I wish that we stayed here for more than two nights! This resort felt much more intimate and quiet than some of the other larger resorts in the area. Helps that it's adults only! While it would have been nice to have a big lazy river or something, the pool area was beautiful and never felt crowded. The shuttle service provided was great and took out the stress of having to find parking at the beach. The drinks at the pool were very pricey, but that's to be expected at a five star resort. We only had dinner at the Birdcage because we didn't want the pre-fixed menu at the main dining room, but the food was fantastic. I got the fish collar, "Kama", and it was hands down the best piece of fish I've ever had. Service here is top notch and they make you feel like royalty! Mahalo

Had an amazing time here! The property is adults only which sets up a couples vacation beautifully. Rooms are all suites with balconies which gives tons of space in comparison to other hotels. Minibar that gets restocked with complimentary snacks & nonalcoholic drinks was a plus. The service here is absolutely top notch! We could text guest services for anything any time of day. The location is set off the beach, but their handy valet transport service will drive you with beach gear to any nearby beach anytime you like. Both restaurants on property were fabulous! The pool bar had fantastic food at lunch as well. We already can’t wait to come back!

While visiting Maui, we stayed here and the Four Seasons and found it much better than the Four Seasons! I wish we would’ve stayed here the whole time. It’s an adult-only, more quaint resort so it felt more catered to every guest. The rooms are very spacious and stocked with amenities, drinks and Hawaiian snacks. The restaurant is amazing so be sure to book your dinner reservation close to sunset for an incredible view. It is surrounded by lush greenery, so the only drawback is it is not right on the beach. BUT there is a driver and the resort has a reserved area. The person working on the beach, Karen, was great and remembered us every day. Overall, this is definitely our go-to next time we are in Maui!

Excellent stay!! I proposed to my girlfriend then we spent 2 nights here. The hotel gifted us a bottle of champagne and made our dinner really special. Other food was amazing (breakfast, poolside lunch), pool was incredible. They gave us beach stuff for the day. 11/10 we're already talking about coming back here in the future. Thanks!

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Service is truly outstanding from start to finish. Rooms were spacious, well stocked and very clean. Being adults only and well spaced out, the overall vibe is peaceful and quiet. Had breakfast everyday at their restaurant which was excellent. Overall highly recommended if staying in Maui.

This is the perfect place for a relaxing Maui getaway for adults only. The suites are large, inviting, nicely decorated and ours had beautiful views of Kaho’olawe, Lana’i and Molokini. We enjoyed the open-air gym with amazing views and had a fabulous dinner at the Restaurant. The Birdcage Bar is so charming with the darling lovebirds and yummy drinks.

The hotel surprised us with unexpected amenities—local snacks, soft drinks and home-made truffles.

Hotel Wailea is a splurge and worth every dollar!

Hotel Wailea was an incredible first stop for us on our honeymoon. The service is absolutely incredible. The staff is so helpful and they will drive you anywhere with their on demand shuttles. They even packed us some coolers to take on our Road to Hana journey. The rooms are spacious and the little kitchen is so nice. We loved the adults only atmosphere. All of the food was so delicious. I do wish it had been beach front but they make it very easy to go to the beach. Can’t wait to return!

My wife and I celebrated a major anniversary on Maui recently, and we stayed for about 10 days at Hotel Wailea. Our time there will surely become a lifelong beautiful memory!

We opted for a Celebration Ocean View Suite, which was spacious suite with a vaulted ceiling and unobstructed views overlooking the ocean to the west. It's a marvel we didn't spend the entire time just sitting on the deck! But there was much more to explore.

The service was high-quality, yet pleasant and easygoing. All service interactions were focused on ensuring we were having a good time. Valets had great suggestions for beaches based on our interests, and wait service was equally conversational and interested in how our entire Maui experience was going.

