Jen”s knowledge and expertise as a functional nutritionist is exceptional. She listened deeply to what I am experiencing, then in the most understandable way, educated and advised me on the best path forward. She has a root cause mindset and continually researches and evolves her knowledge only as an expert does. I know if I do the work, I will see improvement.

If you seek a calm, serene, peaceful environment, this is it. No stylists shouting from room to room, having private conversations over your head, or imposing on your appointment time engaging your stylist in conversation.

Cheri is a superb nail specialist: accommodating, highly proficient and professional. She is also an excellent hair stylist. My sparse coverage of hair was cut by her for the first time and elicited compliments all around. She also cut my husband's hair to his satisfaction, checking with him frequently about his preferences.

All in all a very fine establishment.

I had the most incredible massage here yesterday. Jen, the owner, was my therapist. I love deep tissue massage and boy did she go deep! She worked out all the kinks in my neck and shoulders and asked several times for feedback on the amount of pressure, which I really appreciated. Her energy is so healing and so is the spa itself. Its beachy and casual decor is really comfortable... There's nothing stuffy about this space!

A really nice extra touch was I had a choice of scent for the massage oil which I think we're essential oils. I chose sweet orange, lime and coconut... It was delicious smelling!!

The spa also sells tons of natural products, handmade jewelry and some clothing, all of which seemed high quality and reasonable priced. Speaking of pricing, their massage prices are great, especially for this island. Overall I really loved this place. I'm going back for a facial next week!

I've had 2 massages, a haircut a pedicure and a facial here and let me tell you, they were all amazing. Jewel Salon and Spa is located in Makawao on Baldwin Ave, across the street from Makawao General Store. :) The studio is so lovely. Very beachy and clean feeling! I love that style so I felt right at home going in.

Jen was my masseuse both times (3-4 weeks ago and yesterday 8/31/15), she was very kind and gentle but also did deeper work where I needed it. I definitely felt better and more relaxed afterwards. She made sure I was comfortable throughout my massage and where she found areas that needed more work she made sure she wasn't hurting me. Oh and the choice of lotions were awesome! I highly recommend her for a good relaxing massage, so glad she is so close to me! :)

Jen also did my facial, which was my first facial and it was a fantastic experience. She really took good care of me and my face. It felt amazing, also I'm so glad that she uses non-toxic products.

Cheri did my pedicure (about 2 weeks ago) and my haircut(yesterday, 8/31/15). Pedicure was amazing! She knew her stuff and did an amazing job on the nail art, I got tons of compliments where ever I went. :) it also felt really nice to not have toxic stuff on my feet, and I can walk out of there knowing I was actually taking care of my feet. :)

My haircut was great also, Cheri did a really good job, she did my long layers way faster than I've ever had before and it turned out awesome!

I seriously feel I have found my one stop shop :) Thank you Jen and Cheri for an amazing experience, I am glad I have found you!

I have had my haircut a few times at Jewel, I have had both Cheri and Tanya, and decided to try a massage as well during my last visit, and I felt incredible. It was a deep tissue, finally, I have searched all over the island to get the right pressure of a deep tissue massage and I have now found it. Thank you Jen for helping me out with my back pain. I appreciate your knowledge and not only working my deep muscles but also checking in with me to see if I was ok. It's a comfortable place and not a over foo foo of a spa, the only thing missing was a beer. Having Jewel in Makawao is so convenient for me I am looking forward to swinging in on my way home from work for my next haircut and massage. Not a lot of upcountry places that I can trust, so thank you!

I would have to give Jewels Salon or recently changed to "Mirror Mirror" a 5 stars, I was very impressed with the professionalism, quality, and respect from the employers. they definitely are understandin to meet you're every need and make you feel like family. I am happy to consider it my new home salon.

Just had my 3rd facial with Jen and can't believe how much and how quickly my skin is changing! She uses only high quality natural products and techniques that really work. I have less redness, fewer noticeable lines, and people keep saying that I glow! My skin looks so good that I've even stopped wearing make-up!

Wonderful customer service, massages and waxes. Looking forward to trying out their hair color from Phyto. Highly recommended. Happy to have found such a gem of a salon on the island.
