Prairie Oak Lodge

Beautiful lodge hall in a peaceful park environment! Offers big savings for a wedding reception if you can rely on friends/family to help set up/tear down. It's well cared for, clean, has beautiful restrooms, adequate kitchen space when catering in, great lighting, ceiling fans, fireplace, and handicap accessibility. Parking lot is very ample and paved. Surrounding grounds offer nice seasonal photo opportunities. Do make sure you have appropriate serving utensils for your food as well as kitchen towels to dry dishes after cleaning up. You do not have a built in service/cleaning crew, so consider hiring designated people for formal occasions. You are required to leave it as clean as you found it. Our daughter & son-in-law's wedding reception was beautiful here in April!

A wonderful place to hold an event. Always neat and clean. The building is spacious and can hold 250 people. The parking lot was just recently paved with plenty of spots available. The building has a kitchen. Not many utensils in the kitchen so i would recommend bringing your own kitchen utensils. A.large.fire place can be used to keep you warmer or just for rhe noce ambience

The place is in a very beautiful area. Showing nature along the drive way to your destination. Inside is very very nice. Plenty of room. Great place

Our friends wedding was held at this park and lodge. We were very impressed by how clean & well arranged the lodge was. This includes the covered picnic areas & the stand alone restrooms. It has a lot of parking lined with trees for shade to keep your cars cool & out of the sun. We had a great time here while visiting Iowa. Would love to come back here again.
P.S. Seeing the fireflies come out in the evening was a special treat for our family.

Came here for a friends wedding. The building is gorgeous. Was perfect for a wedding of about 100 people. Pleanty of room. Being at squaw creek you have a amazing variety of photo options. Great view around the building. Good parking. Not sure on pricing but I could imagine you would want to book this place plenty of time in advance.

A great venue for our Thanksgiving Fellowship. The fireplace and wood tones give it a warm inviting feel. It seated plenty, but not as many as the web site claimed, at least not without crowding.

Excellent facility. Used this for a wedding reception. Numerous guest had complimentary comments about the site.

My son had his wedding there today. They have updated the lodge since last year. It now has air conditioning. Had a beautiful wedding.

Very beautiful, spacious building in a great wooded setting with a pond and a patio. Really enjoyed it there.