The food offered through the hotel was very good. At any hour of the day from morning to later in the evening, drop-in dining can be had at one of the various locations (restaurant, poolside, bar). The food was all consistently good, and of enough variety to suit different tastes and dietary restrictions. Cocktails and mocktails were all pretty good; some were excellent. Reserved dining at "The Restaurant" in the evening is another option, and I would recommend eating at least one dinner there as the food and service is excellent. We ended up chatting up our server somewhat extensively. :)

We also opted for a Treehouse private dining event. This was a true highlight of the trip. Of course, it will cost you a lot, but if you enjoy food and want an extraordinary experience, the Treehouse memory should last you a lifetime! A chef and server work with you to ensure that the menu fits any interests or dietary restrictions. We had a 9-course meal, which is not as over-filling as it may sound; nor was it composed of miniscule portions. Most courses were prepared in part or in full at a cooking station adjacent to our table, such that we could discuss the food with the chef as it was being prepared. Both chef and server were a joy to talk with, and they both were affable but also respectful of our privacy. I won't get into detail about the courses other than to say that it was a true culinary journey, and largely composed of locally-sourced foods (the chef estimated about 70% or more). It was a little hard to let go of the evening as it wound down.

The overall impression I have of Hotel Wailea is that they are truly devoted to giving guests an easygoing and memorable set of experiences, and do this very well. When possible, I would absolutely return to Hotel Wailea. Mahalo!

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Wailea for 5 nights, and enjoyed every second of it! The property grounds are breathtaking, and make for nice strolls and photo opportunities. The staff was outstanding and always ensured that we were enjoying our stay to the fullest.

We took advantage of their beach shuttle service several times, which will take you to any beach in Wailea and provide you with beach gear (chairs, umbrella, towels, and water). The drivers were very friendly (shoutout to Gustavo), the vehicles (Land Rovers) were clean, and pick up times were always 5-10 mins.

I also highly recommended dining at their Birdcage restaurant to catch an incredible view of the sunset.

If you’re seeking a truly relaxing Maui vacation that will far exceed your expectations, then Hotel Wailea is where you want to stay.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. We stayed here for our honeymoon. The service is second to none. The location in Wailea is close to almost everything. And the rooms are spectacular— they are enormous suites. You will not find a better hotel in Maui. I guarantee it.

Serene, quiet, and private are words that come to mind. This property is tucked away surrounded by sounds of the resort waterfall, and birds. We went here through Costco travels and took advantage of the activities offered here like Ariel yoga, Sunset yoga, Vagus nerve reset, sound bath, etc. This experience leaves you feeling calm, and balanced. The staff is prompt, helpful and proactive and making sure that the guests are well taken care of. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet getaway in Maui.

We came here on our honeymoon. To be honest, I was slightly skeptical because the hotel was not ocean front and the pool looked small from the photos. We arrived at the hotel which was on a magnificently beautiful property, gated and over looking the ocean, perched in the shadow of Haleakala. We had an amazing check in process and we were given the run down of the property. Our villa (which was amazing and about 800sqft) had an upgrade ocean view. Total ample space and a private balcony. We ate at the restaurant that night and I had the best ribeye I have EVER had. We had breakfast there almost daily which was also amazing. While the food was incredible, one of the main things that was unbeatable here was the staff. They anticipated your every need. From the drivers (who were there almost instantly when you needed them), to the front desk team, to all of the servers in the restaurants everything was just perfect. I cant write this review without specifically calling out James, the bartender at the pool. The pool was awesome by the way. Great size. Always got a space. Amazing. James and his team made the pool area. He was friendly, gave mixology lessons which were great, new the island inside and out and could tell you exactly where to go and what to see. He really made the experience at the pool top notch. We will absolutely be back to this hotel. While I know there are other great hotels on the island, I cant see staying anywhere else

Outstanding service and experience. If you are a sentient being between ages 18-82, this is the place to stay in Wailea. If you’re debating between the Four Seasons, Fairmont, or Waldorf- THIS is the place to stay. You are up the hill from all of the “big name” resorts and have on demand car service to set you up on all those beaches with towels chairs and umbrellas provided. This is the move.

Sitting at the airport already missing Hotel Wailea. We’ve been to Maui a ton, but this hotel is something special. Perfect for a romantic getaway - with a blissfully quiet, serene pool.

Every person working at the hotel was top notch. True hospitality.

Room was beautiful - we loved the wall of windows that opened.

