Bjornsen Pond Management

After many years of trying to maintain our pond ourselves we were failing. Bjornesen pond management was able to diagnose the problem, get us set up with the proper equipment, and 2 seasons later our pond looks better than it has in 10 years.

Kevin & Lori run a great business! They gave us a plan to revive our 20 year old pond and much to our surprise within a little over 3 weeks we were able to eliminate the algae. With the addition of aeration it's an area we can enjoy again.

We have had a 1 acre pond for eight years in southeast Minnesota. From the very beginning, we consistently had challenges with algae and poor water clarity quality every summer. Each past spring and summer we diligently applied dry bacteria from several pond companies and manufacturers; and our applications were always according to all manufacturer specifications and recommendations. Nevertheless, we continued to have algae problems and challenges and poor water clarity quality.

As I was further researching a solution to our consistent problem, I connected with Bjornsen Pond Company’s website. I emailed Kevin Bjornsen and he replied to me in less than 24 hours and then called me via telephone.

Kevin explained to me that some dry bacteria on the market is essentially ineffective because of its age and other factors. Kevin recommended that I add Bjornsen’s Pond Fit special dry bacteria. I did so and within less than seven days the water quality in our pond was essentially crystal clear. It became somewhat less clear, but still extremely clear, for the remainder of the month. Kevin recommended that I apply eight packs of Pond Fit on a monthly basis, and I have done so. We are now into our third month of using Pond Fit, and we have had no algae problems this summer, and the water quality of the pond is extremely clear.

I highly recommend Bjornsen Pond company and its Pond Fit dry special bacteria product. It has been the only product that has been effective to keep our pond algae free and crystal clear over the past eight years.

Kevin has been extremely helpful with answering all of my questions and has given me several recommendations on how to clear up my pond. He knows his stuff! We just purchased a DIY dock kit from him and got it put together and put out on our pond for the summer. We love the way it looks. Couldn't love it more!

This is the best to go fishing. Wes well put you on the fish weather it is big fish or pan fish it is the best. My kids had an absolute blast catching fish. Never a dull moment. Can’t wait to go this spring

We reached out to BJ pond for advice on controlling filamentous algae around the edges of our 1.4-acre pond. Kevin called me back the same day. He recommended a blend of aquatic herbicides and beneficial bacteria. We sprayed using the blend that Kevin suggested and later added the beneficial bacteria, the filamentous algae is significantly better, and the water clarity is noticeably clearer.
