Maui Coast Hotel

The are building a new section and I bet the rooms will be nicer. It seemed like the rooms needed a bit of updating. The bed was great. Layout of the room could be better. The bathroom was too tight and having the fridge right by the bathroom is too awkward. Staff was so friendly and very helpful. Jaime the courtesy driver is a great help. Pool area is perfect location. They have live music all the time. Lots of flight crews stay here. Highly recommend because of the location.

There are a lot of great things to say about this hotel. It’s relatively close to the airport, very close to a nice beach, near shopping, and near lots of great dining and food trucks. It’s central in Maui and a great starting point no matter what your destination is on the island. I loved that Kihei Caffe is on site as the restaurant as this ended up being one of the best places we ate on the island. I can’t recommend it enough.

The grounds were well maintained and clean. Parking is on site and only for hotel guests. It’s plentiful and convenient to find a space and get to your room easily.

The staff there was so hospitable and kind. Upon arriving, they told me that they upgraded me to a nicer room just because and it made my honeymoon that much better. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. No complaints about the bed which was just the right level of firmness for me. The bathroom was clean and spacious.

When I was checking out, there was a customer ahead of me in line who was unreasonable and upset and they never stopped being patient and empathetic to someone who was yelling at them. I was impressed at how calmly they handled the unruly guest and diffused things the best they could.

The pool and the hot tubs were nice and well maintained. There’s live music at the bar frequently and it added to the ambiance of the resort.

The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is under construction (As of July 2023). There are loud construction sounds and cranes surrounding the resort. This is something I can’t fault them for since they’re expanding and improving. All of the other positives more than made up for it.

Stayed here for 10 days for our honeymoon. The housekeeping services were excellent and very on top of cleaning your room daily. The lobby is beautiful and has lovely fruit infused water everyday. The pool was nice and calm, although there is construction going on. We didn’t mind the noise so it was just fine for us. Enjoyed the drinks and music at the pool each night. Rooms very clean and spacious. Close walking distance to a lot, including beach and restaurants. The cafe has amazing breakfast! I was very happy with our stay.

The location is great! The beach across the street is excellent and always a great spot to watch sunset. You can walk to stores and restaurants. The pool is fun and they have a good happy hour from 3pm-6pm. There's also a nice bar at the poo. Maybe we just got lucky but there were only adults in the pool. I love kids but not as much as I like a pool without kids! And Kihei Cafe in the front has great food too.

Excellent location. Friendly staff and lots of amenities at no extra cost: parking, wi-fi,laundry, bike rental, and more. The poolside bar has live music every night. Will stay here next time I travel to Maui.

This location is close to shopping and walking to beach. Beautiful clean spacious rooms. Friendly helpful customer services with Aloha welcome. The hotel has bikes for close distances. Huge gym, restaurant and pool! Butt who needs a pool when you have a beach right there?! Lol

Originally, we were supposed to stay in Lahaina, but our hotel burned down in the fire. We grappled with what to do, and decided to keep our trip to Maui but shift our stay to South Maui instead. In a bit of a scramble, I found the Maui Coast Hotel, and it seemed to fit all our needs at a reasonable price point.

I'm happy to say that our stay was wonderful. The room was clean, large, and very comfortable. The resort fees include the replenishment of bottled waters in your room fridge daily, and I appreciated that (the hotel we stayed at in Kauai only provided waters upon check-in). It's just one less thing to have to think about.

The staff were great and always helpful if we had questions. The location was perfect for us. It was close to a lot of things, and we would easily walk to the beach as well.

Something to keep in mind, there is an independently run gift shop in the lobby, and you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas there for $5 each per day. It's not well advertised, but I had emailed the hotel prior to our visit to ask about renting beach chairs and they shared this info with me.

My only complaint-ish is that a lot of the parking spots in the parking lot were pretty narrow. This might be a common problem as our hotel in Kauai was honestly even worse, but just keep this in mind if you rent a larger car. Ours was a midsize and not particularly big, but I still found some of the spots to be comically small and impossible to get into (especially if larger cars parked on either side).

Aside from that, no complaints! I would definitely stay at Maui Coast Hotel on future trips to Maui! It hit all of the marks (cleanliness, comfort, service, location) and was within our budget.

We actually went to the poolside bar to eat. We both had the fish and chips. Best I've had on Maui. Waiter was EXCELLENT 🌈

This hotel was really great for the price. I couldn't find much else in this price range that had as many positive reviews as the Maui Coast Hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and nice, and they even offer free amenities with your stay like bike rentals and tennis courts. Would certainly recommend.

Loved the Maui Coast hotel. Great value. Much more spacious rooms than the other hotels. Walk across the street to the beach and an ABC Mart and food truck within walking distance. Also, laundry facilities! Very practical. Liked it better than the five star resort we stayed at.

This Resort is very nice and clean with very friendly and knowledgeable staffs with alot of Amenities either on the Hotel Property or Nearby. It sits in and near the Natural Beauty of this Island Paradise.I highly recommend staying here on your next vacation or weekend get away.

Thank you for the perfect paradise getaway! The service was kind, efficient and top notch. Loved the ice cold towels at check-in. Spent much of our time in the pool. It wasnʻt big and fancy, but it was just right for my little grandson. He loved it!!! We will be back!

This hotel is very conveniently located, easy access to the beach, shopping areas, food trucks, beach rentals. There is enough parking and the pool/hot tub was lovely. The gift shop lady was very friendly too.

We stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel for 6 nights in mid-May this year and absolutely loved the experience. The service was outstanding. For example, we arrived at the hotel at around 11 am because we had an early flight, and even though check in was not until late afternoon, the staff lady at the desk said we could get our room early. She also upgraded us to a jr, suite because the room was ready and no other visitors were in yet.
There were countless little services that they provided. The shuttle took us to pick up our rental car that we decided to get when the Uber ride from the airport cost us $37. The pool manager let us use some towels for our trip to the beach. When we asked for local dinner suggestions, they were plentiful and accurate.
The nicest unexpected kindness was the bottle of champagne the manager offered to us when he found out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
I know a trip to Maui usually doesn’t include large amounts of time spent in your room or even at your hotel; but we found that we were happy to interact with the staff in the time we spent there. With all the social tension and discontent running rampant in the world, the point of a vacation is to rejuvenate and refresh yourself, right? I found, after my stay in Maui, that my faith in people’s generosity and kindness has been restored. This experience started in the Maui Coast Hotel each morning and carried over in the people we met and interacted with on the rest of the island. What a refreshing change from the overwhelming majority of the current mindset. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff here is exceptional. Warm, welcoming, eager to help. Housekeeping, engineering, front desk, everyone doing awesome work here. The room exceeded my expectations in terms of size, layout, finishes, cleanliness, and upkeep. Very clean hotel! Parking was plentiful. I enjoyed relaxing in the pool and hot tub in the evenings, hardly anyone around. The free on-site washers/dryers are so convenient for laundry.