We ate at the pool, restaurant and room service and all were excellent. The car service was handy as we could walk as far as we wanted each morning and the hotel would pick us up - within 5-8 minutes.

Cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay. We can’t wait to come back.

We recently stayed at Hotel Wailea, and it was a phenomenal experience! The rooms were spacious, with amazing ocean views that left us in awe. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like part of the Hotel Wailea family.

The restaurant served exquisite food, beautifully presented and a true delight for the taste buds. As parents, we appreciated the adult-only atmosphere, providing a peaceful retreat. The private shuttle service, with those cool defender trucks, made beach access easy.

Compared to other top-notch resorts like Four Seasons and Fairmont, Hotel Wailea stood out. We felt lucky to have chosen this gem for our stay. Can't wait to come back – thank you for an unforgettable experience!

An amazing experience. The suites were well furnished, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Don't forget the amazing shower and soaker tub.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. It's an adult only resort, which made the atmosphere more relaxed.
The resort isn't cheap, but neither is the experience. 👍

First time back to Maui since 2019.

Previously a big 'Four Seasons' fan, especially the Club Level.
That was until I stayed at Hotel Wailea.

I will only stay at Hotel Wailea for my upscale vacation experience in Maui from here on out.

Greeted with sparkling wine (non-alcoholic since we don't imbibe) and yummy truffles!

The rooms were beautifully appointed and the bed was comfortable too.

The shuttle service was great; super-convenient and upscale. Oh, and did I mention, no children. What. A. Peaceful. Vacation.

Don't get me wrong, kids are great, but I don't want to hear screaming kids or babies when I'm (paying) going somewhere to
r-e-l-a-x.

And relax we did! The rooms are well built, and everything was so quiet and peaceful. I could sit out on the beautiful balcony and see the whales out playing in the ocean or watch the sunset.

Our room included snacks refilled daily (from local suppliers) and filtered water and sodas.

Overall, the staff was outstanding. Sharizze, was our regular contact/concierge and did a great job helping us with our ever-changing needs while at the property (our friends - 2 other couples stayed at the property too, each staying 5 nights) The shuttle worked for our group of 6 on many occasions while there.

The breakfast each morning was relaxing in The Restaurant - Hotel Wailea. Part of our 8 night stay included a credit at breakfast each morning which we gladly took advantage of. We enjoyed Casey, one of the newer staff members there; so adorable and knowledgable about local things in Maui. Great attitude and you can tell loves her job. The staff at that restaurant was outstanding as well, especially their evening service staff. We had a prix fixe dinner there on our second to last night and it was perfect in every way, including the servers and staff. Every staff member we encountered was excellent.

Do yourself a favor and sign yourself up for in-room spa services when you're there. The provider they contract with is FABULOUS. We had a couple lomi-lomi massage and it was UHHMAZING! Really great, probably one of the best massages I've ever had - my husband said the same thing. Our therapists names were Malie and Abbie and they were phenomenal. They moved around furniture in our suite and set up their tables, hot towel/stone setup and music and it was just incredibly relaxing. We didn't leave our room the rest of the day, just enjoyed the great setting and views.

Only one pic to add right now but will update when I can. It's a view from our Celebration Suite balcony and you can see molokini crater.

Do yourself a favor and book your next Maui stay at Hotel Wailea.

The restaurant staff are amazing. Beautiful restaurant with amazing views. Excellent dinner restaurant for a special occasion. Celebrated my 50th birthday here… and I had a wonderful evening. Loved their $120 meal option which included three courses. The appetizer I chose was the lobster salad and it was amazing! (Decent amount of lobster). We also noticed there is a lounge called the Birdcage… We definitely will come back at sunset and enjoy the live music and a drink sometime.

This is one of the BEST Properties you will ever stay. We were on a a honeymoon and were conflicted between staying at Hotel Wailea and Four Seasons. So glad we choose this place for long stay. We stayed at Four Seasons also, and it’s gorgeous but Hotel Wailea is much better in terms of ambience, it has this Zen feeling and staff is next level amazing. Very very good property and we will come back! Thank you so much again
