Blackbird Bistro

I ate dinner here two nights in a row while staying in Greensboro for a weekend trip to Hill Farmstead. Cocktails & food were excellent. I really enjoyed the tofu/veggie/pesto sandwich the first night. The second night I had the soup of the day which was potato leek and the house salad with tofu on it- also delicious. The atmosphere was great and service was perfect. 100% recommend.

Incredible hidden gem surrounded by greenery and an aesthetic landscape. The food was crafted perfectly with flavorful locally sourced ingredients. The menu had a really good variety, making it difficult to decide. The service and hospitality was great. When I am in the area again, no question I’d stop here again!

The food and the atmosphere were fantastic! I got "The Choker," a grilled cheese with pesto and BBQ tempeh that was out of this world good. Cannot recommend them enough. Also not pictured was my margarita and buffalo wings, which were both delicious. Worth the travel from Johnson, 200%.

Craftsbury is located very ruraly. The owner has done a fantastic job creating a space were locals and tourists feel warmly welcomed. Her never ending repertoire of tasty classy Cocktails are already known and I definitely recommend visiting. Try the "Excuse me Sir!" Home made infusions for cocktails on display at the bar are enticing you to try something new. I will update this as soon as I have a chance for a dinner night out with friends. Very covid safety oriented clean. A porch for out door dining is available and plenty of parking on location.

We've been to the Blackbird a number of times since moving to the area. We have yet to find something to eat or drink that isn't amazing. The burger, cheese curds, Nicoise, all very good. It can be a bit busy here, but well worth the wait!

Amazing place!!! Their drinks are SOOOO good--creative, artisanal, yum! Really delicious food. Excellent beers. Great people, atmosphere, and music choices too! The pic is of the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Also loved the Veggie Hipster Toastie and the Snug Valley Whopper. Perfection!

Fantastic restaurant! The tempeh sandwich was so good my best friend and I each ordered one to go for the next day.

Enjoyed drinks and burgers on the lawn. Very casual and relaxed. You might have to wait longer than you're used to, but slow down, relax, and enjoy.

What an amazing place! Perfect vibe, great food, delicious drinks, and friendly, attentive staff. Such a gem in the community! Can't wait to go back.

Do you live in Vermont, in the middle of nowhere and crave an interesting and fun restaurant + bar to go to around this forsaken tundra for a night life? Or are you visiting with no idea where to go? Well look no further. The Blackbird has a rotating seasonal menu, choice libations, and a great atmosphere. The music never disappoints. 25 stars.

This is a great addition to the local eating and drinking options in Craftsbury. Not surprisingly, the combination of excellent food and cocktails with super service and an eclectic and friendly team is a hit. We have only had take out but, it’s always been excellent. We are looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying supper in the meadow the not too distant future. This place is awesome and there is an the added bonus that you are supporting a great local business.

It’s now October and we have been back to Blackbird Bistro several times since our first review. The food is even better when it’s on site and fresh. We always have great service and enjoy our visit. The menu is all good. Deep fried pickles are a hit as is the kale salad starter and of course the poutine. All the entrees are good! It’s a shame we have to drive a way to get here as it limits my cocktail intake!

This is a wonderful cozy place to eat. The burgers are fantastic, and the deserts are really special. We had an eight layer hazelnut cake that was complex and delicious without being overly sweet. The service was perfect. We will definitely be back. Many times!!!

We dined in and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We were seated in a smaller room with only three other tables in it, which felt very comfortable in terms of COVID. The waitstaff and owner were all so kind and personable. The cocktails are made to order, which I found out after asking for a recommendation and got the jalapeño-pineapple margarita with less pineapple (would recommend!). The fried cheese curds are lightly battered and were delicious, and the different salads we had were filling portions, fresh with tasty dressings. Off the beaten path, this is a definitely a local hidden gem!

Very pleasant Saturday night dinner at BB during a super cold night in February. The place has a very fun vibe -- you can tell the locals love it. Fun cocktails.

The cocktails are fantastic, the fried cheese curds are incredible, and the crew working the restaurant are so inviting and kind. Had a fun night here after a week’s stay at the Craftsbury Farmhouse. It’s delicious and fresh without being pretentious. 10/10 vibes

I can't recommend Blackbird Bistro enough! The food is amazing and worth every penny. The flavor combinations are perfect. I recommend the poutine and the house salad--both were exquisite. The cocktail menu is unique and full of well thought out flavor combinations. On top of the great food and artisan cocktails, there's flawless service and a fun, relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!

Stopped in on the last night of a weekend trip for dinner. The poutine was great and the burger was even better! Really great outdoor space and everyone was super nice. Definitely a must stop especially if you are staying in the Hardwick area. Hope to be back soon!
