Johnny's Bar-B-Q

Johnny's is a local's spot with unpretentious food at good prices. We got there at 10:57 for an 11:00 opening on a Thursday and were behind half a dozen locals, so I knew right then we were in for a treat.

Ordered a pulled pork sandwich as I do pretty much every new-to-me BBQ place in the Southeast and it was very good. This is a sweet BBQ spot, a bit sauce heavy, but forgivable. We also had the BBQ nachos, which were exactly what you would imagine as Neo-southern comfort food.

Service was very quick, price point was great, zero complaints. Food comes out quick and hot, I know I am not alone in having experienced the opposite at several smaller town BBQ places. Could eat here all day.

My only regret is not ordering one of the potatoes =)

They were very friendly. The food was very good. Good portions. My wife had the Pork BBQ plate and I had the stuffed baked potato. I really enjoyed the stuffed tator. Nice and clean as well.

We just had dinner here and it was so good! We were seated and our server came right to our table. I didn’t catch her name but she was super friendly! Food came out pretty quick and it was fresh and flavorful. Loved the ribs! Will definitely recommend to others.

Really good, bbq. We had the chicken leg quarter plate and pork sandwich plate. Let me tell yall that chicken was awesome. Crispy, mahogany skin, tender juicy meat smoked to absolute perfection. My husband enjoyed his pork sandwich, but I was so happy I ordered the chicken. We even got Brunswick stew to go.

We stop at Johnny's Bar-B-Q every chance we get when heading south for our beach trips. Great food, service and prices. We love the Mom and Pop setting. Highly recommend!

The best BBQ I ever had!! The loaded baked potato makes me want to drive back to Alabama for them! (and I’m all the way in Florida!) We we’re driving on the highway and seen their billboard… we said what the heck, let’s see if it’s really good or not… and OMG we weren’t disappointed!! 🤤 🍗

I got a 1/2 slab with green beans and potato salad my lady got a half slab with slaw and Mac and cheese, best BBQ I've had in long time. Food came out fast and we had enough to take home for another meal. This will be our place to eat when we travel through here!!!

The food at Johnny's Bar-B-Q was amazing. I had the BBQ Pork Potato and it was excellent. The service was equally as good as the food. Definitely recommend dining at Johnny's Bar-B-Q if you are in the area.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We have stopped twice in the last couple months on our way home from a trip. Today we had another great lunch at noon, and the service was perfect. This evening my husband realized he'd left his cellphone at Johnny's. I called and they are mailing it to him! That is service above and beyond!! Zero stars for my husband!

Ate here for my very first time, BBQ pork sandwich was delicious and tender. The waitress was extremely nice and very friendly. Our meals were out within 5 minutes after ordering which was extremely convenient. I will 100% be back, best restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

Certainly better than franchise places you would normally encounter off the interstate.
The pork sandwich was pack with juicy meat and the cheeseburger was a overall (A). I'll be returning the next time I drive through!

Why haven’t I tried Johnny’s sooner?! I had a pork bbq sandwich, and it was so delicious and down home. Their sides and desserts are equally delicious. I ordered for the family to-go and the server was friendly and brought everything (we ordered a lot) to the car. I would definitely recommend.

Catfish melted in my mouth ❤ onion rings coleslaw and those hush puppies were delicious. Out waitress was top tier!!

Amazing family owned mom and pop place in biz for 56 years. We were traveling through the area and according to google this place and another bbq place which was a chain had the same rating so we chose the family business and were NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! GREAT food and service!! A must stop for award winning bbq!

A really great family place, always the best. PIT. BARBEQUE .It's getting where you can't find actual pit..Some so called BARBEQUE places is not pit , when you get your plate it's standing
in grease. Not Johnnys.

Great food had the ribs they were delicious fall off the bone. The potato salad and baked beans were on point too. Cheeseburger is always a 10/10

Food was very tasty. Server was very attentive. Restaurant clean and has both booths and tables. I recommend the smoked chicken!

Haven't ate there in quite awhile my dad had small BBLQ plate ,stepmother had whole catfish and I had catfish felay and the food was very good and the folks were really nice I don't know when but I'll definitely be back

I have a new favorite place for BBQ! I had the 1/2 chicken and it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Best I've had in years. Potatoes salad was meeh, I'll get a different side next time but overall great
