Sundown Saloon

Had a great time at the sundown saloon! I’ve been here multiple times before but tonight Tamara really stood out and went above and beyond to ensure we had a not just comfortable time but a super pleasant time! We were just browsing for an open table and she pointed one out that had just been left by previous customers. If that wasn’t help enough, she returned within a matter of seconds to wipe off the table. She kept checking in and was extremely personable, attentive, and alert. She 100% made this the best experience at the sundown saloon I’ve ever had and she made me look forward to coming back!!

Every time we come to Boulder we HAVE to stop here! This dive bar is a true time capsule. It feels like you go back to the 80s/90s in an instant. This place is a little worn and grungy but that’s what makes it so awesome! Cheap beer, jukebox, & free pool! What else could you ask for!

This is a dive bar so my rating is a comparison to other dive bars I've drunk and shot eight ball at.
I met up with my way younger cousins here. They were bar hoping. I met them for a pitcher which was reasonably priced.
I was the only non-GenZ patron in this packed pool hall (free to play before a certain hour, then it was like a quarter or something cheap like that)
Me and the kids had fun, but I left around 1030. Not because it was getting hecka packed, but because I was getting tired eh eph.

Fantastic place for good beer and great pool, plenty of tables and great atmosphere. Well worth seeking out. Make sure you go downstairs into the basement

I mean this with the utmost respect - solid dive bar / pool hall, with a great selection of whiskey. Prepare to be transported to another time and DON'T put your drink on the pool table.

This is probably my favorite bar in the world. The staff is always ridiculously kind. The place is relaxed and easy to find. The prices are great. I highly recommend the Downer if you come through Boulder.

I love this place! I have been going to this awesome dive bar for almost 20 years. It is hard to beat the vibe here, cheap beers, darts, pool, shuffle board. What more can you ask for. It hasn’t changed a bit since I started going there.

We were visiting from out of town and the night life vibe is fun here! Lots of college kids, but fun nonetheless! If you’re looking for a fun place with cheap beer head here!

Thankfully amid the gentrification and the huge number of entitled students with tons of money one dive bar still survives in Downtown Boulder. It's an oasis of reasonably priced grunge in a sea of white washed mediocrity. And no, the new head coach has nothing to do with it.

fun basement bar, lots of pool tables and a few dart boards. The crowd was super fun, music was on point and the bartenders are awesome! I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

Absolutely a spot to check out when in town! Place is the complete dive bar in every perfect way! Happened to stumble across it! Definitely a must do if you like Cheap beer and Free pool!

Beer is cheap, has like 8-10 pool tables and people for thr most part are friendly so you won't struggle to talk to someone or play pool with someone. Always buy pitchers, don't buy pints. This is one of my top 3 places to visit to play pool. Also, Tuesdays they have tournaments so those are fun

Great beer great pool. FANTASTIC service. These peeps work really hard to make it covid safe and friendly. Tip well if you come to drink. The music is all over the place and awesome, great dive in the best way possible. Don't mess around and they give you good service. Do mess around... and maybe they break off your arm?

$8 PBR Pitchers and Free pool and darts. And it's on pearl Street. That's unheard of. Great atmosphere full of real Boulder People.

This is the best bar I have been to! The people who work here are extremely nice, and very quick and efficient. This place has 5 pool tables (primary reason why people come here). Lots of people come here just to hang out with their friends, or to unwind after a hectic work day.
If you are new to the city, you should definitely visit this bar.

Just had 3 sides and the bone in eye (cowboy) the whipped potatoes, Mac, and the gnocchi. The potatoes and the steak were the high lights of the food. Both had a ton of flavor. The drinks were excellent too. I had a scotch based drink with a ton of citrus notes. The service was good and attentive. I would give 4.5 if I could bc the two other sides were okay... But the ambiance kills it.

8$ pitchers of PBR!!!! FREE pool!!! STELLAR bartenders & STAFF!! This is the epitome of what a classic western bar in boulder Colorado in 2022 Should be!! It even has the dank mystic embedded aroma of a bygone swinging saloon door era....I love this bar!
