Kahului Airport

Well it's a small airport should it should be easy to navigate. A lot of airport buildings are open and allow a nice breeze to pass through. There is a good amount of timber framing around giving a handsome tropical look.

There is a simple tram which traverses on a single line to the two terminals and the car rental center.

Car drop off is easy, I did see several cars being apprehensive on during over the spikes. Don't worry; drive over them. They only shred tires if you reverse once you pass them.

USDA will screen your baggage for checked in AND carry ons for agricultural products. They were very courteous and professional. So no need to worry about that.

Location is great, it is about ten minutes from a beach park, a retail shopping center with a Costco. Very convenient.

Overall a nice, clean and modern airport currently under renovations. It served it's purpose well.

Small, and easy to navigate with life music in the background. The bathrooms had private stalls, were clean, and had luxurious finishes.

Very charming airport, has a super cute vibe and a super cute tram that takes u to places! The people are nice and chill! The place is a little rundown and old but some how makes it more charming!
The airport has a ton of open air! Not some thing you see around a lot!

I think what makes this airport so unique is how open it is. The warm ocean air wife’s throughout the entire airport with all of the open windows to the outside. It’s not uncommon to see birds flying in and out of the terminal which is quite uncommon most of other airports in the country.
You can definitely feel the relaxed and rich island culture when you walk off of your plane and enter this airport. Ferry open and beautiful but not much air-conditioning.

The tram that takes you to rental cara iand other terminal is so fun. The views are outstanding!

Organized well.the easy drop of luggage for United made travel hastle free.the security lines were moving at a good pace and through it in due time. The food shops and choices were limited so recommend packing snacks and food items

Amazing airport always willing to help anyone in need! Mostly outdoors due to being in Hawaii so the fresh air feels great

Easy in and out with TSA. If not, u gonna have a bit of a wait. Agriculture line is super easy and accessible if u are flying out in the morning.

It is the main airport to Maui, located in the north side of the island. There are improvements which has helped to create a memorable experience for guests. In the morning we arrived, at the baggage claim area, there was a band who played island musics as well as a hula dancer on nearby stage who performed to the tune of the musics.

Really nice airport. There were a number of options for dining and for refreshments. This is a smaller airport with just 39 gates in total. The airport was really well maintained and the bathrooms were really nice with plenty of urinals/stalls.

The airport is easy to negotiate and signage is clear.
The washrooms are well placed, love the designs on the doors.

Clean, spacious and well aired. Having lived in the tropicals, I was expecting this to be a crowded place and maybe with some amount of poor coordination. Love the layout and feel of the airport, a good introduction to the beautiful island.

We had a good experience at the airport thrilled to be in Maui. Luggage is ready when we got to the carousel and it was a very short walk to the shuttle to pick up the rental car ❤💪

The airport is a little out of date but good enough. If you want to charge your phone there are only few outlets along the wall. The tram is a bonus! A must use to get to the car rentals if you don't want to walk.

Good airport. Easy to get around. Food court. Sammy's Beach restaurant was great, too! Burger King, Starbucks, Old Plantation and more. AC and plenty of seating. We even were able to walk onto our Hawaiian flight from the gate, not like the Kona airport. Enjoy!

Honestly i was not expecting much but the airport was kept nice and clean and very well managed. You have few options of fast food like burger king and california pizza places and one small bar/food “island brews” by the end of all the gate 15.

TSA was quick and efficient. The airport has a variety of food and retail options available. The airport lacks a bit of seating when airplanes are full, so plan accordingly... along with nowhere to charge devices (which isn't really an issue if you know how to put diwn your phone).

The Kahului Airport or know as the OGG is one of my favorites. Every experience I had there since a little girl has been wonderful. The people are kind, generous and all workers do their best to make sure your time is valued. The entire airport has sanitation stations everywhere. I felt super safe and clean traveling during a pandemic. I left July 26, 2020 and reached Colorado July 27, It’s October 30 and I’m still healthy never got sick durning travel. My ticket agent for Delta ( Christopher Pruitt ) did an EXCELLENT job. He was able to help me over come a situation that almost had me stuck on the island. He did everything and called everyone he could to assist me, I was totally Satisfied and Grateful. Thank You Christopher. As you get upstairs food and beverage courts are available. Little shops sale Maui and Hawai’i memorabilia to take home. Charging stations and vending machines are also available. This airport does its best at keeping the island safe and the people safe. Lots of upgrades are happening. There is now a transit to help with transportation. Many rental car companies and taxis are around the airport as well as the Maui Bus, to assist you with transportation. All in all, I can’t wait to see this cute airport again. I love it.
