten a ton of excercise, we have also seen growth in maturity, responsibility, confidence, ability to focus, and respect. On top of all this, the schedule is super flexible, allowing one to pick which times work for the family any given week. This has allowed us to easily stick with the program, even when life gets crazy. I encourage anyone even mildly interested to contact them and see about attending an intro class. We are so thankful that we did.

I've been in and around martial arts for 20 years. Tiger Rock Madison is one of the best and most well rounded organizations I've been a part of. I joined about 3 years ago, after shopping around Madison. The enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, and drive for achievement are hands down the best!
