Dr. Melcher’s office is amazing. With the treatment they provided, we were able to avoid jaw surgery for my son. They are following my young daughter very closely also. I feel like both doctors genuinely care about their work and answer any question I have with great bedside manner.. Their staff is always so helpful and friendly and so accommodating to me (not the patient) with my newborn! Treatment plans are thorough and I felt well informed with the plans for both of my children. I appreciated the updates at every appointment with my son from the team. The office is clean, scheduling has always been very easy, wait times have always been very short and being greeted with happy and friendly faces always provides comfort. I am so happy with the work they did with my oldest and will definitely be taking my younger kids for treatment.

Now that I have my braces off, I am grieved that I won’t be seeing the staff at Melcher Orthodontics as much as I used to. They are such friendly and kind people and they put forth a lot of effort to take care of you. I really appreciate how they always let you know before they do something in your mouth, and describe what it will feel like. I know this may seem like a small thing, but for a lot of people this sort of sensory preparation goes a long way. Their dedication to service is always impressive, and my finished smile looks beautiful. Hopefully I mess my teeth up again and have to get braces all over again. I rate Melcher Orthodontics 6/5 stars!

The care I received at this office was fantastic! Dr Matthew Melcher answered all of my questions and put me at ease when considering starting braces. From scheduling with the front, meeting with Dr Matthew, and the assistants in the back everyone was really kind, patient and helpful!

The whole office was just as sweet as could be. The front desk went out of their way to love on my crazy three year old with fun stickers, pens and toys. We have had a few appointments in the last month and they were always right on time. Dr. Matthew Melcher was so wonderful, patient and thorough with my 2348239 questions. He felt like a super knowledgeable friend. We are grateful to have an awesome orthodontist as all three of our kids are going to need a lot! I highly recommend!

I should have gotten braces when I was in my teens. I didn't, but I needed my upper teeth widened to fix potential future issues with my mouth. I got the surgery to widen my upper teeth, and it was Dr. Melcher that helped my teeth become straight. Through his treatment plan, I have straight teeth and a much better smile. His treatment also fixed my TMJ. My teeth are not longer crooked and my jaw is no longer too thin. I owe my straight teeth to Dr. Melcher and his team, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Dr. Melcher and his team are brilliant, and they can fix near any orthodontic issue you have. I cannot recommend them enough!

This is kind of a crazy review to go back and leave.... Almost 10 years later. My case was a bit special and required an odd treatment plan that I concluded in 2014 which was supposed to lead to dental implants at the conclusion. I am finally at the point in my life where I am ready to make the investment and have started the process to finish my treatment. Every single dentist that has seen me since Dr. Melcher remarks on the wonderful work of my prior orthodontist and wants to know who did it. Because I have a permanent lower retainer and have worn my Hawley retainer with fake teeth basically everyday for the past decade my teeth have not shifted at all and are still ready for implants. And how crazy that the Hawley retainer they made me has lasted this long and still works and looks great. It shocks everyone who finds out about it. Their office is top tier, I only ever had great experiences with them. I highly recommend Dr. Melcher.

We had a fantastic experience with Dr Melcher. They did wonderful work for both of my kids, starting with consults from young ages to make sure we were on top of the situation. They way they handled the baby teeth minimized how much time they spent in braces, which we appreciated. The office staff is so warm and helpful and appointments were easy to schedule and always running on time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Everyone in Dr. Melcher's office is highly professional and easy to work with. That includes the ladies at the front desk, the technician who takes the Invisalign images, Kim in the billing department, and Dr. Melcher himself. I am fully satisfied with my newly-straightened teeth and the experience that got them there.

The office is up to date with modern technology and equipment. Dr Melcher and his team are friendly and caring and have always made my children and myself feel comfortable and cared for. There are no hidden costs, they have several payment options and are very reasonably priced for the quality of care that Dr Melcher provides. I have been happy with the excellent care and will continue to refer friends and family to this office.

As a general dentist living and practicing in the Louisville area for nearly 20 years, I've had the opportunity to refer to many excellent specialists. However, the only one I can say I've heard universally positive feedback from my patients about is Dr. Melcher (and his incredible staff). His treatment planning and treatment results are second to none. He and his staff are friendly, cheerful and technically outstanding. When it came to orthodontic treatment for my own two children, there was no one else I even considered. Currently, I teach at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and have the opportunity to see orthodontic results from many other providers. I still have yet to see the equal of this practice.

Cannot thank Dr Matthew, Kim, and the whole team enough for what great care they are taking of our family. We have a bit of a complicated care plan, and they really took the time and care to make sure we covered all options before moving forward. So appreciate everything they have done for us!!!

Truly fantastic orthodontist and staff. Kind, helpful, accommodating, talented, and friendly. Very willing to work with families to make certain orthodontia needs are met and everyone is happy and as comfortable as possible. Front staff takes the extra time to answer questions, offer support, and get to know each family. After-hours care is quick to respond and helpful, with follow-up the workday after to make certain all is well. Dr. Melcher is gifted, personable, and takes a team approach so patient and family feel in the loop and included in the treatment plan. We couldn't be happier or more grateful for the excellent care and professionalism.

Overall I had a great experience getting my braces through Dr. Melcher and continue to have a great experience with my retainers.

As soon as you walk through the front door you are met by two receptionists that have a smile on their face whether it’s 8am or 4pm. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be taken back, which is a relief as I’ve frequently waited 30+ minutes at other dentists.

The dental assistants are all very nice and genuinely care about the comfort of their patients.

As far as braces go, Dr. Melcher’s goal is to get you through the treatment as swiftly as possible. However, his top priority is making sure that everything is done correctly so you don’t have to be back in half a year.

Excellent! I can't recommend Dr. Melcher's office enough! Not only is he a brilliant Orthodontist who will give you a beautiful smile, but his staff is great to work with. When you have to deal with a staff regularly over a period of a year or more while you have braces you want a staff that's friendly, flexible and easy to work with. Dr. Melcher's staff is really top notch. The front office staff are always friendly and on top of the situation. Need to change appointments, no problem. They know who you are and what you are there for that day. It was so nice to deal with them I really appreciate their professionalism and general friendliness. Dr. Melcher also has really good technicians that know what you are going through and can minimize discomfort. They really make the whole braces experience as frictionless as possible. Some of the technicians have 25 years of experience and you can tell when they are working on you that they know what they are doing. It was a pleasure dealing with all of the technicians and I think I had every one of them in my 18+ months of braces. And finally Dr. Melcher's work speaks for itself. He is a very talented Orthodontist who knows teeth and how to make them look great. He is an artist and I am so glad I had him take care of my braces. I now have a smile that will last my entire life and I could not be happier with my investment. If you want the best smile possible from a friendly staff, look no further than Melcher Orthodontics.

This is a fantastic practice! Dr. Melcher is extremely thorough and his treatment is very comprehensive with great attention to every detail. The front desk staff is exceptionally kind and accommodating, and the orthodontic assistants are highly skilled, who always explain everything very clearly during every step of the treatment. Dr. Melcher and the staff at Melcher Orthodontics have been wonderful to our family. Our son is on the spectrum and has sensory issues as well as trouble navigating instructions at times. They were so patient with him and took the extra time he needed to make him comfortable and meet his needs in every way.
