Venture Physical Therapy Kalama Heights

Just recovering from knee surgery that included an ACL replacement and stem cell implants. Venture was right up to the task to implement a comprehensive rehabilitation program for a very complex situation. Ted and his staff were amazing!! Would recommend Venture for any PT needs that you may require.

Talia Petersen and the folks at Venture Physical Therapy have worked wonders for me. I went in with a variety of chronic pain issues and with kindness and understanding they helped me get to a place where I can move through my days with hardly a twinge. They are amazing!

My wife was sent for PT to help her shoulder, but Talia saw she also needed help with balance. Through her kind encouragement and skilled directions wife regained most of her balance back, which gave her more confidence. Thanks to the staff her life has been easier.

Venture Therapy at Kalama Heights in Kihei has been a huge blessing to my husband, Kaala, who had a severe cerebellar stroke 5 years ago that left him totally dependent, and unable to balance, walk, control his movements or speak clearly. We are so thankful that there is Neurological PT at this level available on Maui! Venture offers cutting edge equipment and therapies that rival RHOP on O’ahu and some of the mainland brain centers we have tried. Owner, Ted Anderson has brought in equipment like the Alter-G treadmill and Ekso Skeleton which have both provided exciting opportunities for Kaala to walk.

Kaala’s PT, Alyssa Fusco has been a constant source of encouragement for him and for me! She not only has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to neuro PT, but she has also made a real connection with Kaala, resulting in therapy that is fun and rewarding for him!

Allie was my PT expert and my experience with Allie was wonderful. She asked several questions about where and when the pain started. She then worked out a course of exercises to target the pain. She reviewed each exercise with me to ensure it was done correctly. She sent me home with copies of each exercise to do at home. After weeks of pt with Allie, I am now pain free. My experience was very positive with a positive outcome. Thank you Allie

Maura and the team at Venture really are a wealth of knowledge and kindness. After the first appointment I left feeling more confident, than I had in a long time, that we were able to reverse some the effects of housing twins had in my body!

I couldn’t be more impressed with my progress at Venture physical therapy at Kalama Heights. My doctor said that I am close to needing hip replacement surgery. I have been in constant pain in my back and hip, needing pain medication for a year and a half. I have been getting epidural injections in my lower back and directly in my sore hip to help with pain. When my doctor suggested that I give physical therapy one more try, I was very skeptical, but agreed. So my attitude was not in favor of working out my sore hip, but I went. My physical therapist (Ted) made me feel optimistic about getting out of the pain. And he had me ease into everything, with purpose while I was working out, also gave me exercises I could do at home. Every week I was making progress and feeling less pain. He showed me exercises that worked immediately for pain relief. I have now been off pain medication for a little over two weeks, and have skills to help myself to relieve hip and back pain. The clinic is thoroughly clean and gets sanitized after each use of all equipment. Ted Anderson is the most knowledgeable doctor of physical therapy I have ever been to. The staff are gentle and kind to we elderly people. I highly recommend Venture Physical Therapy.

Ted Anderson, the owner and Director of this facility, is THE MOST incredible doctor of physical therapy I have worked with in the past 25 years. I live in Los Angeles but was visiting Maui for an extended trip. I had had therapy on my sprained ankle for a month before arriving with no change/imporvement whatsoever. My friend on Maui recommended Dr. Anderson most highly. The front desk was so helpful with making my appointment. I have never had a therapist spend as much time, take as much care, and be so extremely talented in treating my ankle - within 2 treatments I was 80% better than when I had arrived. If I ever have a similar injury, I would save myself the time and money of trying all these therapists I have had in Los Angeles over the years, and just hop a plane to Maui and see Dr. Anderson - I dont believe I have ever written a review such as this for a doctor - he is THE BEST :)

Ted, the owner, has been my PT through two injuries--plantar fasciitis and patellar tendonitis, both of which he has helped me to recover. As a runner, I can't describe how helpful it is to know a great PT. I've seen 5+ PTs in the last 5 years and Venture PT has been the best. Highly recommend.
