Delicious food and excellent service!!! Traditional style Italian pizzeria with that classic thin crust hand tossed crust. Try their Italian sodas!! And their garlic infused olive oil is awesome.

Very good pizza, especially if you like the crisp thin style. Service was top notch, and the restaurant is overall a nice place to spend some time in. Would definitely go back!

The food here was amazing!!! 🤤 Everything was beautiful and the staff was so kind and funny, I go with my family every so often and the community just makes me want to go back all the time. I recommend this place to all my friend, it brings me back to my high school days when I worked at the local pizza shop! ☺

Great pizza, especially the gluten free crust. It's as good as the regular. Service was excellent. And a nice spot for kids.

We went for the first time and it was AMAZING. The only thing better than the food was our lovely bartender/waitress. She was giving us amazing recommendations, letting us know what fun menu items were coming, and was overall wonderful to talk to. Would make the 40 minute drive to this location just for her drinks again!

Embarrassed to say we’ve lived in Lafayette for 4 years and this is our first visit. Pizzas (Angel’s Pie and the Fri/ Sat special clam pizza) were delish. Their red sauce is exceptional and their salad special was flavorful and perfect with our pizza. The staff (the fellows manning the pizza oven), Nono and Ashley were very friendly, helpful and super personable. They also gave us really great recommendations. Nono made us the perfect (not so dirty) dirty martini. We will definitely be seeing this lovely Proto’s family again!

The service we received was 1st class and the food was prepared exceptionally well. We had the meat lovers Pizza and a magnificent salad . Tim's entire staff was on point and exceptionally friendly.

Is there anything better than fresh mozzarella, thick cut tomatoes, a rich balsamic reduction, and oil? No! There’s not. I will say that if you do take out, it is tough to keep that pizza warm. Flavor is great, cheese is delish, texture of crust is crunchy but chewy… a very nice first experience with these guys!!!

PS…I didn’t see our receipt but the “staff benefits charge” isn’t going to go over well with some. Probably better to simply raise your prices and not advertise that. I get what you’re trying to do but why stir the pot? 😁

If Thomas is working, definitely order a dessert! He's an artist and can make you something that would cost a mint elsewhere. He's also super polite and makes our day anytime we go in. 👍😊👍

Edit 1 (4/21/22): The staff here are simply amazing. If you want an authentic pizza with an authentic experience this is the place to go. I cannot recommend this pizzeria enough, they are wonderful. All of the ingredients are fresh and prepared right in front of you. This should be an absolute must try for everyone. Phenomenal date night option.

The Ultimate is delicious! With great service and Italian cream soda, Protos is a good choice for pizza night.

The pizzeria Was very nice, my family and I had the atomica and ultimate pies, the pizzas were light and allowed for the cheeses, sauces and toppings to shine which i liked. On top of that they would make the pizza in an open kitchen (you could spectate the pizzas being cooked) creating a distractionfor little children.
The service was really good and quick but the restaurant was a bit understaffed. It was a little claustrophobic but alright and adaptable.
If you like and drink soda semi regulary id suggest the italian soda, but if you arent that interestedin sodas id suggest you dont. The italian soda comes in many flavors and is confusing the first time you would drink it but its different and nice.
This is a great pizzeria in Lafayette and has great prices.

This place is just terrific, a true gem of Hwy 287. The pizza has perfect crust, and delicious red sauce that you can tell is home made, as well as excellent toppings. Had great service every time we have been there. Happy hour has $1 off beer wine and cocktails. I definitely recommend you stop by or even plan a trip to Proto's, especially if you need a change in your pizza routine. A+

Absolutely WONDERFUL experience. Pizza was phenomenal, the canoles were sensational, and our wonderful server with the awesome flower Taurus tattoo was Magnificent. New favorite pizza place.

EXCELLENT little hideaway for delicious food.
The bartender has constantly been inviting and friendly. This last visit had a back on the job waitress who was knowledgeable and attentive.
The PIZZA is what you want here. Wonderful choices and healthy portions of ingredients.
