I didn’t have an appointment and was in a pinch for service to save a camping/mountain biking trip. Not only did they get me in immediately, they went well beyond my initial needs and for very reasonable fees they performed a number of other services that I had been overlooking. All of this was done quickly and efficiently. They saved my trip, saved me future time and effort, and taught me a few things while they were doing the work.

I am an avid mountain biker and have had lots of different experiences in lots of different shops. Sports garage is very down to earth, friendly, non-pretentious people that genuinely want to be helpful and nice. I originally called inquiring about a bike last fall, and out of the dozen or so shops I spoke with, Sports Garage was the most helpful and informed. Dan is extremely knowledgeable about bikes and discussing the options, as is Fred who I worked with for ordering and setting up the bike. I did encounter some major issues after purchase, and Brad the owner went out of his way to make sure it all got resolved in a timely fashion - everyone was apologetic and without attitude. It can be tough to find a mountain bike shop that doesn’t carry an attitude with it - this is definitely one! If nothing else, call or stop in and see for yourself! Thanks to you all and I LOVE the new bike (let’s face it, it’s the best bike 😂).

Wow, I had the best experience buying a new bike at Sports Garage! It is so daunting to buy a bike these days with so many features and bikes being such a big-ticket purchase. They stocked many demo bikes in smalls and x-smalls which not a lot of stores do, and then helped me find the bike perfect for my riding style. Then once it came in, they set it up and spent hours with me adjusting it for my height, weight, hands, preferences, and teaching me how to use all of the features I wasn't used to. They sure have a lifelong customer out of me! 12/10 would recommend.

Super awesome staff that feels more like your pit crew than a bike shop. I do various low level racing and the staff helped make sure my bike was ready to go for each and seemed invested in how to best prepare me and my bike.

Five different bike stores in Boulder couldn't be bothered to give me the time of day for a small part that I needed for an older bike; everyone at sports garage are the kindest bike shop employees I've run into,10 out of 10 not only did they have the parts I needed they we're willing to talk with me and help me figure out how to solve what I was trying to accomplish. For six dollars they just got my business for life.

Brad and his team at Sports Garage Cycling are the BOMB! I rented a demo bike at the start of the season and LOVED it. So, when I returned the bike, I ordered one up.

COVID affected delivery but, the team handled this with grace by keeping me updated on the status and in the loop throughout the whole process. I am sure it wasn't easy calling to say, "Hey! Your bike is not in yet but..." multiple times but in these times what can you do.

Once my bike finally arrived, it was slightly different than what I had ordered...in a good way!! I am one happy customer and HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend doing business with these guys. Not only are they easy to work with but really rad too!

No better place in Boulder to get repairs, or maintenance work on your bike. Best shop in town to consult with to purchase a new bike.

Excellent and personalized customer service. I especially enjoyed working with Dan. I was looking for a deal on a mountain bike late season and found a bike I absolutely love and they spent time with me making sure it fit just right including shocks, taught me how to use the different features and set me up with an interest free payment plan. I highly recommend!

Sports Garage is as close as you can get to the perfect bike-buying experience. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff, great bikes and a demo process that lets you try for days/weeks before you buy. I can't say enough good things about this place- keep up the great work!

Went here recently for a gravel bike fit with Fred. As a casual rider returning to cycling after a years-long break, this was the first time I had sought out a detailed professional evaluation of my setup. Going in I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm very happy with the results. Fred was thorough in taking my measurements, gauging my flexibility and range of motion before making any adjustments. He patiently answered all my novice questions and also gave me several helpful tips to improve my posture and technique. The before/after difference was significant and my bike is now much more comfortable, giving me the confidence to start tackling longer rides. Great place with friendly and professional staff, will definitely be back.

I went to 3 other cycling shops in Boulder before getting a recommendation on this shop. I initially stopped looking for this brake lever because all the other shops claimed that it was back ordered till November. I ride a lot and can’t handle that downtime so I kinda gave up looking local and was in the process of scouring the internet to find a solution. Cut to me buying some new pedals for my gravel bike from these lovely people, and mentioned it off-handedly as if they could help(yeah right). Not only were they familiar with this issue they had the part in stock and at a very fair price. Got home, slapped it in and boom. Ready to go for the weekend 🤙 so stoked to have these people as my new go to LBS!

If you are intelligent and thinking of buying a gravel bike in Boulder Colorado - then this review is for you. Gravel biking is the fizz right now in BoCo. The demand for gravel bikes has created a customer service liability - meaning, we want it and they got it, so we have to abide by their rules.

I was in the market for a very specific Salsa gravel bike. The bike was available and I needed to work thru the network of local Salsa dealers to purchase this bike. I called all the Salsa dealers in the Front Range but ONLY Brad at Sports Garage, was willing to offer me the kind of sales experience that was important to me. I need to know that I feel like my needs and values are being taken care of, and no one else did that. :)

These guys are world class, starting with owner Brad James! As the only shop in town to offer a bike demo program, I demoed 6 different mountain bikes over a 6 month period before choosing one and throughout the demo experience never felt rushed or pressured into buying one. They instead were patient and took to the time to share pros/cons of each bike, with feedback from other demo riders. Dan was super knowledgeable and courteous w/ each demo and in the end, owner Brad James honest approach secured my commitment. Sports Garage is THE place in Boulder and surrounding areas if you’re in the market for a new mountain bike AND want to try before you buy!

Sports Garage has been my go-to place for bike maintenance since I found them in 2020. Every time I get service done, I learn something and am left with a quality repair.

The mechanics here have been super helpful in recommending upgrades or replacements in addition to maintenance. Plus, their multi day demo program is hard to beat. I can’t recommend SG enough.

Need to demo high end bikes? Check. Need the money spent on renting demos to go towards purchasing the one you like best? Check. Need to trade in your bike to help purchase that new bike? Check. I worked with 3 different folks (Omar, Dan, Brad) and they all were phenomenal. Great communication, they got everything perfect for the custom tweaks I requested on my new ride...it was the best bike purchasing experience I have ever

I recently purchased a Yeti SB130 CLR and last year purchased a Rocky Mountain PowerPlay eBike from SG. They are without a doubt the best specialty bike shop in the area. Brad, Dan and the team are really friendly, fair and take good care of me. Pricing is reasonable for everything especially service which is always top notch. I call these guys or just stop by for advice all the time. I love this bike shop! I really find they go above and beyond for with their service. Happy customer forever!

I have been a customer at SG for about 14 years. Got a bike fit there, bought a bike, bought a few parts every now and then, and had some servicing done as well. Even though ownership changed a while back (I think?), SG has been a gem of a shop for Boulder.

Chris was great to deal with. He knows his stuff, always ready to lend a helping hand, generous with his time, and knowledge of bikes.

If I ever need a Pivot (I am eyeing the Mach 4 sl...), I know SG is the place to go and Chris the person to talk to.
