Gettysburg Family Restaurant

Had an absolutely amazing dinner here today, I got the special, grilled chicken with peppers and onions over rice and I was beyond satisfied. After a disappointing attempt at dinner in downtown Gettysburg, we went here and were so thrilled. This will replace the aforementioned restaurant as a regular place to visit

This is a classic small town restaurant.

Ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Chips. It was exactly that... no frills just fresh food wit no frills.

Home style cooking just like grandma used to make! We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30, and with so many cars in the parking lot were worried we wouldn’t find a seat. Upon entering we were greeted by a younger girl working the register who promptly seated us with a smile. Within seconds we had menus, drink orders, and put in an app (Now that’s service!). The mozzarella sticks were delicious. You don’t get the grease filled sticks like you do at other locations. The sticks had a tremendous cheese pull, and we’re also fresh. My girlfriends chicken sandwich arrived along with my hot roast beef sandwich, we couldn’t wait to dig in. The gravy wasn’t to thick nor was it to thin either, just right. I finished my sandwich before our waitress even had a chance to check on us, that’s how enjoyable it was. The chicken sandwich had a nice crunch with the perfect amount of mayo. We decided to get a piece of chocolate cake to take home. Coated with chocolate icing that would make you slap yo mama, this is one of the best desserts I’ve had in the Gettysburg area. For all of this food our total came to a little over $30. You can’t find prices like that today! Needless to say we will both be back and plan on making this our new go-to dinner spot!

Just your basic homestyle restaurant which is what we were looking for. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and portions were large. Prices were excellent. Would definitely return and recommend.

Service was good, food was tasty and priced well. The restaurant filled up quickly. I got waffles and would have enjoyed the pancakes.

Who needs atmosphere when the food tasted like a 5 star restaurant? The staff makes you feel like family. They are friendly and efficient in their service. Sometimes, little places are overlooked, but do not do that with this one. Big chain restaurants are boring. This one has heart.

The food here is great and the service is spectacular! I remembered my parents taking me here after visiting the battlefield 25 years ago and stopped in to see if the place was still as good as it was then and it is! I had the crab stuffed flounder and wife had the strip steak both were cooked to perfection. Don’t forget about the delicious desserts before you go!

The soup was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant. Lots of variety and very relaxed atmosphere. I didn't have room for dessert but everyone around me seemed to be enjoying theirs.

I tried this restaurant for dinner and was not disappointed. The food and service were both outstanding. If you are in this area it is an excellent place to eat. I had the steak sandwich because I wanted a smaller meal, it definitely did not qualify as a small meal.

Right away, the staff were nice. The atmosphere was excellent. The side salad I had was mid, not good, not bad. The spaghetti was good! Tasted like Mama used to make. Makes up for the salad being just alright. Small business is always a plus. I found the portion sizes to be good for their price.

It was a nice little restaurant to go to with my fellow men. We had a great day seeing most of the sites of Gettysburg National Park and we ended the day by going to this restaurant. The menu did look like something out of Hotel Hell and Gordon Ramsey would be very upset at the large selection, but overall, it was a great place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Stopped here for breakfast before our trip home from Gettysburg. Little local diner with friendly staff and our food came out quick and hot. Staff were very friendly and kept our coffee cups full! The food was excellent and reasonably priced! Four of us came here for breakfast and the bill was under $30. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and we came here from our hotel based on the reviews. It's in a shopping plaza and it was busy for breakfast but we were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and she took our drink order right away. Our meals took some time to come out but the restaurant was busy and a few people were definitely regulars with how they were greeted. My husband had eggs and sausage and I had the western omelet. Everything was super delicious. So delicious I forgot to take a picture until after we had cleaned our plates. Oops.

Local place. No frills (leave that for you box chain types). Great atmosphere, welcoming staff and 1 heck of a HUGE Gettysburg Club sandwich and my pie was delicious! Sierra was quick and friendly!

Good food, great coffee! Busy place for a reason. Locals keep coming back. That's a good thing!

I’ve been to this restaurant before long ago, but never made a review here. There food is Homestyle cooking. I was happy with my price for the food.

This is a family dinner. If you wants a large selection of home style cooking, this is for you. First of all- kudos to our server Joey, this young man was incredibly attentive and so very polite and professional.
I had the broasted chicken and mashed potatoes with a side salad. The salad was small, as a side salad should be, but it was fresh and the Greek dressing was great. The chicken was very hot when it arrived and quite tasty. Joey said the chicken is what they are known for, and I see why. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries and I would say again it was a standard diner hamburger. It came with fries and coleslaw, both were tasty.
We also had mozzarella sticks which were larger than expected and the marinara sauce was warm and flavorful.
We're in Gettysburg for 2 days and are planning to go back for breakfast since our hotel doesn't offer a complementary meal.
The restaurant closes at 8pm. At 6:30 pm, most tables were full. This is a place that the locals eat- not a chain and not high end--but good family friendly affordable meals.

One of our most favorite places to visit when we stop in Gettysburg. Great family restaurant good food reasonably priced and delicious! Always have a good meal when we stop in!

We stopped here for breakfast when we were in the area. Portions were very generous and prices were reasonable. Everything was so good that we stopped back there for lunch on our way back home. We would highly recommend.
