A Hidden Gem in North Boulder - Spruce Confections.

Nestled amidst the charming streets of North Boulder, Spruce Confections is a delightful haven that captures the essence of community and warmth. Just a short stroll from home, the journey to this quaint café treats you to breathtaking views of the mountains peeking through the buildings and trees, setting the perfect backdrop for a leisurely morning or afternoon.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the kind and attentive staff who quickly make you feel like part of the family. Their genuine interest in getting to know you adds a personal touch that elevates the entire experience.

But what truly steals the show are their heavenly pastries, freshly made each day to perfection. Indulging in one of their delectable treats is nothing short of a culinary delight. And paired with their delicious coffee, it's a match made in heaven. My go-to choice is the drip coffee, which comes with a refill at an incredibly reasonable price of around $3.25 - a steal in Boulder.

What sets Spruce Confections apart is not just its exceptional offerings, but the sense of belonging it fosters within its community. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, there's an undeniable charm that keeps drawing you back. And with access to hiking trails just minutes away, it's more than just a café; it's a destination that invites you to savor every moment.

In a city known for its vibrant culture and culinary scene, Spruce Confections shines as a hidden gem, embodying the true spirit of hospitality and quality. A visit here isn't just about satisfying your cravings; it's about embracing a slice of Boulder's soul.

The best packaged gluten free cakes and breads I've ever tasted. I wish we had this where I live, or that they offered mail order, because it would be worth every dime. I had the cinnamon bread, mocha chip bread, and chocolate zucchini bread. All win.

I love this place. The baked goods and the coffee are well made and delicious every time. Kaye, the manager, is informative, kind, and obviously working hard to have a smooth running operation and meet customer's expectations.

Damn good coffee and pastry. Very nice and pleasant employees. I'm afraid I wouldn't go back though. Seems that I was wrong demographic for that neighborhood and I quickly felt uncomfortable with the stares from the other customers. I quickly realized that I did not belong in that area and decided to finish my coffee in the car rather than make people feel uneasy around me. But I did enjoy the coffee as I scratched Boulder off of my list of possible places to retire!

Pies at holiday were expensive and no instruction on how to bake for presentation at table. Overall the finest gluten free and regular pastry & americano is perfection.

Not only does Spruce Confections have yummy food (burritos, sweet confections) and delicious drinks (coffee, juices, etc.); every Sunday from 9:30-11:30 there is joyful music in the sweet courtyard on the side. A great band—string instruments and singing—has been playing for the last 15 years (and who I just recently discovered). Old time jazz and tunes that make your feet tap and your head nod. Great folks and fun atmosphere!

Been here a few times when visiting family.
A very unique place. Dog friendly.
Great little baked things. Some of their items I cannot pronounce.
Look at the picture I’ve attached to this review, how on earth do they do that❓

Team is the one we hired because of the good reviews on Google. The guys worked diligently for several hours while being on schedule, courteous, and friendly.

Really great coffee. I got a latte and banana walnut bread. The latte was perfect. I recommend this place for coffee if you are going to rocky mountain national park.

To say that it's a pleasure to go to Spruce almost every day would be a vast understatement. They have the best coffee in Colorado and pastries to match, pair those two things with staff that care about your experience, and you have the perfect cafe. If you have time and you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by!

They have some really good bakery items, like their cinnamon rolls and cookies. Not a fan of their scones, but to be fair, I don't like many American scones. Coffee is good. Nice outdoor seating.

Always delicious. Favorites are raspberry scones, bacon breakfast burrito, and the old b cookie. I spend more $ here than any other place hands down.

Great friendly staff, good selection of pastries and healthy food, good wifi, and sometimes there's spontaneous live music (and outdoor seating if it's too loud).

Love this homey neighborhood cafe; especially walking up on Friday mornings with the whole family to hear wonderful local musicians as we connect with friends.

My partner and I moved to the north end of Boulder about 4 weeks ago and we have been to Spruce several times each week since we arrived. We love it here! The coffee is spot on and the baked goods are delicious. The scones and cheese danishes are to die for!

This is a coffee shop that is located a walk away from my old house. This is an amazing home baked shop that has a big variety of pastries and sweets, while also having burritos and quiches. This is an amazing place that I suggest you check out. If you go there, the coffee isn't the best so just go to this one to get food and get a steamer. (A steamer is milk that is heated up and there are many flavors you can choose to put in it)

The Best Coffee Shop Bakery that I’ve found in Boulder! Buttery, crispy, and just delicious baked goods, good coffee, great staff, and a classic corner coffee shop feel. With fast and friendly service and seating inside and out, this is a great place to grab coffee and pick up goodies for a brunch or sit and take a moment to enjoy yourself. Consistently amazing, it’s a definite favorite of mine!
