AMS

This is a real Madison success story. I've been waiting 20 years to be in a spot to do business with my vehicle. For my situation I needed to do the installation in a few visits over the time of a few month's. Kevin, the face that I worked with throughout the process was so instrumental in helping me imagine what the options are. The shop has a SEMA tech level boutique feel with a dedicated receptionist. The amount of confidence hand the keys over to have surgery done. And continue to stand by the work that is outside my realm of expertise as I learned about the novelty of new hardware. They do homework if in some situations the customer requires equipment from online venders

Needed to replace my center dash speaker on my 10 year old Lincoln (the part was no longer made by the manufacturer). Reached out to a couple of places via web contact forms, including AMS. Others were not too confident or told me to buy a used speaker from a salvage yard (why would I install a used speaker when mine had rotted out?).

On the other hand, Paul from AMS responded quickly and we had a back and forth about the best plan. In the end they installed the speaker at an agreed time and material rate. Paul kept me informed about the progress and what they needed to do as the install progressed. Speaker sounds great!

As a side note.... after the install I was having some weird things happen with my car. I reached out to Paul and he was helpful and concerned, stressing that if they did something he would make things right. In the end, it was a coincidence that my 9 year old battery was in need of replacement.

Bottom line, I've used them for this and some time ago for a backup camera install. Their service is top notch, prices are competitive and they stand behind their work! I highly recommend them!

By far the best place in Madison if you want stereo equipment upgraded in your vehicle. Their customer service is above and beyond. They went out of their way to help me. I highly recommend using AMS for your specialty automotive needs.

Had AMS install head unit, speakers, and sub in my 2011 silverado. Couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Paul and Kevin are very knowledgeable and Jeff the installer did an awesome job and went through everything with me at pick up. 😁

My husband & I both recently used AMS to upgrade the audio equipment in our vehicles. I had a new DSP amplifier, speakers & subwoofer installed in my Audi Q8. I worked with Paul who guided me through my options based on what outcome I wanted to achieve. From my understanding, the install was somewhat complex, but Paul & his staff handled it with ease.

I believe it was AJ (? could be totally wrong on that name…) who was the main installation tech working on my vehicle, was very friendly when walking me through a demo of my new equipment upon pickup.

AMS is a nationally recognized company and I find that so cool to have right here in Madison. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and it was clear that a great deal of attention and expertise went into my somewhat difficult install.

It has been 22 years since I last reached out to AMS for car audio assistance. I have installed a number of my own car stereo systems along the way since then. However, with my latest vehicle, with integrated steering wheel controls, I didn't have the time or the patience to do the install myself so I once again reached out to AMS in Madison. Paul was more than patient with helping me choose components and making suggestions along the way. Once the components were finalized, Zac did an impeccable job with the installation. Wires were tight and clean, extra care was taken to make sure everything fit perfectly. He has also been very helpful tuning and answering questions post install. Fantastic work overall, above and beyond what I could have accomplished myself.

I heard good things about the car stereos AMS installed so in 1991, I went there to get a stereo put in my 1982 Celica GTS. I wanted a pretty extensive system and discussed it with an installer named Paul. He designed a system with two(2) sets of 5 1/4" separates, a couple of subwoofers in a box and a couple of amplifiers. I got my car back in time for spring break when my girlfriend and I drove to Fort Lauderdale. Drove that car for a few years and moved away. Came back to Madison with a BMW. In 2010, I went to AMS to have them install a security system. Paul was still there. He remembered the exact stereo system he put in my '82 Celica. Recently, I contacted Paul for a new key fob for the Viper alarm system his installers set me up with in 2010. After 14 years, the alarm system still works. Had a new siren put in last summer and with a few remotes along the way, my 22 year old BMW is still secure. Paul is now the president of AMS and I am still his customer.

AMS performs quality work with quality products. Installation of a remote start for a vehicle employed the original key fob and has performed flawlessly.
A year later, we chose them for home audio equipment and could not be more pleased with the options that were presented.Big box stores cannot deliver the personal attention, the professional technical knowledge or the home installation options that AMS provides. Dedicated professionals with high end and proven products that perform!

I spoke with Paul who made time with their busy schedule to help me find a part for a discontinued product. They helped me just as a courtesy! Definitely a place to do business with. Highly recommend.

The absolute best in all of Wisconsin! There is no reason to go anywhere else. Ive been a customer for 16 plus years.. Every last person at AMS has decades of high quality install and equipment experience. Kevin, Paul, Jeff, Jason, and Jordan have been at this for a very long time. Even the secretary is great to deal with. They welcome you like family, and deliver whatever system you need! They take the time to get to know your personal music style, and system expectations. They then build a system to fit your budget and expectations. I cannot emphasize enough the quality of a work they do, Ferrari or a work van.... they treat them all the same. Quality first!! Very knowledgeable. Paul the owner was helpful with determining what remote start to purchase after market. I went with Compustar and I'm very happy with it.

In my youth, I did quite a bit of playing around with car stereos. But in my old age, I haven't really had the need to. That ended 5 years ago when the radio (and CASSETTE PLAYER!!!!) on my 20 year old mustang convertible died.

AMS replaced the radio with a Kenwood unit. Service was excellent, install was super clean, and they even had a little storage cubby to replace the seperate area where the stock ford cd player was.
Fast forward to this spring. Got the car out of storage.....Radio dead. I called...made an appt.....they called, radio fixed.....NO CHARGE!!!!! I figured it would be something easy like a fuse, but was fully expecting to pay, if not, put in a new radio.....

I have had 2 remote starts put in 2 vehicles from here. From the first phone call to the final pick up. Everyone has been so professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I have owned many vehicles over the years, but never changed out the stereo system in any of them. My stock radio broke in my 6 year old Jeep and AMS was recommended by a "car guy" I know. I could not be more pleased. Paul was outstanding walking me through the options and process and Zac did a flawless job installing and explaining everything. They did a professional job on my remote start install for my Ford Escape. I needed to get some work done while they were working on my car so they went out of their way to drive me to a nearby coffee shop and then picked me up afterwards. The install was even faster than I thought it was going to be. Great service. Definitely recommend AMS 100%.
