Steve's Wine.Beer.Spirits

Steve's is one of my all time places to come to get alcohol! I truly believe that this store is a Madison staple. They have a vast selection of wines, and they also have a healthy selection of champagne/bubbly wine. I adore the fact they have a whole wall dedicated to tequila, which is my preferred hard alcohol. Steve's also has Sake! It's so hard to find sake at liquor stores. The people working here are amazing and nice!

I've never seen so many helpful people at a liquor store in my whole life. I was looking for some N/A options and they had a great selection. Everyone was super friendly.

Recommended! This is a great liquor store with an excellent collection. One of the reasons I like going here is because they have nice little placards that tell you about the wines. They're informative, and the owners tend to highlight wines that are good buys or interesting finds.

Excellent selection and outstanding service. If it’s not on the shelf, they will gladly try to secure it for you. Always meets my needs for preparing craft cocktails, even with the most obscure ingredients. And my taste for aBelgian beers is also satisfied. Smaller than “big box” competitors, Steve’s somehow seems to match the range of their inventory with comparable prices but far better service from the knowledgeable staff. A local institution.

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They know what they sell and treat you like a friend.

Pretty much wide range international liquor and spirits selection. Once i found Tekirdag gold series Turkish Raki, but it ran out fast. Due to supplier’s in short of product they don’t carry any more. I wish they could get it soon

Always check in here for deals, just got a nice $80 scotch for half price! Can't beat their selection and deals!

Terrific shop. Beer selection was great. I am excited to try some new beer I have not had before. Bourbon/Rye/Scotch selection was very outstanding considering there is not an enormous amount of shelf space. I was able to find bourbons/ryes that I have not been able to get in the Milwaukee area for several months. They also had some of their own store picks of bourbon and rye. The store was clean, organized, and the shelves were stocked. The team member who helped me was very nice and helpful. 10/10 will be back the next time I am in Madison.

Great place to pick up special releases that you can't find elsewhere and generally competitive prices on more standard stuff as well.

For beer drinkers: Not the largest but still a very good selection, can always find a new local interesting beer. Prices on average are $2 LESS per six pack than nearby whole foods or Metcalfe's. I don't drink wine or hard liquor, so can't really comment on that.

Absolutely fantastic. I visited from Baltimore, and was looking for the best brews from the region. I found them, and then some.

Vicky was extremely sweet and helpful. She does the beer purchasing, and definitely know a her stuff. She was more than willing to walk the aisles with me and scan through all the inventory to help me find what I wanted.

If you are a beer fanatic, like I am, then Steve's is well worth a visit.

Free tasting every Friday night at 5. Great selection of all different types of beverage, often new options are added. Friendly customer service, highly recommend if you're looking for anything specific, though the price is slightly higher than your grocery stores like Walmart for obvious reasons. Overall, i thought the mark ups were pretty reasonable.

Always a pleasure to go here. Good selection and a friendly, knowledgeable staff ready to help makes this a must go to, especially for rare or special order liquors and supplies. Prices are most always fair as well.

Fun small purveyor of spirits. They always say hi when you walk in. They answer any questions you have, which I often have trouble finding that one stick of salami that I got that one time...they are patient and helpful. Cool options for beer lovers and salted meat lovers and cheese lovers. Lots of wine options. Everything is reasonably priced. Fun place to browse and to try new things.

Fun, clean, organized store. And fabulously kind and helpful staff.

And an owner whose affect makes it clear that his staff is fabulously kind and helpful in large part because he sets that example.
