It had Been a while since I saw a professional to cut my hair. Sierra had all sorts of ideas for my curly hair and I felt comfortable letting her do as she thought would look good with the length and layers. I've never had a stylist as excited about my curly hair as Sierra was. I usually leave a stylist without a blow dry because I don't want my hair to be straight, but Sierra taught me some methods for making my curls as curly As they can possibly be! Definitely excited to come back!

I’ve been going to The Parlour Boulder since I was 18 years old. All of the amazing Hairstylist who now have their own successful salons come from The Parlour which speaks volumes about the service and care you will receive. Top notch, laid back, amazing customer service & team. This place holds a special spot in my heart and always will. Go see Valeria for the BEST haircut ever. Sean is also a great hairstylist & colorist. Easily 5 stars!

Sierra definitely knows how to give a fantastic hair experience. Honestly one of the best hair washes I’ve ever gotten, it was so relaxing. I walked in and told her do whatever you think will frame my face properly and be low maintenance. She did exactly that, taught me how to style it if I wanted to, and was 100% real with me the whole time. I had entertaining conversations with her as well! Definitely book Sierra!!

She has a warm and welcoming disposition, and will give you a very professional consultation and help you make some excellent hair do decisions. Additionally, she will give you a fabulous scalp massage. I immediately booked my next appointment.

Jessica gave me a super cute fun haircut that was just what I was looking for. I have fine curly hair and she was very knowledgeable in working with texture. Sierra cut my daughter’s hair and Ian cut my sons hair. Both kids cuts were great and very reasonably priced. We have had bad kids haircuts in the past so we are happy to find a place that works for us.

Sierra was amazing! Very thoughtful, helped me weigh all my options without judgement, and constantly communicated throughout my haircut so there were no surprises at the end. She was very kind and knowledgeable. Definitely coming back to her!

Sierra is a gem of a human and incredible at what she does - from the initial consult where she makes sure you’re comfortable through teaching you how to replicate the same styling results at home. Shameaka has been doing my hair for years. She was the first person to ever give me an all over color and she has been stuck with me since. Once, during the delirium that is early motherhood, I tried to leave her in order to find a stylist closer to me. But in looking at pictures of my past hairstyles to use as reference, I realized that all of my favorite ones were Shameaka's flawless work and went running back.

Recently, my daughter received a terrible haircut at a children's salon. I reached out to Shameaka with a hair emergency, asking her to fix it. She came through for me (as always) and did an amazing job correcting the very squiggly 'straight' line that was cut into my daughter's hair. Not only did she fix the other stylist's mistakes, she got my daughter to talk to her (a big accomplishment), and gave her an experience that she loved.

Shameaka has been with me and my very thick hair since she started at The Parlour. In that time, I've had all lengths, several colors and treatments, two hair type changes thanks to pregnancy, and a whole lot of never knowing what to do with my hair until she helps me. Shameaka was incredible when she started at the downtown location and she's even more incredible now. My time in her chair is always relaxing and fun. A true expert and professional in her craft - I'd refer anyone to her.

Although I'd follow her anywhere, I'm so happy that she's at the Boulder location. The front desk staff is great and the entire salon feels classy, peaceful, and positive.

In short, you should get your hair done here, by Shameaka or another stylist. You won't regret it.

Just had another amazing service with Sha’Meaka, this review is so overdue! I’ve been seeing Sha’Meaka for over 7 years and each time I leave feeling so refreshed and beautiful. I get so many compliments on my hair, even when it’s grown out! She specializes in blondes and is honest with what service is best to keep my hair healthy. I won’t let anyone else even THINK of touching my hair and neither should you :) Thank you Sha’Meaka!

I had the most lovely experience with Shamika yesterday, and I am so thrilled to have a new stylist. I loved working with Celia for years, who now has moved out of state. I was hesitant to try someone new, and I am so happy I did! She listened carefully to my wishes, took cues from my photo inspirations, and really nailed it. The staff were super welcoming and the hospitality is always delightful. Subtle highlights and an overall reshaping of my cut.

Angela is the best. I've been going to her since she was in cosmetology school in 1988. She's also my sister :). It is wonderful though to witness her at work with the team. Everything is a learning moment. Staff definitely respects her expertise. She is very focused on what's best for the Parlour, the image presented, the customer experience. Even down to how the chairs are facing at closing time, removing flowers from the makeup station since it's unsanitary, closing cabinet doors left opened, straightening, sweeping. Very manager like.
