Great little coffee shop right by the ocean! We visited here a couple of times during our stay. We always had great service, with friendly staff. Our drinks were great! We enjoyed listening to some music and there were guitars and other string instruments available for those inclined. Great little greeting cards and other handmade gifts.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for coffee during our morning walk. This is such a unique coffee shop in Kihei. They also sell a lot of cute merchandise and their own coffee if you would like to buy it as souvenirs for family and friends.

Service was friendly and quick. I got my usual chai latte. Not too sweet or bland. We only stay for a little bit and sat by the windows. Quick easy fix for coffee if you're staying in Kihei.

This place rocks. As someone from Seattle, it can be tough to find good coffee when traveling but this place really impressed. Props to Lava Java for their bold & delicious espresso, and for not drowning their drinks in syrup. Wish I discovered the place before the last day of my trip so that i could visit multiple times during my stay. This place is going on my list of must-visits when back in Maui!

We stopped in for a coffee and are so happy we did! The owner was very friendly and even wrote down some of his top picks on Maui. You can tell that this little coffee shop prides itself on making people feel welcome. We didn’t order any fancy drinks but the drip coffee was delicious and you can buy some to take home with you! Would definitely return and recommend!

Always a pleasure coming here. Owner is awesome, I order white mochas and there always on the money. I like mine strong, and I always feel the kick. He asked this morning if I like it sweeter or not, decided to go sweeter and it was still delicious !! I come here every time I'm in Maui, when I move here in a couple years, this will be in my daily routine !!!

This place not only had great coffee with lots of alternative milk and sugar free options, but their eclectic and community atmosphere really made my morning. The patrons and employees were relaxed and welcoming. I’m very picky about coffee and just came from Europe, their espresso was DELICIOUS and smooth. Lots of playful decor including helpful maps and info. Cannot recommend this place enough. It’s sure to put a smile on your face and provide you with a delicious morning coffee.

So yummy! Perfect simple menu! Forgot a frozen mocha with toasted marshmallow! And my son had a raspberry Italian soda! It’s was just what we needed walking around in the sun!!

Loved the coffee here. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was perfect. There are some seatings inside but mostly for to-gos. Definitely will be back if we’re in Maui again!

Only took me a few days to find this spot. So happy I did. As a coffee shop owner myself in Seattle it’s hard to fine the roast I’m use to and I will say this is the best one yet in Kihei! Thank you for my morning fix. When In Wa stop by Belfair Grounds!

This is my Wife’s favourite coffee shop on the island of Maui, and we always make a point of supporting local businesses.
Scott and Lava Java are Nō Ka ‘Oi at its finest.

My go to for daily coffee fix, nothing bad to say, doing what they do best with greatness. Buy 3lbs of coffee and get 1 free deal was perfect for bringing back home to brew and give out as souvenirs/gifts, they also have some baked goods, Maui grown coffee, and they know how to make a proper/real cappuccino (proper meaning right ratio of espresso/milk in the 1 small size) and the cold brew was perfection. Service was great and staff (family owned?) was also 5 stars!

So happy to found this beautiful shop at our holidays in Maui in 2018! I love the whole beans Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee. Shipped this coffee to Austria, Europe and will buy it again in future! Now I can send it to friends in the US, and when we are in The States on vacation, I have my delicious coffee!

A favourite cafe right in Kihei. The best chai latte. I got 1/4 sweet and I drank one everyday on vacation. Friendly staff. They offer a frequent buyer card if you’re visiting for a while too. Highly recommend :)

My husband and I both enjoyed our lattes here, the best lattes we had while in Maui. Scott was wonderful to chat with and provided recommendations of restaurants, beaches and hikes in Maui. Only wish we would’ve found this sooner in our stay, we only got to visit a few times before we left. We will be back!

Awesome experience, great coffee and perfect customer service each time we went. One day we saw all the large bundles of fresh coffee coming in so lovely. Highly recommend when in Kehei!

We loved this little shop! Yummy coffee and the atmosphere was great. They have a really cute sitting area and shop and they even let my daughter play their ukulele. Tiny shop with a ton of personality!

I have been here every single day since I got here and I cannot get enough! The vibe is great, the staff is incredible and the food & drinks are top tier ! Try a banana Mac nut mocha there with some banana bread ! It will literally change your life !
