Preferred Flooring & Tile

We have done 3 tile projects and about to do a 4th working with Pat. She is amazing and has helped us think outside the box with some of her suggestions that look wonderful in our bathrooms! Highly recommend them!!

I wanted to share my great experience with Preferred Flooring that did an amazing job installing Luxury Vinyl planks in our basement. The install team was very detailed in prepping the floor that involved lot of steps including moving the furniture and appliances, removing carpet/linoleum, leveling off uneven areas, sealing the concrete with a moisture barrier and finally installing the planks. Surprisingly they did it in 2 days. The sales team was very patient and the prices were very reasonable for the material and labor. Overall, we are very impressed with the end results and will use them again on another upgrade project.

Great customer service and good, helpful people just because! I just walked in hoping to find and buy a few pieces of matching wood floor for a small rotting section in my dining room. No one sells a few pieces so you'd have to buy the entire bunch! They don't either, but the owner just gave me 8 or so pieces they had lying in the back free of charge! I just want people to know this place is run by good folks.

I cannot recommend Scott and his team at Preferred highly enough! They replaced all the hardwoods in our home (including sanding and staining the stair risers to match), and added LVP and tile in our basement. The work is exceptional, their prices are reasonable and their friendliness and customer focus can't be beat. I visited several local flooring companies before Preferred, including the ones "everyone" uses and none of them came close to making me feel as welcome and valued as they have. Go visit them today - you will be glad you did!!

This business, by far, has the best customer service and installation people in the Raleigh area. They took the time to provide me with the options for my particular needs. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, and will go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. I love my new floors!

We replaced our carpet upstairs everywhere with engineered hardwoods to match our downstairs. I got five estimates and Jeff was the most responsive and helpful with a great price. I never like to go with the lowest, but they were extremely close and had better reviews.

I am extremely glad I did. The install took 2.5 days, there were 3-6 guys at any given time here working. They were all extremely polite and even played with my kids and learned their names.

Jeff Parker makes sure you are taken care of and happy. I was a difficult person to work with, very inpatient during install process, he was always extremely responsive and concerned even when I was just jumping the gun. There are messes during the install, like the glue they used, and I just needed to wait for them to finish and get to the clean up phase for everything to be taken care of. They left it like they found it...maybe a little cleaner, did I mention I have a 4 and 5 year old?

Preferred has partnered with us twice in the past three years on two home bathroom remodels we have done. We have been very happy with both their tile and carpet, and with the workmanship of the crews who have installed them. And, we found their pricing competitive. The store staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and have a keen eye for design. Highly recommended.

We recently built a house and had a wonderful experience working with

Fantastic experience at Preferred Flooring! This was not my first stop while shopping for carpet, but walking in here was a breath of fresh air. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Preferred Flooring just installed new LVT throughout my downstairs and installed a beautiful subway tile backsplash in my newly remodeled kitchen. They gave me great pricing, great products, and awesome service. I went to their showroom many times looking at samples and they were always great to work with and I highly recommend them for any project that you have. These guys are incredible! From start to finish the whole process was smooth. They came in with a competitive quote, a range of flooring options, and overall excellent customer service. Jeff was amazing to work with! With removing laminate and carpet and adding hardwood floors to match our current hardwood floors, we could not have picked a better company to work with. We even ran into a hiccup along the way (water damage under floors) and Jeff and his team were available to help us fix the damage appropriately. The final project looks better than we expected, you would never notice the difference between the new and old hard wood floors as the stain is exactly the same. Very satisfied customer!

I have worked with Preferred Flooring twice now. New carpet 3 1/2 years ago and recently changing a room from carpet to wood flooring and refinishing wood floors. I found the entire experience painless. The women at Preferred flooring were easy to work with. We communicated not only in person but by email and phone. Kim Miller came to my house to measure, arriving when stated and wasting very little time getting her job done. The crews both carpet and wood floor guys were punctual and very professional, did a great job.

We have been working with a number of contractors (plumbers, painters, drywall, bathroom installers, kitchen) Kim at Preferred Flooring was head and shoulders above the others. She listened, understood, made suggestions and completed our project as scheduled. Everyone at PF was professional, courteous, clean and did their job well. Kim gave us a quality product within a strict budget. With her help we changed the original direction of laminate floor to 5" hand scraped engineered hardwood. We couldn't be happier. The end result is beyond our expectation. The installation crew was on time, worked hard and left the house clean. .

I recently got my floors redone and new tile in my master bathroom. The staff was very helpful, prices were very reasonable. The workers were very prompt and clean. Overall very pleased with the work and staff. I would use them again and suggest them to any of my family or friends.

Kim and Trish did a great job! They both came out to measure our third floor for carpeting and they were spot on...not a lot of extra carpeting and the carpet installers were professional and they cleaned up after the job was done. I would definitely recommend preferred flooring....they know what they are doing and they get the job done right!!
