Kamaliʻi Elementary School

The office staff/receptionist ladies are cold, unfriendly, rude, and never smiles even when I wish them well &/or happy holidays. Although I've noticed they are very friendly and smile at other Hawaiians. The principal and other administrative staff & teachers are great though! This school is much better than Kam3 Elementary School in Lahaina.

This is the best public elementary school on the island in my opinion.

A noticeably organized and well ran school

Kamali'i School is a mixed bag.. some good teachers... but not much accountability... They are good teachers because they love to teach or they are lazy and don't care... both exist at Kamali'i School... So it's all up to chance who you get as a teacher...

As far as Elementary Schools go, I believe this is the best option on the Island.

This school was great about 10 years ago, now it is just ok. Lost a lot of programs like the Christmas program. Also a lot of teachers left or retired. There are some good teachers here but they need to get some more, but I hear Hawaii is having issues recruiting qualified teachers this may be the problem.

The final straw was when the substitute teacher who we later found out was the "sub" for the entire year, sent a note saying she would not be at the students open house because she was essentially not being paid! Got a real kick out of that one so I had to post it here for everyone to see.

The administration staff is always rude and unfriendly, especially towards non-hawaiian parents. Teachers are kind however
