Bahama Road Veterinary Hospital

Hands down the best vet group in the Triangle. I drive 40 minutes just to get my hound to them. Been with them for over 20 years. They speak dog. Probably cat too but I don’t have any cats.

After removing my pets from the game playing Quail Roost Animal Hospital I brought them here. I am so glad I did. First they make you feel like your pet is the only pet in the house. I have two geriatric cats, a pair of sisters at almost 18 years old & a younger cat who is 2 years old.
I had to try and get an appointment as my cat has started having seizures (18yr old with no prior history.) While we do not know yet what is the cause I do know I appreciate having my pet examined with me in the room, not the mystery exam you get at Quail Roost where your animal is taken elsewhere to be looked at...... blood work is processed on site.... It's the first time I have ever been pursued to the parking lot by a vet to ask some more questions. That means that when you walk out of Bahama Road Vet your file is not tossed on a shelf...... they are still thinking about your pet when you are leaving.
Quail Roost can not return calls they offer to make to the pet parent of a sick cat but these folks at Bahama Road are still thinking about my cats care after we sign the credit card slip??? Whoa! I like it.
I kick myself for not coming to Bahama Road Vet sooner!!!!

I lost my two elder cats in the past year.
Bahama Road Vet was outstanding for getting them in for visits & when the time came to let them go.
I felt they helped me and made the decision easier. Mojo was 18 & ShayD 19 when they passed.
After a while we decided we were ready to get another cat.
We ended up getting 2 kittens.
So now we are doing well kitteh visits.
I have really appreciated the vets taking the time to answer my questions about male cats.
I have never had one before.
They give our kittens, Ash & Smudge all the attention and love that ShayD & Mojo were treated with.
How you can tell a good vet is when you choose them again to be their medical team.
That was exactly what was done, never considered taking them anywhere else...
Thanks to the entire staff at Bahama Road for the love & care they give our kitties and us as well by treating us like valued clients.

Our catz & us continue to patronize BRV Hospital in 2024.
I feel our catz are treated as valued patients.
I appreciate the vet & staff treating Smudge with kindness at our last visit.
Smudge was on the high strung side with a corneal scratch / ulcer injury in his eye.
The tech and vet treated him with kindness & understanding that he was in pain.
Thank you for being good to him, and helping us get him started on to the road to recovery.

I cannot say enough great things about this practice, they have the most professional, compassionate, caring, and genuine staff I have ever met, my dogs can sense the good vibes immediately, and the anxiety dissipates once they walk through that door. Vet tech Kayla goes above and beyond, and treats my dogs like family, they adore her! Dr. Cocchiaro has been nothing short of brilliant dealing with a multitude of complex issues with a newly adopted shelter pet who is now living her best life, pain free!
All procedures are thoughtfully explained, no unnecessary labs or charges, and a fraction of the cost of our previous vet.

We had to make a difficult decision to put our boy Cody down and because of his size tried using a mobile vet lapoflove but was very unsatisfied with their response. Called ahead and the staff and Dr Jones was awesome in helping us with this difficult decision. We love Bahama rd staff. Thank you for helping us with Cody.

I have a white pit that is my money pit. They were wonderful, my dog had an allergic reaction to a vaccine and they got him in and back immediately. They took very good care of my baby. Very grateful for them being close by and being so quick and helpful.

Very professional staffs, kind and courteous. They treat my 4 Great Danes with much love and caring. From puppies to now 7-9 yrs old little giants! Love this veterinarian hospital, Dr Heidi is the most kindest, caring, loving person to all my dogs. Can’t thanks them enough with all the cares towards them.

They have great Doctors that have compassion and care deeply for their patients as well as their owners and I recommend this vet to anyone. The Reception staff is also amazing, very friendly and caring.

We have been going to this Vet for a number of years. All the Vets are so nice. They are reliable, love animals and of course get your pet well. Dr Chris York is our favorite but all of them are very good Vets. I can't say enough good things about them.

Our cats have always gotten awesome care here. Everyone on staff is really friendly and helpful, and we've never had trouble being seen fairly promptly.
I love how diligent and transparent they've been about safety protocols during the pandemic, too.
2023 update: we've been going here for nearly ten years now and they're still just as great as ever.

They did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of her dog. The veterinarian techs were very helpful and the doctor was fabulous!

They took great care of my dog when she had a bad GI episode. My dog came back in the best mood and felt better. She loved the attention from the staff.

Very professional, very friendly, always has been in the 30 years and 4 big dogs later! Getting more expensive, but so is everything!

Highly recommend from friends & family, so went here for a 2nd dental consult. Was initially priced @ bout $1,200 for a single tooth extraction, supposed hole in tooth.
Bahama Rd thoroughly checked kitties tooth & did NOT need extraction/Surgery.

I have been a customer at Bahama Road Veterinary Clinic. Words cannot express the kindness, knowledge and the ultimate in compassion. The veterinary physicians that take care of my two dogs are absolutely brilliant. Dr. Hevener is the best. All I can say is that he has helped my dog in so many ways after experiencing a life limiting illness. Thank Dr. Hevener!!! I don’t know what I would do without you as my dogs veterinarian. If I could give a 10+ star rating I would.

The team at Bahama Road is always so friendly and helpful. They have been great since I moved to Durham and I couldn’t ask for a better veterinary practice for my dogs. I highly recommend them.
