After lots of construction and renovation, the Bass Lake Trail/Greenway has become a fantastic and enjoyable walking/biking trail. It extends from the end of Womble Park around towards Sugg Farm and finishing around the Bass Lake. I enjoy using the greenway to go for runs and use as a shortcut to get from one park to the next.

Nice path that connect the trails at Bass Lake to Womble Park. Smooth pavement, well maintained.

Last I recall from this trail, it was closed down due to construction. There was no feasible walking path from Bass Lake over to the park, even for the residents of the nearby neighborhoods.

If one is to take this path, I would recommend bringing a bicycle. The full path is at least 2 miles long.

FYI this leads you to a park which probably leads you to Bass Lake if you walk far enough.

This is a wonderful park. One thing that would help is to add signs. There are some off-shoots that are unmarked. Please mark them so people know where they lead. I’ve walked there 4 times and have never seen a sign indicating where those paths lead.
I’d also recommend that running groups choose a different trail. The path around the lake isn’t wide enough for groups so it’s not nice when people are out walking and are overwhelmed by 5 or more people pushing past.
