This hotel has long been a Bucket List destination for us & we finally made it! It did not dissappont. The rooms are quaint, cozy & comfortable.

Far enough off the main road to not have traffic noise. Close to the walking path; downtown is easily accessible.

Check in, check out, breakfast was all relaxed... Not rushed like most modern places. Great staff, very accommodating and helpful.

The only negative thing to say is more to do with the common courtesy of other guests. Room and parking lot noise seems to travel easily and one neighbor kept us up very late.. The other.. Got us up earlier than we wanted for vacation.

What a delight this place is! I have been coming to Colorado since 1980, staying at many different places. This place is some sort of holdout of "Old Colorado"--that time when Colorado was *not* overrun with condos and Audis. The motel is intentionally "rustic" in appearance, without being rustic in comfort. Beds are grand. AC and heat. I am a tough rater---I do not give 5 stars unless I am surprised and pleased. I heartily give this place 5 stars. Value, clean, friendly, accessible, charming. And the location! Literally across the street from a large, fantastic hiking preserve. My dog was ecstatic bounding through the nature only five minutes away. She is demanding I spread the word to other humans, so their hounds can experience this paradise. (Note: Pet friendly) If want to see Boulder's shops, you are 1 nice walking mile to Pearl St. (If you are not familiar with Boulder, you want to go to Pearl St.) You walk past great houses in a nice neighborhood to get there.

Such A Hidden Gem ! Cozy little cabins for a reasonable rate , clean and quiet. Place dates back to 1936 and I love that feeling of staying in a place with history , definitely coming back ! And a HUGE thank you to the young lady at the front desk.

Our favorite place to rest our heads on our recent Colorado journey. Patty at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. You also feel like you are staying in the wilderness between the motels quaint vibe and the beautiful park across the road. We enjoyed everything about our stay and look forward to another!

i usually prefer a little more luxurious accommodations. however, my wife, lisa, saw this place and was very interested. we needed a place to stay for a nearby wedding. i booked the flagstaff suite and she was over the moon! i was impressed by the staff, the room, everything! we will absolutely be back again next year or maybe sooner! ps i bought a hat!

Wonderful little boutique motel, across from a lovely park, trailheads and 5 minutes from Pearl St. Hate to leave a 5-star review lest it gentrify but would highly recommend. Granted, rooms are small, but cozy. And you shouldn't be hanging out in your room if you're in Boulder!

Loved our stay here. It was a nice area and a delightful walk to Pearl Street Mall. Check-in was easy and the staff was nice and helpful throughout. Loved the character of the place too! Next time I'm in Boulder, I'll for sure stay at the Foot of the Mountain Motel again. --November 2019 (with 2 friends)

Update, had another stay 4 years later and I'm still in love with this place. I can't wait to return again.

This place is great! It’s like a step back in time with it’s rustic cabin thing going on. SO close to downtown and just as charming as can be. Also breakfast options were decent, everyone was friendly. Bonus- cute outdoor space butted up against the rocks!! It’s not exactly renovated, but it was clean (and really, the “old” look is part of what makes it fun).

Cool, 1934 throwback-y motel/ski lodge type place just a whisper from downtown Boulder. This isn't the Four Seasons and my high-maintenance ex would not have liked it, but I loved. Good bed, lots of wood finishes, vintage Coca-Cola fridge. Just up from the creek and hiking. Good value too.

A charming rustic getaway on the edge of Boulder. Quiet and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom looked a little old but everything worked and the shower was hot! Beautiful view all around and a nice walking trail just across the road. Will probably stay here again when we visit Boulder.

It feels like you are in a national park (like Teton or Yellostone), but you are within a charming village (Boulder Colorado).

If you like, as an experience, nature and freedom , it is the place to be!

Rent a bicycle, it is the right means to complete the experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from all over the US and Switzerland during our stay. The cabins are a bit rustic but clean and neat. Continental breakfast was delicious.

One of my favorite places to stay in Boulder! The rooms are all a little different and have a cozy rustic charm to them. They have always been clean, organized and overall the location can't be beat. Occasionally theres some noise of muffled talking heard through the walls but being a person whose super noise sensitive it's always kept under control, never too late, and they always have fans on hand per request which works out great. The main lodge is always stocked with general snacks and drinks, they have some gluten free options, and it feels homey and above all the staff are kind, thoughtful and Ive felt welcome and cared for every time I've stayed...which has been more then I can count on two hands. Special shout out to Jeremy whose super accommodating, quick to respond and a great person overall! I LOVE this place and it feels like home. Thanks foot of the Mountain <3

Very pleasant, rustic, peaceful little motel outside downtown Boulder. If you're the walking type, enjoy a pleasant walk along Boulder Creek into downtown. Great customer service, nice little rooms. The design and materials are not high-end, but if they were you'd have to pay more! Good value for the price, including breakfast.

It was amazing 💚 Visited in the 90s when my sister got married on Flagstaff mountain nearby. I used to hike in the mountains of southern CA. The rooms at this motel smelled like the vanilla smell of the Jeffrey pine trees I used to hike in. They were lined in pine. Amazing memory and easy foothill walks and hikes nearby with views of Boulder.

This is the epitome of a 5-star hotel. Not luxury, more like going to summer camp. The room was clean and very vintage, but with some modern upgrades. The location just cannot be beat in Boulder. Eben G Fine park is right at your doorstep with a nice walk to downtown. The views from your porch are a spectacular morning sight. All the staff we met were really helpful and friendly.

Amazing setting literally at the foot of the mountains! This cute retro motel was very clean and well-kept, and we changed our vacation plans so we could spend an extra day. Great location close to Pearl Street and right across from a very nice park. Dog friendly!
