Kudzu Bakery Litchfield

One of my most treasured Pawleys traditions. We used to frequent the shop in Georgetown so long time customers! If you can get there on Wednesday and snag a loaf of the pumpkin bread, you'll be hooked for life! Everything they make is our favorite - some kinda SC magic happening over there! We love you guys ❤

I love the food from here! Cheese danishes my favorite of any cheese danishes I've ever had. Sandwich spreads, frozen foods, pies, cakes. All delicious! The key lime pie!

This is way beyond a bakery. It's a well stocked epicerie that happens to also have a top notch bakery (in my humble opinion). You'll find curated wines, cheeses, fresh dips (crab and corn is a must), along with a multitude of pasta dishes ready to serve your guests. Then, there's the cooking utensils, and local artisan offerings if you need a thoughtful gift for that discerning foodie friend in your life. I'm a fan!

I love this bakery! This was our 1st visit, and I'm hooked. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for!!! They were cooked to a perfect crisp deliciousness.

I do not like carrot cake at all, but it's the better halfs favorite. He purchased a whole cake, and of course, I had to try just a bite. Let me tell you that led to an entire piece! I was pleasantly surprised that it was so scrum-diddly-umtous!

We also purchased some Hawaiian Grille Sauce. I'll be back to let you know my thoughts on that.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The place was spotless.

They have lots of goods and something for everyone. I encourage you to stop in and see what you can find.

One of those shops that is always an absolute pleasure to visit. Fabulous baked goods, preserves, condiments and tableware. Also an extensive wine collection, a must visit if you are in the area.

Friendly employees! Great shop, has something for everyone! The chicken salad and pimento cheese are game changers if you haven’t had them! Can’t wait to go back in and take a better look at their great wine selection! Always a must when we are visiting!

This place is one of my go twos every time that were here in Myrtle. Well, worth their drive down to Pawleys Island to go to Kudzu Bakery. I love the local artisan artwork and other collectibles that they have there. Really good cookies really good bread but phenomenal to go frozen locally made entrées and appetizers. Would highly recommend this place every time.

Everything they make is incredible! We especially love the fresh cinnamon rolls!

Can't say enough good things about Kudzu. You don't have to take my word for it....go there ANY day they are open, about 10 minutes before they unlock the doors. The parking lot is already full. There's a reason for that and I HIGHLY suggest you find out why. You will NOT be disappointed.

More than just a bakery..delightful. Great to find some special wines we have been looking for. Coconut cake!!

I’m still a little salty about their closing of the original Kudzu in Georgetown, but not so much that I don’t make a point to drop by the one in Pawleys/Litchfield when I’m near.

When I’ve got friends visiting the South Strand, I clue them in to this place and always recommend the chocolate chip cookies. I’m not saying the chocolate chip cookies are life-changing, but I’m also not saying they aren’t.

For two summer vacations we have enjoyed the treats from Kudzu bakery. Our first summer we sampled the buttermilk bread and the key lime pie. Both were wonderful. Last week we managed to snag a loaf of the cinnamon raisin bread which people stand in line for. It was very good! My favorite item so far was the lemon muffin. It was amazing.

I always make a special trip to Kudzu for sandwich bread (it really makes a difference) and end up with an arm full of extra things!

My very favorite thing is the key lime pie - it is creamy, tart perfection.

The chocolate chip cookies are crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. Delicious.

The cakes are all moist and full of flavor - I like the yellow cake with chocolate frosting - but they are all good.

Kudzu also has lots of heat and serve food in their freezer (pot pie, casseroles, biscuits, scones) and fresh pasta, sauces and dips (pimento cheese and crab are the best) in the refrigerated section.

Their huge selection of jams and other specialty foods is well curated and full of delicious gems.

Hot tip: if you want bread - go early

Incredible baked goods! A wonderful selection of gourmet foods, and and a nice selection of wines. They also offer fresh and frozen locally produced treats and have a nicely curated collection of cookware, dishes, and gifts!

I've been eating at the original store front for years. The food is amazing! The she crab soup and and their quiche are my lunch time favorite. Now for the bakery: It Rocks!

Everything at this bakery is delicious. Our family has been going since it was located in Georgetown, SC and continued to visit after relocating to the Litchfield area of SC. The lunch specials with the sandwiches are reasonable. The items within the bakery are amazing. My grandfather loves the cinnamon rolls, my aunt loves the key lime pie and I love the specialty cookies and brownies.

The best chicken salad sandwich ever! No frills, just chicken salad with walnuts on fresh baked bread. My only complaint about this bakery is it isn’t in Oak Island, NC! On my next visit to Litchfield, I will bring a cooler to stock up!
