Food was above average, store was reasonably clean and the service was fast and friendly. They have lunch specials and menu prices are fairly reasonable. Brunswick Stew was one of the better I have ever had. Table had sweet, mild and hot BBQ sauce. I couldn't tell a difference between mild and hot, but the flavor was good. Most of the parking lot is a loose sandy gravel and is quite dusty when it's dry. Parking lot access from 22 and North Star, so in and out isn't too bad, even when traffic is heavy. Has indoor and outdoor seating and offer catering services.

Food is AMAZING and the cost is even better. When I saw the prices, I really had low expectations. Thanks for providing great food my entire family enjoys at a price that allows us to keep coming back! And the staff has always been super friendly and fast too!

Every visit every time for over 5 years has been exact, plentiful portions and downright delicious. Definitely get your money's worth and the prices are very good!

JR's has some amazing food. We stop to eat here often. They are so good that this past weekend,they catered our wedding. Whole hog, chicken,sides,drinks,etc. They performed a phenomenal job.

Great place to get your BBQ on. Wings are great, Brunswick stew is amazing, ribs and chicken are really good. The okra squash appetizers is the best start.

The rib plate for 1299 does not disappoint. You will not leave hungry. The burger is outstanding. The only reason I did not write this place hire for atmosphere is the guy is a gator fan Geaux tigers.

JRs rib shack smoked our Thanksgiving turkeys and we had a fried turkey and they were absolutely the best. We had leftovers but nothing left it was that good.

Delicious food no matter what you order, but I love the fried green tomatoes. You won't be sorry you chose this place to eat.

Green beans with the bacon in it...spot on!! I dig the atmosphere. The actual seating area in the restaurant may be a bit limited, but that's what makes it feel "cozy." Ya feel like you're in someone's home, which in a sense, you are. It wasn't very busy when I picked up my order, but the sense of urgency the staff exhibited, you'd think they were. No lolligagging. Professionalism at its peak. This business gained another patron.

Amazing bar b que, a can't miss dinner. Overflowing plates of meat, reasonable prices.

The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. This hole in the wall restaurant has some of the best ribs I've eaten. You can tell that the people who work here love what they do. Well worth the money.

Hands down the best bbq I’ve had in years!!!!! You almost forget to add your sauce because the pulled pork is so good!

Restaurant. Been going here for years. Food is awesome. Service friendly. Prices reasonable. Facility took a bad hit from Hurricane Michael. Rebuilt to look much the same inside and keeping many of the style and homey feel. Typical of the places I enjoy the most.

I love their chicken salad. I usually get the meal to go, but I have dined in before. Any food we have ordered has been good. I also love the Brunswick stew.

Small dining room busy for a Monday night but waitress got our drinks & took our orders within a reasonable time. Always enjoy the food here.
